Riverside Warrior (Riverside Docks Crew Book 1) by Jess Peters
I have a new book available for pre-order!
The Crew stole my freedom.
They changed my life.
But I’m a warrior
Frankie Gomez, the gang leader’s son. The future of the Riverside Docks Crew has claimed me.
I didn’t want anything to do with the gang. I didn’t want anything to do with him.
I didn’t have a choice.
Frankie, Joe, Ash.
I’m surrounded by these men with no way out.
The Crew is for life. The Crew is thicker than blood.
But when I find myself in the middle of the gang wars, Frankie is the only person who can save me alongside his two bodyguards.
I will survive this.
Warriors always do.
This is the first book in a reverse harem, dark romance series, featuring dark themes and gang violence.

A Whirlwind of Colours (The Light to my Darkness book 2) by Ivy Smoak
This is the second book in the Light to my Darkness series.
One great love. That’s what every heart craves. I was lucky enough to find mine when I was 19. But I wouldn’t describe myself as lucky now.
My husband looks at me like I’m the light of his life. We live in a penthouse apartment that overlooks Central Park. My closet it filled with designer clothes and more pairs of shoes than I can count. I have everything I could possibly want at my fingertips.
And I’ve accomplished my dream of writing a novel. I wrote my love story. Every kiss, every touch, every memory compiled in a manuscript. The pages make my heart ache, my tears flow freely, and my cheeks hurt from laughter. My whole life is written on these pages.
I have the perfect husband. The perfect family. The perfect life.
But I don’t remember any of it.
By the stars, this book hit the emotions deep. It was brilliant, although a roller-coaster of a read.
I love James. I absolutely love him. I feel so sorry for him and I applaud him for how he’s coping with everything. I love how he’s trying to recreate things that have happened. His just amazing. Perfect. Everyone needs a James.
Penny as well. She’s a brilliant character, but without her memories she’s become so stubborn. I couldn’t even begin to imagine what that would be like, but James is absolutely perfect. She’s being stubborn about getting to know him again when her heart knows there’s a feeling there. I feel sorry for Scarlet, because she doesn’t understand why her mum’s different. At least Liam is alright though.
Their relationship has been absolutely fantastic to read, and then this happens. I have every faith that things will work out in the end, but it’s gut wrenching reading it. This book has seriously hit the feels deep.
The ending as well. Jesus christ Ian, you should have known better! And Penny, you shouldn’t have pushed him to go.
I would completely recommend this book. I would recommend reading The Hunted Series first otherwise I don’t think this book would hit those feels like they have mine.
I can’t wait to read the next book because I need everything to end up ok.
My rating: 5/5*
The Light to my Darkness by Ivy Smoak
This is the first book in this series set around 3 years after The Hunted Series.
I fell in love with the handsome stranger the first time I ever saw him. A chance encounter on a rainy fall day. And I know he felt the same way. Until suddenly…he didn’t.
In the blink of an eye, I lost everything. He stays out late. Hides phone calls. But what hurts the most? He looks at me differently. Like I’m no longer the most important person in his life.
I’m determined to get to the bottom of it. Because it’s not just me I have to protect anymore. And it’s because of him that we’re in danger…
This book was brilliant. After reading The Hunted Series, it hit the feels.
I absolutely love James and Penny. It was brilliant to see them 3 years on, with their kid and with Penny carrying her second.
God, James is just brilliant. I love him. He’s almost perfect. Even 3 years on, and there’s still that aprk between them both. Penny is going through alot with this second pregnancy. I love how caring James is towards her.
Scarlet is sweet and all, but personally, it reminds me why I’d rather be surrounded by cats

Devotion (The Hunted Series Book 4) by Ivy Smoak
This is the 4th and final book in The Hunted Series.
Tick tock. One day before the wedding of her dreams, Penny is in a city that is no longer her home. Alone. Heartbroken. Lost. Could the past few years really mean so little to a man that became her world? To a man she’d do anything to protect? There is no future without him. There is no her without him.
With only 24 hours until the wedding, is there enough time to repair the damage? Tick tock.
And even if Penny and James do come back to each other, Isabella is still out there plotting. The world is still against them. Darkness still lurks in the shadows of James’ past. A student and her professor were never meant to be forever. They thought it was an everlasting love, but it was doomed from the very start. Tick tock.
Temptation led to addiction, which exploded into an eruption of chaos. And when the pieces settled, only one thing became clear…devotion. One great love. A love worth fighting for. Because the only thing that lasts forever is love.
This book was absolutely fantastic. The whole series has had me absolutely gripped.
This book was a roller-coaster of a ride. It hit all of the feels. I absolutely love James. He is an absolutely fantastic character. I love his backstory, and I love how his character has developed. Penny has been fantastic as well. Seeing their relationship grow and develop was absolutely brilliant. I love them.
All of the other characters were brilliant as well. We really get to know them. Melissa and Rob were firm favourites for me.
This book had it all. The wedding was brilliant, and then everything went to hell. Oh god, Isabella is a complete phycho. Things just kept happening. There was a constant stream of twists and turns, which had me absolutely glued to this book.
The ending was brilliant. Penny and James deserved their happy ending. I absolutely love James, and after everything he’s been through, I was so glad with how things turned out for him.
I just absolutely loved this whole series. Everything was absolutely brilliant. I would definitely recommend this series.

Sinners’ Playground (The Harlequin Crew Book 1) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti
This is the first book in the Harlequin Crew series.
Dead girls don’t feel pain.
But they like the taste of vengeance.
Maybe that’s why I came back to my hometown. Because it sure as hell wasn’t for the surf. But what else was I supposed to do when I found myself in Sunset Cove with twenty bucks to my name, the key to my enemies’ secrets hanging around my neck and a mouth full of grave dirt that wouldn’t wash clean?
I hate the Harlequin boys.
But this is the perfect opportunity to take what they owe me. Because once upon a time, they broke my heart, stole my life and sent me away from everything I’d ever known.
Fox, JJ, Chase and Maverick.
The four names tattooed onto my heart more permanently than any of the ink on my skin. They don’t just live in this town anymore, they rule it. And the view here may be beautiful, but the sun, sea and sand hide dark secrets.
The gangs.
The lies.
The violence.
It all lurks beneath a veil so thin that once you’ve seen through it, you can never close your eyes to the truth again.
But I don’t plan on closing my eyes. I have four devils set in my sights. And this dead girl no longer has anything to lose
This book was absolutely brilliant, like every other book these two write.
The characters are fantastic, the storyline is brilliant and the cliffhanger was just as painful as the other ones in all of their books.
Rogue is a fantastic character. In the ten years since the prequel novella, she has gone through so much stuff and come out a strong character. I love her.
The boys are great too. Their divided after what happened in the prequel. JJ is my favourite. He’s nice and fun, although his lifestyle and job isn’t particularly to my taste. Fox is ok too, however he is a possessive ass and isn’t giving Rogue what she needs. Chase had moments when he was ok, but at the end… What the hell, Chase? Maverick. What happened? Holy hell. He must have gone through some shit in prison to end up like that.
I love the way Rogue gets to know the boys again, as the men they are now. She has every right to hate them, but she also doesn’t know what they’ve been through with Luther.
I’m intrigued to see what Luther’s like now. He was an absolute dick, and by the sounds of it, he still is.
Shawn.
Bloody Shawn. It’s amazing how you can hate a character you’ve never met so much.
I loved the connection between his gang and the Harlequin’s, and yet they all don’t know it yet.
The ending. Christ, I didn’t see that coming. I had prepared myself for everything to go wrong, but it still managed to surprise me.
Overall, this book was fantastic and I’m looking forward to the next in the series. I would definitely recommend reading this. I’d also recommend reading the prequel, Devil’s Pass, although it’s not necessary for reading this book. It’ll just give an idea of how everything went to shit in the ten years and why they hate each other.

Eruption (The Hunted Series Book 3) by Ivy Smoak
This is the third book in The Hunted Series.
New York was supposed to be our fresh start. Our happily ever after. But James is hiding something from me.
Secrets from James’ past, his scheming ex, and unsupportive parents make it hard to breathe in this city that barely feels like my home.
I thought I wanted to marry him. I thought he was the man of my dreams. I thought we’d be happy as soon as we got away from all the rumors. But now? I don’t think I ever really knew Professor Hunter. And I can’t walk down the aisle until I know the truth.
I’m absolutely loving this series. The characters are great, the storyline is brilliant, and the plot developed at a good pace.
I loved that this book jumped forward a bit from theast. We see Penny graduate, and then trying to fit in to life after college with James.
I absolutely love James. His brilliant. I love his dark past, and I love how he is now. Penny brings the best out in him, and vice versa. They are both brilliant characters and their relationship is brilliant.
Isabella is a bitch and a half though. Jesus, the ending. I felt so sorry for Penny. She wasn’t really left with much choice, and I could also understand why James was upset. They’re both a little hot headed when they’re hurt and angry, when really, they just need to talk to each other.
I have every faith that they’ll fix everything in the next book, especially now that she’s approached his parents.
This is such an easy read and a brilliant series. The character development is brilliant. I would definitely recommend it and I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Addiction (The Hunted Series Book 2) by Ivy Smoak
This is the second book in The Hunted Series.
Temptation has quickly turned into addiction. Penny fell hard for her mysterious professor, but secrets have torn them apart. After all, scandalous affairs are meant to go down in flames.
Now that he’s not speaking to her, she feels numb. And what hurts the most is that he appears to be completely fine. As she struggles to accept that their relationship is really over, her best friend’s crude advice is in the back of her mind- the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.
Will she be able to move on, or is her addiction to her alluring professor only just beginning?
I absolutely loved reading this book. The characters are brilliant and the storyline is great.
Penny and James are both brilliant characters. Their relationship is the best, and it’s brilliant how it’s developing as the story goes on.
Penny is learning more and more about him, and they’re just falling more in love. I love the fact that she isn’t with him for his money. Penny’s very down to earth. They’re having some hot moments between them, but they’re also having some problems on the way, but they keep overcoming them. I can’t blame her for falling in love with James, and the ending, cor, he’s just brilliant.
Overall, I’m loving this series, and I found this book better than the first one. It’s an easy read and the characters and storyline are brilliant. I would definitely recommend it.

Temptation (The Hunted Series Book 1) by Ivy Smoak
This is the first book in The Hunted Series.
Shy student Penny Taylor always follows the rules. At least, that’s how it appears to her classmates. But she has one illicit secret – she’s fallen hard for her professor. And she’s pretty sure he’s fallen for her too.
Everyone loves Professor Hunter. He’s tall, dark, and handsome. And completely unobtainable. But it’s the secrets hiding behind his deep brown eyes that allures Penny. Secrets darker than she could ever imagine.
James Hunter gave up his billionaire lifestyle in NYC last year to become a professor. The easiest new rule to follow: don’t fraternize with the students. It’s easy to follow because he’s become quite the recluse in his new town – the only way he knows how to keep his secrets buried.
But he never expected to be teaching such a beautiful student. He has to resist her. He needs to walk away. Penny deserves better than a man with his demons. But she’s daring him to cross the line. And he’s never been one to resist temptation.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was an easy read. The characters were great and the storyline flowed and developed well.
Penny was a good character. She was a little naive, but I guess she also acted her age. There was definitely a spark between her and her Professor, James Hunter.
I actually really liked him. He was broody, and mysterious, but also kind of sweet. After everything, I still believe that he’s hiding something, and after the ending, I’m not sure whether he really has the right to act like that. We’ll see in the next book though whether I’m right or not. I still like him though and the moment between them both were on fire.
I love a forbidden romance, and this book had that. My issue was the fact she kept calling him Professor Hunter most of the time when they were alone. If you’re getting that close to someone, I think you’d be on first name basis. Hopefully these eases in the next book.
Overall, I actually really enjoyed this book even though it was a little cheesy at times. It was an easy read and the characters and storyline were pretty good. I’ll definitely be reading the next book, so I’d definitely recommend it.

Those Heartless Boys (Saint Clary’s University Book 1) by E. M Moore
This is the first book in the Saint Clary’s University series.
Stone Jacobs must die.
Okay, okay. Maybe just maim him a bit. Peel off his perfectly chiseled handsome looks until he knows what it feels like to be normal. And while I’m at it, I’ll throw his friends in, too. They all deserve to be taken down.
I should’ve seen it coming. I should’ve felt it in my gut. The moment my treasure hunter father went missing, my arch enemies sprang into action. While I still reeled, they mapped out their twisted trail of retaliation. They planned their payback, finally acting on what they’ve always wanted.
Because grieving is the perfect time to blackmail someone in the Jacobs’ playbook.
Well, I have news for them. My back may be up against the wall now, but a Wilder will never bow to a Jacobs.
Never
I really enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was great, the characters are great and the plot developed well.
Dakota is a brilliant character. She’s feisty and strong willed, and I loved watching her emerge from her sheltered life. Her relationship with the three boys is brilliant too. They are harsh at the start, but they each grow on her.
Each one of them has their own personality. Stone is a tough character. He’s harsh, but I love how he’s gradually changing the more he’s around Dakota. Wyatt and Lucas are both brilliant. Who doesn’t love a cowboy? I loved all of the moments they had with her.
The storyline is brilliant, and definitely different. Lance Jacobs is a dick, and I was quite happy with the ending. I don’t believe that Stone knew what he’s father was up to at the end. What a cliffhanger though, and the reveal of that third party leader. Definitely didn’t see that coming.
Overall, this book was great and I’d definitely recommend it.

Devil’s Pass by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti
This is a Novella prequel to Sinners Playground (The Harlequin Crew Book 1)
Ten years ago, The Harlequin Boys broke my heart.
I thought my life was complete with them at my side, the five of us against the world, having each other’s backs no matter what the cost.
I’d fight for them until my dying breath.
It’s just a shame they didn’t feel the same.
Once upon a time, my imperfect world shone bright with the light of four boys I would have killed for.
This is the story of how they destroyed me.
I really enjoyed this Novella and it has me super excited for the first book in the series coming out.
Rogue is a brilliant character and I can already tell that she’s going to be really hardcore. She’s already been through a lot and I think the events of this Novella are only going to make her stronger.
The four boys are great. Each one seems to have their own personality and I loved the relationship they each had with Rogue. You can’t fault their reasoning behind their actions, however harsh it was. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of them more in the main book.
The storyline was brilliant. They did everything to protect her, but she doesn’t know that. I can already imagine how the main book is going to go. She doesn’t know the truth behind their actions and hates them for what they’ve done. They eachoce her but want to protect her from Luther’s threats.
I can ready tell that Luther is an arsehole, and if he’s in the main book, I can imagine he’s even more of a dick 10 years later.
This was a brilliant prequel and introduction to this new series. The characters are ready great and I’m looking forward to reading the main book and seeing what has changed in 10 years.
My rating: 5/5*
