Ashes of Foreverland by Tony Bertauski

This is the third book in the Foreverland series.

I enjoyed reading this book.

It was well thought out and brought the series together to make a good ending.

This book has dystopian all over it. Foreverland itself and especially the Nowhere near the end. I would say it is a must read for any dystopian fan.

I liked seeing Danny and Cyn together. They worked well together. Danny had grown up alot from the last time we had seen him. It was the same with Cyn. They were both battling their own demons and facing them in this book.

I found that this book did get a little confusing at times however.

The ending did all make sense though.

Overall, the whole series was a great read and I would definitely recommend it.

Inevitable Ascension by V. K. McAllister

This book is a rapid-fire action/adventure novel packed with a host of twists. It contains a ton of time travel within it.

I liked Lux and the humour she has. It made the book a lot better than it would have been without her.

It was better than I expected. It had a slow start which probably set that expectation, but when the time travelling begun, it definitely picked up pace.

The ending was a massive twist which I didn’t see coming. Everything suddenly came together and intertwined to make sense. I found it quite clever.

The few illustrations were good and well done, however, personally, I could have done without them for the pure reason in that it takes away that bit of imagination in picturing what things look like yourself. The illustrations just give that to you. Nonetheless, they were good and I’m sure other would appreciate them more than I most likely did.

Overall, I ended up enjoying it, however It didn’t have the big gripping impact that some books have on me. I wouldn’t rush in reading the next in the series so I have dropped one star.

I would still definitely recommend this book.

The Child Thief by Bella Forrest

This book has a very interesting storyline.

The Child Redistribution Adoption System (CRAS) determines whether a family can keep their child or not. It claims to be the cure for America’s failing economy. This book follows Robin who fell into the scheme and lost her own child to the system. 2 years later she’s trying to fight back with a group she meets.

The storyline moved at a good pace and the plot developed well. It had plenty of action in it. As with most of the author’s books, it did end on a cliffhanger.

Robin’s character was good. It was nice to see her personal development from the beginning to the end. I can see her becoming a very good lead character and fighting for what she wants. I also liked the mysterious side of Mr X.

I’m really looking forward to reading the next in the series. I have indeed pre-ordered it already. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book. Its a very enjoyable, gripping read.

Nemises (Enhanced #10) by T. C. Edge

This book was a rollercoaster ride. It was full of action and emotional battles throughout.

The storyline continued to develop well. I thought it was all going to be over for them towards the end. All seemed lost. Then it changed. It was exciting to read.

I felt sorry for Brie in this one. She has become such a strong women. And then as with everyone, war happened.

I also felt sorry for Director Cromwell. He had done terrible things and deserved what was coming. Nonetheless, how he was at the end, I still felt slightly sorry for him.

Overall, it was a brilliant end to the series. I would definitely recommend this series. It was brilliant, exciting and engaging the whole way through.

My rating: 5/5*
