A Fantastic Virtual Launch for MUCH ADO ABOUT BASEBALL with Chris Baron!
I was SO delighted that I got to iconic New York City bookstore Books of Wonder hosted the virtual launch of MUCH ADO ABOUT BASEBALL and the launch of my dear friend Chris Baron’s newest novel, THE MAGICAL IMPERFECT! Chris and I met because our debut novels, MIDSUMMER’S MAYHEM and ALL OF ME, published in the same year (and on the same day!). We did a book tour together during the summer of 2019, and have remained close writer friends since then. I love his newest book, and I know so many others will, too!

An Amazing Launch for MUCH ADO ABOUT BASEBALL!
After over fifteen months of virtual events, I was overjoyed to be able to hold an in-person outdoor event for the release of MUCH ADO ABOUT BASEBALL! The Silver Unicorn Bookstore held a fantastic launch at a local park; check out the video to see the fun conversation between me and Paul Swydan, the owner of the Silver Unicorn.
After the books were signed, we headed to my house for an outdoor party, complete with a tent, signature cocktails, and lots of food! It was a magical way to launch this book!

A Fantastic nErDCampCT 2021!
I was honored to be a part of nErDCampCT 2021, taking part in panels on “The Heroes of Our Their Stories”
and “Writing Verse for Kids.”

What was it like writing MUCH ADO ABOUT BASEBALL? Well, as you can see in this interview I did for Writer’s Digest, the struggle is real! But I found my way through the challenge of writing this book my confronting and using an old nemesis: the synopsis. nErDCampKS 2021!
I had a wonderful time at the (virtual) nErDCampKS 2021!
I took part in a deep, thoughtful discussion of how literature can help children be the “heroes of their own stories” with Kirsten Larson, Lindsay Metcalf, Bethany Hegedus, and Supriya Kelkar!
And I was also part of a fabulous panel on celebrating STEM in picture books and novels with Vicky Fang, Jen Malia, Katey Howes, and Rebecca Balcarcel!
I’m grateful as always to connect with fantastic educators and authors!

I was so excited to be invited by acclaimed author Steve Sheinkin and awesome librarian Stacey Rattner on their Author Fan Face-off on YouTube! I was challenged by a young fan, 6th grader Astrid, who REALLY knew everything there is to know about MIDSUMMER’S MAYHEM! I was so impressed by her encyclopedic knowledge and calm, composed demeanor. She is one cool customer and clearly reads and absorbs everything! Check out the segment below!
