Day 4,259: Big Yawn
I’ve written a lot of pages this week. Whew! Six more to go tomorrow, and it’ll be a perfect week. Happy with that. Do it three (four?) more times, and I’ll have the book written, which is pretty crazy. Almost halfway there. And the earliest time ever. Pretty wild.
I am wiped, though. And writing this many pages for such a sustained period isn’t my favorite thing to do. I like to take my time more. Not to say I’m not enjoying myself. I am. I always enjoy drafting, truly. It gets me out of bed...

Day 4,258: Backup Water Bottle
Joy going ham underneath the covers right now. Just. Going. Ham.
Got my shit done today! It was soooo touch and go at the end there, but I just sat in my chair until I finally felt like doing it. And it worked. Another twelve-page day tomorrow, and then I have a nice half day on Friday…and two full days off. It’s a good schedule. Tiring, for sure, but a good schedule. And I avoided the ‘pushing’ today, too. The groove was good. Floating.
That’s all I got tonight, babies. Tired. Satisfied. ...

Day 4,257: One Eight Four
A little zonked tonight. Whew. I got my pages done, but it was a blur at the end. Too fast, I think. The kind of writing session where my brain goes faster than I can actually think. A good thing in certain circumstances, but not always the best thing when I’m writing? I think? I don’t know, people talk about flow state…but this wasn’t quite that. This was pushing, you know? The pocket isn’t a push. It’s flow. It’s floating. Floating is not a push.
So…anyway, that kinda zonked me. Happy I got...

Day 4,256: Neutral
Boom! Great writing day. Right on schedule. Whew.
This book is fun. Genuinely. I cooked up some stuff that’s just plain fun to write, and usually that means it’s fun to read. Hopefully that will be the case again!
Work was…normal today, I’d say. By which I mean a bit of busy, and bit of chill in even measure. I got everything done. Wasn’t pressed for time or stressed. Just as I like it.
It is a complete day, though, doing the writing and doing the Netflix work. There’s not anything else...

Day 4,255: Dig
It wasn’t the writing day I thought it might be, but that turned out to be okay. I have my plan in place to get this book down. And I will stick with it. It’s a good plan. I also planned out all the other stuff I need to get done, which isn’t much count-wise, but is a bit much labor-wise. Not sure how I’ll get it all done…but I will.
The cooler weather is receding. Tomorrow is our last day of it, I think. It will be warmer and warmer from here on out, I wager. Which leaves behind my favorite ...

Day 4,254: Ramboard!
A day off. Like, legit off. Whew. It went by way too fast, but I got it. It’s what I very much needed. Tomorrow…back into the mines, baby. Got a book to finish. And you know what’s crazy? I don’t even have to go that hard with it. Truly. Ten pages a day during the work week. I can still take weekends off. It’s not my limit of what I can handle. Just need to buckle down and get ‘er done.
So. Yeah. That’s good.
Night night.

Day 4,253: Gonna Be
Miyazaki is a g. He just is. Hits. Nothing inept in his entire catalogue. There’s a baseline level of awesomeness in literally everything he’s ever done, and I just respect that so hard. So, yeah. It’s really, really fun watching him for the podcast.
Anyway…it’s late now. Wiped. Need sleep. Gooooob night.

Day 4,252: Ages
Sunny is with us. I think it might have been this same time last year when the Kings went out of town for a while, but Sun-sun is in the house, Joy is beside herself with excitement, and we are too. She’s a big dog compared to what we’re used to, but not that big. Like…2/3 of a German Shepherd. She’s a Norwegian Elk Hound. So soft. So loud. And very, very sweet. She’s great.
Had a little lickems session with Silky and Bruce out on the front stoop tonight! I squeeze the fish purée, they lick. ...

Day 4,251: Sunderland
Did you know that cats don’t really meow at each other? It’s not a social behavior they exhibit amongst each other, naturally, all that often if at all…with one exception: kittens meow to their mom. That’s basically it. So, when my kitties meow at me—I think they think I’m mom. Basically. Because I feed them. And give them pats, which kind of feel like licks.
I think that’s just wonderful.
What a long, looooong day y’all. Whew. But I got a massive project done. Which is a relief. And I thi...

Day 4,250: The Beat That My Heart Skipped
Does anyone remember Scroobius Pip? Was just thinking about him the other day.
It’s late, so I gotta run…but I got pages done today. Need to do it again tomorrow.
Night night!
