IT IS DISTINCTLY POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS ABOUT TO GET OFFENDED…
Nether-Staining has a big problem. There is a surplus of housing, a common problem following a zombie apocalypse.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Hippo Man’s super-outfit has got too big – due to his having lost the ‘morbid’ tag from his obesity – and it has been officially destroyed. Retirement looms.
Strangers are moving into the village, and in Yorkshire, that means suspicion and distrust…and an odd desire to have a good stare.
But as the villagers begrudgingly begin to adjust to the newcomers, all is – as we’ve come to expect in this neck of the woods – not what it seems.
Strange things are happening to random folk and the village is about to face challenges never seen in history before; and near-constant rain, not dissimilar to that typically seen in Lancashire, is just the beginning. This time, Nether-Staining might have bitten off more than it can chew, but just maybe there is hope, because Blue Boy is still present and correct, and manfully straining against his Lycra.

Are You Ready to Commit Blasphemy?
Hello Readers!
I’ve been awfully quiet for a while now…largely because editing novels is absorbing, engrossing – and pretty frustrating – work. Did you think I had perished while visiting Nether-Staining? I wouldn’t be the first, and I may not be the last…
So it is good news that I am finally out of the other side of editing the content for “Blasphemy”…I feel confident that it will be available this side of Christmas (hooray!)
[image error][image error][image error]Which Will Be Your Favourite?
When it comes, I trust you will enjoy…and in the interim, check out “Baabaric“, “Stoned” and “Pickled” (in that order), so you know exactly what is going on…check out the links to Amazon NOW…all you need is a Kindle or Kindle app…or a mailbox that fits a paperback inside!
Take care for now, and stay safe!

Why Books (and Reviews) Matter…
I was overjoyed the other day when I looked on the Amazon website at the different books I have published to see if any more reviews had been posted of late…the one in question relates to the memoirs of my grandpa, Albert Edward Johns, entitled “Theatre of Life“…his story about growing up in depression-era Nottinghamshire, his time in the Merchant Navy in WWII and his time as a pantomime dame in amateur theatre.
I have no idea who this person is but they first knew Albert almost FIFTY years ago…and what a wonderful thing that this small memoir could have triggered so many memories for them. This is what books, and perhaps in particular non-fiction, can do.

It’s good for the soul to read a review like this, and makes the publication process even more worthwhile. Thank you to the Amazon UK reviewer for taking the time to do so, and I hope that if this reviewer should ever read this post, please get in touch because I would love to hear a little more about your own story and your time with Albert.
The internet is awash with people reviewing things (and certainly books on WordPress), so it is great to read a review that seems to really have made a difference to the reader.
