A new freemium story...
I'm posting a short story that has nothing to do with Rosella Tolfree's World, but was inspired by reading a document by my own faith.
Now, I'm not saying my faith is in error. But in reading the document (which I will not mention on purpose), a certain thought process can occur.
Like all things, interpretation tends to be in the mind of the reader. Regardless if this interpretation is right or wrong.

New Short Story - Dawn Mason’s Extreme Hatred Bias

It's a follow up to the Uzzia Banks posting dealing with the U.S.'s response to serious mental illness.
By this point in history, medical science had included the problems associated with extreme hatred bias some people suffer from.
As a warning, it's dark and has death in it. But Rosella's world is a dystopian future.

2020 U.S. Elections Prediction for 2021

Due to the high volumes of votes, the extreme division in the country and desire for each side to win, and despite the insignificant amount of real cases (only 1,298 proven cases), I predict in six to twelve months various jurisdictions will come out with cases of voter fraud.
Right now, about 43% of Democrats have some level of fraud concern about the mail in ballots; 92% of Republicans, and 63% of Independent voters.
So, depending on outcome and location, you may see being proclaimed from the mountain tops that the U.S. presidential election was stolen.
Even though the actual fraud committed wouldn't have mounted to a hill of beans in changing the outcome.
Case in point is what Coleman Hughes tweeted out about the claims of losing- "voter fraud on the right and voter suppression on the left."

How to Have More Than Two Parties in Control of the US

I just posted on RosellaTolfree.com the method of how her dystopian America managed to free itself from the two party control the U.S. historically has suffered under.
It comes down to simple math and these smaller parties making one big choice politically.

PH3 on Venus, Life on Venus, and Clickbaiting

Right now there's talk about life on Venus due to a recent discovery of PH3. Well when you look up the original paper on this discovery it clearly says, "This could be unknown photochemistry or geochemistry, or possibly life. Information is lacking—as an example, the photochemistry ofVenusian cloud droplets is almost completely unknown."
The study goes on to say, "Even if confirmed, we emphasize that the detection of PH3 is not robust evidence for life, only for anomalous and unexplained chemistry."
But once more, the mainstream media loves some clickbait. Don't we all in the internet business? Nothing says clickbait like life on another planet. It would be boring to say, "Scientists discover odd chemical signature on Venus." This would be more accurate, but as a headline wouldn't get that many clicks.
A while back I actually wrote about a future mission to Venus, and speculated on life there. I don't buy the life in the clouds model. It sounds cool, but I don't think it's practical for biological life with a one gravity world like Venus.
But who knows, maybe I'm wrong.
