Day 4,115: Weather
Under the weather today. Feeling better tonight, so hopefully I’m through it all. VERY mild, I have to say, but still enough to wipe me out. Slept most of the day. Did get up and watch Wrexham. They won! On a (literally) last-minute goal. After giving up a 90th minute equalizer that would have meant losing ground on both of the teams above us. Wild wild wild finish.
Read.
Slept.
Ate some food.
Walked the pups morning and evening.
Watched Billy Madison with Liz because we have a fr...

Day 4,114: Magical Thinking
Under the weather today. Blech. Not too bad, but enough to call off film schoolin’. A bummer since we haven’t seen each other for a couple weeks already. Went on my trip, then Josh was busy, now I’m sick. Hopefully it doesn’t last too long.
Still worked today. Didn’t write so I could take it easy, but I did have Netflix stuff to do, and I did it.
Sigh.
Tired. Hopefully this weekend helps. Not planning on doing anything except watching some sports and reading. And sleeping.
Speaking o...

Day 4,113: Press
I forgot my iPad in my office, blerg, so we’re typing with our thumbs kiddos! Gonna make it a short one because of it.
I didn’t really “have it” today…but I pushed forward anyway. Proud of myself for that. I got done what I needed to. Work-wise. Writing-wise I put in my time. The work there is good, just…slow. Dishearteningly slow. But I know that’s resistance. And the only way to beat it is to keep going, find the momentum I’m missing, and blow it away. Took a much-needed nap. Kept up on my ...

Day 4,112: Back Scritches
What do I complain about the most?
Being tired, I think? Or maybe writing being hard. Probably the first one, though.
I don’t like being tired. One of many reasons why not having kids is a goooood choice, lol. I do love my rest. I take a nap most days. If I wake up and I’m tired, I’ll probably not get up. Back to sleep with me! And I feel like I do a fair amount on these daily entries talking about being tired.
I dunno. That’s probably a question best answered by you. What do I complain...

Day 4,111: My Bud
A zero writing day. Sigh. Not a perfect week, but that’s okay. I’ve set myself up for a great day tomorrow! Which means getting my ass to sleep on time, so this will be brief.
Work was busy. Kinda unexpectedly so. But I handled it.
I caught up on the Shakespeare reading! I have no idea how, lol, but I did. Henry VI Part 3 is…dare I say…better than part 2? It’s…kinda good??? We’ll see. But there were some FIRE scenes today in act 2.
Wrexham lost. Probably our worst loss of the season in ...

Day 4,110: Reach Out
What books do I want to read?
ALL OF THEM. Growing up, it was star trek novels. Oh how I devoured those. Dozens of them. And going back a little earlier than that, it was the Hardy Boys.
Guys, I’ve been me since I was, like, nine or ten. I haven’t changed. I first read the Hardy Boys around then, and in the front of those books, the original blue ones from the 50s, they had the list of all the other books. They were numbered, even. And after reading that first one, maybe the second, I res...

Day 4,109: We Needed This
Write about my favorite family traditions.
The first, easiest thing that comes to mind is Christmas: we all get pajamas on christmas eve—they were usually clearance PJs from Ross—and watch a movie. And then on christmas morning, my parents would have wrapped all the presents BUT with numbers on them instead of names, and then we’d go around the entire family, each person picking one at a time, not knowing who’s present it was they’d just grabbed, and my parents would then check their list and...

Day 4,108: Aavy
What do I enjoy doing most in my leisure time?
I’d have to say…watching TV. Good LORD do I love watching TV. Always have. Always will. What I watch definitely depends. My absolute top favorite? Probably live sports. Loooooove watching live sports, followed quickly in second place by recorded sports that I don’t already know the outcome of. And then I love both narrative TV & Film, and documentary.
In fact, I did a decent amount of that today. I did a re-watch of the film that got me starte...

Day 4,107: Sparrow
One of my favorite things: Robyn’s “Dancing on my own.” Song slaps. Liz was watching music videos and an Ariana Grande one came up that was totally inspired by dancing on my own. It was also good.
It was a zero day writing-wise today. Sigh. I gave into resistance. Slept in, even though I don’t think I really needed to. And then work took over in the evening—worked really late today, like 8:30pm, sigh—but I don’t think I had it in me to sit down and do an evening session anyway. Tonight as I s...
