Day 4,155: Jaysus
It’s bed time already so imma make this quick.
Good day! Up on time and cranked out some scene outlines. Netflix work got did. Snuck in a nice nap. Helped Liz with a silly commercial audition. Caught up on my Shakespeare reading. Watched the Warriors beat down the Kings with Kuminga back in the lineup.
A good day.

Day 4,154: Nax
Am I superstitious?
I think I’m probably among the least superstitious people in any given setting and any given time. I keep it all pretty grounded and rational. I don’t think you can influence random chance, and really feel like anything beyond that is simply a routine, you know? And I’m a big routine guy.
But I do think there’s still a bit of me that’s superstitious. I wish I could come up with an example right now in the moment, but I can’t. Taking off in an airplane, maybe? Though I c...

Day 4,153: Give Me My Thumb Please
Joy is wild. Right now she’s underneath the extra comforter Liz likes on her side of the bed, gnawing on my hand and making very fierce growls. She’s very gentle with her toofs, which makes the fierceness of her growls all the more delightful.
It rained today. I did a little writing but not a lot. That shit changes tomorrow. I’m back in baby. Locked and loaded. Let’s gooooo. I’ve got some great ideas in these notes I wrote myself over the past several months I’ve been noodling on this story, ...

Day 4,152: Cookies
Cooper ate two chocolate cookies tonight, so I’m on tummy watch. Blerg.
Update: it’s the next day, and Cooper was fiiiiiine. Less than a half ounce consumed, which is well below concern levels. He did wake up early and need to go out and poop a couple times, but otherwise he’s fine. Whew.

Day 4,151: Daylight Saved
Where would I go on a shopping spree?
Good god so many places. I think my standard answer is an electronics store. I loooove me some gadgets, man. Audio. Visual. Computing. Just tech all around. Like, Fry’s used to be my favorite store. I miss that place, especially the one in Burbank. But a few others come to mind.
The Criterion closet. I’d buy everything they’ve ever released on Blu Ray.
A great wine shop. I know exactly the one, in fact: Woodland Hills Wine Company. I’d go crazy in t...

Day 4,150: Lando
What is my middle name, and what significance does it hold?
My middle name is Edward. I was named after my great grandfather. Never met him. My mom’s grandpa, and I think someone she was very close to. A rare positive male figure in her childhood, I think. I got his full name, so Edward was his middle name, I do believe. I wish I’d known him, known the man whose name I was given.

I took the BEST nap today. Door was open. The sun was out. Birds were singing. The breeze was breezin. I...
Day 4,149: Friendsy
Late night of podcasting. And a long workday, actually. Started at 7am and ran right through to going over to Josh’s. But a job well done I think. I hope.
Night night. Up in the morning for some Wrexham 🙂

Day 4,148: Brrrr
What is a question I hate to be asked? Explain.
“Are you free right now?” or any other of the many permutations of that question.
Why? Because it gives no context. What I am “free” for at any given time is a very limited list. Tell me why first. My immediate reaction to any type of ask for my time or attention that doesn’t include any specifics is to ask back “Why? What’s up?” rather than answer. Or, I guess there are two other option I use: “No, I’m not free” or I just don’t answer. Just ...

Day 4,147: Home Is For Winners
It’s late! Gonna make this a quick one and then starting tomorrow, get back on the train of answering those daily prompt questions, just to keep it fresh on here.
I was tired today. Partied too hard with Obama last night (see yesterday’s post). But also just still decompressing from our trip.
I’m back at it tomorrow. Up on time. Gonna get a few scenes done. Looking forward to it.
Alone is great. This season of the Australian one is wild. It’s so hard for them to find food. Probably too ...

Day 4,146: Obama Anajak
Probably my biggest “celebrity” sighting/encounter/whatever tonight. Our friends Stephan and Thida have wanted to go to Anajak Thai with us ever since we went there a few months ago with Liz’s dad and raved about it. Well, today they needed a place to hang while their house got fumigated, so it was the perfect opportunity.
Obama was eating there tonight. Same time as us. He was inside at the last table back towards the kitchen (and the bathroom, which is why I walked past him), we were sittin...
