Annihilate Him (Complete Vols. 1-3, The Annihilate Him Series) by Christina Ross
This is the boxset of all three books in the Annihilate Him Series.
Love is tested. Lives are claimed. Nothing is certain. In a flash, one can lose it all.
But what happens to those who are left behind?
Jennifer Wenn and her husband, Alex, must face just that when a crisis first takes hold of Wenn Enterprises—and then when a second, wholly unexpected crisis throws everything into turmoil. Is love enough to see Jennifer, Alex, Tank, Lisa, and Blackwell’s two daughters through one of the most terrifying events of their lives?
As this this harrowing love story and adventure unfolds, the suspense deepens, people rise up, enemies dig in, secrets are exposed, love burns hard—and a white-hot war takes place that will rattle Wenn Enterprises to its core.
This series was a roller-coaster of a ride, but I absolutely loved it.
After reading the Annihilate Me series, you already love and know Alex and Jennifer. They just became even better in this series. Jennifer was the same sassy character, but if anything, she became stronger. She knew how to handle Alex’s lifestyle with all those rich people better. Alex is just brilliant. I absolutely love him. Their marriage is so strong that it’s just brilliant.
The storyline jumps straight in. Everything starts going wrong right from the start, and the. As the books progress, they just get worse. Alex and Jennifer dealt with everything brilliantly.
The crash and the island were a great read on top of the already present problems that Wenn was having. They dealt with everything brilliantly.
God, Stephen Rowe was an ass. He took some low blows while they were lost on that island. He didn’t waste anytime in kicking Alex out.
I loved how Alex and Jennifer dealt with everything. They were clever about it, and in the end it paid off, even with everything they were dealing with personally.
Overall, I absolutely loved this series. It expanded on the Annihilate Me series well. Alex and Jennifer have been brilliant characters and the storyline was great and exciting. I would definitely recommend this series.

Annihilate Me (Complete Vols. 1-4, Annihilate Me Series) by Christina Ross
This is the compete Annihilate Me series boxset.
Description: The business of love is dangerous.
For Jennifer Kent, a recent MBA graduate who has been searching for work in Manhattan for four long months, time and money are running out. If she doesn’t find work soon, she’ll need to return to her native Maine, where the job situation is even more bleak.
And where her abusive parents lie in wait.
But when an unorthodox arrangement is proposed, Jennifer decides to take it. She agrees to be the “girlfriend” of Alexander Wenn, the reluctant, billionaire CEO of Wenn Enterprises, who is so devastatingly good looking, he needs a beautiful woman like Jennifer on his arm to “keep the wolves at bay.”
In this case, the wolves are other women, all of whom vie for his attention so aggressively, they keep him from focusing on business at the exclusive events he must attend. It’s there that deals are cut. What they want is his money and his power. Damaged by a past event, the only thing Alex wants to do is focus on work. And to forget the past.
But can Jennifer deny their white-hot chemistry? As she’s swept into this glittering otherworld of society and big business, she finds herself struggling to keep from falling for Alex, an almost impossible feat she nevertheless must meet.
Armed with her MBA, Jennifer Kent knows about business. But what she doesn’t know is what could destroy her–the business of protecting her own heart. And maybe her own life when it’s put on the line time and again.
I loved reading this series. I’m also glad that I read the whole boxset because the whole story just flowed well. I didn’t even notice when one book finished and the other started, I was that drawn in.
I loved the characters. Jennifer is fantastic. She’s got so much wit and sass, and I loved how she treated some of those overly rich people at those parties. She made a point that being rich was no excuse not to have manners. I loved how she was smart too. She actually earned her job with Alex. I loved her devotion towards Alex as well.
Alex was also a brilliant character. I loved him. He just wanted to get on with his work and progress his business when he first met Jennifer. She took him by surprise. I loved how he was with her, and I loved seeing their relationship grow. They were brilliant together and their devotion was second to none. You could see the love between them, and after everything they both went through in the past, it was satisfying to see them happy.
Lisa, Blackwell and Tank were also great characters. They each had their own personalities which added to the plot.
The storyline was good. It built up well and left you wondering until the last moment. It developed at a good pace and flowed well. Even though the parties could be a little repetitive, they got to the point. They added to the story instead of repeating themselves. It was done well.
Overall, I loved reading this series and really enjoyed it. I loved Alex and Jennifer.

The Stopover (The Miles High Club book 1) by T L Swan
This is the first book in The Miles High Club, although it can be read as a standalone.
I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York.
The food, champagne, and service were impeccable.
The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better.
He was suave and intelligent.
We talked and laughed, and something clicked.
Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night.
With no plans, we made our own.
We danced and laughed our way around Boston and had a night of crazy passion that no woman would ever forget.
That was twelve months ago, and I haven’t heard from him—until today.
I started a new job and met the CEO. You can imagine my surprise to see those naughty blue eyes dance with delight when he saw me across the mahogany desk.
But I’m not that carefree girl anymore. My life has changed, I have responsibilities.
I just got an email.
He wants to see me in his office for a private meeting at 8:00 a.m.
Naughty blue eyes have no place in the workplace.
What kind of private meeting does he have in mind?
I loved reading this book. The characters were great, I enjoyed the storyline and the plot developed at a good pace.
Emily was a brilliant character. She was strong, and was able to handle Jameson’s temper. She had a no crap attitude and didn’t let him get away with treating her the way he did at times. She also brought out the best in him.
Jameson was also a brilliant character. He had a bad temper when he got too stressed, and he was out of order at times, but I really liked him. He developed well as a character. He had a brilliant connection with Emily, and she was really able to destress him.
I loved the spark between them and the way it developed. When they were together, they were brilliant. They needed each other.
The storyline was good and I enjoyed it. I liked their relationship at work, and I enjoyed her relationship with Molly and Aaron. I also liked Jameson’s brothers and how close he is with his family.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and I liked the storyline. I would definitely recommend this book.

The Master (Manhattan Records Book 3) by M. S. Parker
This is the third and final book in the Manhattan Records series.
Nate: I made a mistake, thinking that I could be with someone like her. One glimpse of a part of me she didn’t like, and she ran. I’m not going to apologize for who I am. I had a life before I met her, and I’ll just go back to that life now. That will be best for everyone.
Ashlee: I had been a fool to trust him, to think that he was a better man than what everyone said. I didn’t need to be at Manhattan Records anymore. Making a clean break will be the best thing for both of us.
Nate Lexington and Ashlee Webb are trying their best to move on without each other, but neither one of them is able to forget how right they had felt together. If they’re willing to try again, however, will their relationship be able to survive the worst that has yet to come?
I’ve loved reading this series and I thought this book finished things off nicely. I enjoyed reading it, loved the characters and the storyline was great.
Ashlee really came into her own in this book. She’s been a strong character throughout, but in this book when everything went to hell, she found herself. Especially nearer the end when she just had enough and put her foot down.
Nate is great. He really developed as a character throughout the series, and became better because of Ashlee. He realised when he had messed up, and came to terms with how he felt and fought for her.
Together they were a great couple. They had their moments, but they started to talk about it and understood each other. They realised that they needed to be together outside of the bedroom as well. It was a great development.
There was a lot of drama in this book, but it all interlinked. I think Nate and Ashlee handled it well.
Finley has been great as well. I enjoyed seeing his relationship with Ashlee develop, as well as him getting to know her mum, and then his relationship with Nate too.
It was a nice touch to have Ashlee and her mum get their closure with Mona and the past.
I liked the ending and thought it was very fitting. It was satisfying to see Nate and Ashlee get what they deserved together. It seemed a little rushed though. I loved it when they both admitted their strong feelings together, but it skipped a proposal completely, and I would have liked to have seen that.
Overall, I really enjoyed this series. Nate and Ashlee have been great characters and I enjoyed the storyline. I would definitely recommend this series.
My rating: 5/5*
The Dom (Manhattan Records Book 2) by M. S. Parker
This is the second book in the Manhattan Records series.
I make plans and follow through. I don’t take risks, not like this. But he distracts me in ways I never thought possible.
I know the danger, but I dare to hope that he’ll change…for me.
Manhattan Records’ employee Ashlee Webb knows it’s a bad idea to sleep with the company’s founder, Nate Lexington, but she’s helpless to stop. However, when Nate’s past comes to light, will it be the wake-up call she needs to break away, or can their turbulent fling survive?
I enjoyed this book. The storyline was great and I love the characters.
Ashlee is a great character. She’s trying to understand Nate even though he’s closed book. When he acts like an ass, she stick by her guns and waits for him to realise. She’s a strong character.
Nate can be a right asshole at times, but I really like his character. It was nice to see him drop his walls at times, and he was really making good progress until the end. It was nice to see him face and past and try to fix his mistakes. Ashlee brings out the best in him.
Their relationship developed well. They definitely have a spark and there’s a physical connection between which is on another level. Their problem is that they don’t communicate enough.
Ashlee’s reaction at the end is understandable, but Nate went straight into defensive mode instead of calmly explaining himself. I think of they talk about what’s happened, they can work it through. They clearly feel strongly towards each other, so I think they can move forward together.
It was nice to see Ashlee’s relationship with Finley develop in this book. I quite like how he’s trying to help Nate, someone’s he’s known a long time, yet trying to protect Ashlee at the same time.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to the next. I would definitely recommend this series.

The Boss (Manhattan Records Book 1) by M. S. Parker
This is the first book in the Manhattan Records series.
What do you do when your boss’s boss flirts with you, promises you a good time and nothing more, yet keeps coming back for more?
Nate Lexington is one of New York’s most eligible bachelors and intends to keep it that way. He doesn’t let anyone get close…until a chance encounter with employee Ashlee Webb turns his world upside-down.
Nate discovers her virgin submissiveness and is smitten. A relationship blossoms until he makes a knee-jerk decision that screws up everything.
I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the storyline and I love the characters.
Ashlee is a great character. She speaks up for herself when necessary, and isn’t afraid to put Nate in his place. I liked seeing her learn new things about herself as she got to know Nate.
I really liked Nate. He’s a right arsehole at times, especially when it came to Ashlee at work, but I think reading his point of view made me like him. He was battling with his feelings having not felt that before.
I think Nate and Ashlee do have a spark, and they are pretty hot together. Together, it works, although they both need to communicate more.
I think the storyline was good. I’m intrigued how the next books going to go after the ending. Ashlee definitely should have told him although he shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to the next one. I would definitely recommend it.

Mending Fate (The Scottish Billionaire book 3) by M. S. Parker
This is the third and final book in The Scottish Billionaire series.
Alec: I shared my deepest secret with Lumen, hoping things will be better between us. But I can’t catch a break. My life blows up again when my daughter goes missing.
Lumen: To say all hell broke loose is an understatement. When Alec’s daughter went missing, so did Soleil, the girl I mentor in foster care. It stung when Alec said finding his daughter is more important than some random runaway. But that’s just one more person telling me I don’t matter.
With people they love in danger, Lumen and Alec must decide where their loyalties lie and hope for a future together.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are great and the storyline was good. It was a good ending to the series.
Lumin and Alec’s relationship and connection has been brilliant to read. They are both brilliant characters. Alec was a little frustrating at the beginning. He didn’t understand why Lumin was more worried about Soleil. He obviously needed to put his daughter first, but what he said to Lumin was unnecessary. Lumin had every right to be mad at him.
I loved it when his brothers put him straight. His family were all great. Lumin and Alec were brilliant after they sorted things out, and their connection was on fire.
I enjoyed Soleil’s story in this book. What she went through was terrible, and what Lumin did in return was great.
The ending was brilliant. I loved seeing how everyone ended up and it was the perfect ending for everyone. They all deserved to be a happy family.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this series. The characters are great and the storyline is good. It’s an easy read.

Breaking Rules (The Scottish Billionaire book 2) by M. S. Parker
This is the second book in The Scottish Billionaire series.
Alec: Lumen is amazing. She brings out the playful, relaxed side of me, but fate doesn’t seem to agree we belong together. And now, my ex pops back into my life and wants to make a go of it again so our daughter can have a real family. I’m torn between what’s best for my daughter or following my feelings for Lumen.
Lumen: Just when our relationship was going great, Alec basically blows me off the minute his ex is back in town. He texted that he needs a break while he figures out what’s going on with his family. And to add fuel to the fire, someone told my principal about the massage parlor job I had before I started teaching, like it was something illegal. Who else knew about that job but Alec? I’m crushed. This is why I don’t do relationships.
Third-grade teacher Lumen Browne and multi-billionaire CEO Alec McCrae are an unlikely couple, but they’re willing to defy the odds. As they struggle to fit into each other’s lives, they must decide if they’re willing to fight for their love…or walk away.
I enjoyed reading this book. I like the characters, the story is good and the plot developed well.
I like Lumen. She’s a good character and I love her relationship with Evanne. She’s a sweet character. I also love how she’s helping the Foster kids. She’s just generally a nice person. I also love Alec. He needs to think about himself more though. When Keli turns up and hangs around, he’s just putting up with it for the sake of Evanne. He knows he likes Lumen and not her, yet puts up with Keli. I was happy at the end when he realised what he wanted.
The storyline is good. I liked how their relationship is developing, until Keli got in the way. I like that the books have both of their points of view. It good to see how they both think, and often get assume things wrong. I’m enjoying seeing the battle Alec is having with himself over Lumen.
Overall, this book was great and an easy read. I’m looking forward to the next one and I’d definitely recommend this series.

Off Limits (The Scottish Billionaire book 1) by M. S. Parker
This is the first book in The Scottish Billionaire series.
Alec: I’m in my thirties and life is…well not boring, but uneventful, despite being the CEO of the family company. And that’s just how I like it to be. Then, I meet Lumen, a woman who challenges everything in such an irresistible way.
Lumen: Growing up in foster care wasn’t the nightmare for me as it was for some, but life has never been easy. I focus on my goals and I’m never distracted by men or relationships. Until one rainy Seattle night when a gorgeous hunk walked into the spa where I work.
When Alec mistakes a young woman’s workplace for a “happy ending” massage parlor, things get more complicated than he prefers. Especially when their lives become entwined in ways never imagined.
Meet Lumen Browne and multi-billionaire CEO, Alec McCrae. They are an unlikely couple, and as they struggle to fit into each other’s lives, Alec and Lumen must decide if they’ll fight for love…or walk away.
I enjoyed reading this book. The storyline was great, the plot developed well and I liked the characters.
Lumen was a good character. She’s kind, but strong enough to know her own mind. Alec was also a great character. I loved seeing the fight he was having with himself over Lumen. I also loved his daughter and the relationship he has with her, and her relationship with Lumen.
The storyline developed well. Lumen and Alec are an unlikely couple, but they kept bumping into each other, and each time there was that spark. It only increased when it turns out that she’s his daughter’s teacher and they got on well.
Overall, this was an easy read, and the storyline and characters were great. I’m looking forward to seeing how it develops in the next book. I’d definitely recommend it.

This Is Love (The Light to my Darkness book 3) by Ivy Smoak
This is the third and final book in The Light to my Darkness series.
I fell in love with Penny as soon as she fell into my arms. I wasn’t a believer in fate, but she convinced me. And every day she convinced me just how special our relationship was. It was us against the world. And I foolishly thought our love was indestructible.
Now I know that love isn’t about light and darkness or whirlwinds of color. Love can’t be defined in such simple terms. When you lose it, all of that becomes clear.
I don’t know how much longer I can breathe in a world where I look into my wife’s eyes and only see a stranger. I’d do anything to get her back. But this is one thing I don’t know how to fix.
This is the end to our love story. I just hope to God it’s not the end of us.
This book was fantastic. I have absolutely loved reading this series. It hit the feels, the characters are fantastic and I loved how it ended.
I was so happy to see Penny remembering everything. I felt so sorry for James dealing with everything, and it was so nice to see her come back to him and support him once again.
James has been the best character. His absolutely fantastic. I loved the fact that there were characters from his point of view in this series. After reading The Hunted Series and then this series, I feel like I really know James and Penny.
It was really nice to see the other characters and get an idea of their happy endings at the end. They were as much of the story as Penny and James.
Literally, this book couldn’t have ended any better, and I actually feel kind of sad that it’s over. I’ve binged read these books, so Penny and James have completly taken over my mind. I love James. He’s just the best. They both deserved their happy ending.
My only tiny issue was when Penny was reading Scarlet her favourite book. We didn’t need to read that many pages of it, and to be honest, I skipped through most of that bit. I did enjoy the memories being retold as she remembered them though.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this series. I think The Hunted Series should be read first in order to completely understand how gut wrenching this series has been to read. It’ll also make the ending that much sweeter after everything they’ve both been through. This series was simply fantastic. It’s the love story everyone dreams of.
My rating: 5/5*
