I was delighted to write this post for Writer’s Digest on having six books published in 2021! As I mention in the piece, I never intended for this to happen—it came about due to a combination of coincidence and good luck. Read the whole post here.

I was thrilled to learn that my debut picture book, SEVEN GOLDEN RINGS, has been selected as a Must Read title selected by the Massachusetts Center for the Book — the long list for the Massachusetts Book Award! I’m even more delighted that I’m joined by fellow Soaring ’20s Kelly Carey and Mary Wagley Copp on this list in the picture book/early reader category, as well as friends Jarrett Lerner, Lisa Rogers, Jane Yolen, and Heidi Stemple! I’m so fortunate to be in a state that has so many talented writers — check out the whole list here!

The Women in STEM and Kidlit Panel at the Heart of STEM Conference!

I loved being on this panel with fellow authors Julie Hampton, Janice Lao, and Vicky Fang for a “Women in STEM and Kidlit” panel as part of the Heart of STEM Conference for educators! We had such a wonderful time chatting about our careers, why we write books for kids with STEM elements, and how to encourage kids to explore STEM! You can find the recording and lots of other inspiring sessions by signing up for Carly and Adam’s Heart of STEM Conference here.
