Jedediah Berry is the author of two novels, The Naming Song (Tor Books, 2024) and The Manual of Detection (Penguin Press), and a story in cards, The Family Arcana. He lives in Western Massachusetts. Together with his partner, writer Emily Houk, he runs Ninepin Press, an independent publisher of fiction, poetry, and games in unusual shapes.

Jedediah answered a question about The Master of Mazes: Okay.... so, I haven't been able to recall the name of this book OR the characters for years, but have always wanted to remember - and buy it. I kept asking people about "......... it's called Fern something" and all of them (+ seach engines) said "Ah, you're thinking about Ferngully". No. No, I am NOT thinking about Ferngully. THIS is the book I want to own again but specifically with the green cover. Help??? If I remember correctly, the animal friend you’re trying to find in the labyrinth is named Redfern.
