We’re enjoying it

Today was…today was a good day. Nay, a great day. Writing was looking a little iffy when I got up. Wasn’t feeling in the groove. Resistance was pushing back hard. But, then I just sat down and did it (yay routine!) and my day took off from there. I was very focused today. Got lots of shit done.

AND got to hang with Liz and the pups in the evening. Went and got grocery pick up. Walked pups. Watched Dark, as mentioned ...

Day 2,650: Sleeeep

Had another pretty low key day off. Didn’t do much except figure out the rest of the spending for the month, which was a win.

We have a budget! We’re going to keep it! Or…rather, we’re going to keep TRACK of it, anyway. Budgets are hard to stay within, for sure, and it’s less about the precision of staying perfectly within its limits, and more about consistently tracking spending and income. It’s the consistent check-in that makes all the difference. It makes the over-spending drop like a roc...

Day 2,649: To the future, Josh

I have some goals this year.

That feels really, really nice. I’m already accomplishing a couple of them…but this is going to be a good year. I can just feel it. I’m in the right headspace, and it’s been a while since I felt that. More bold. Less hesitant. Less unsure.

And listen…that happens. The uncertainty, and the self-doubt, and the dark times. They will come again for me, most certainly. Change is hard. Our psyches push back really, really hard against it. But…change is also inevitabl...

Day 2,648: Button Nose

Y’all…I am beat.

I am SO CLOSE to finishing this work project, in the very last stretch now…and things keep going wrong. It is TRYIN ME. But…I shall prevail. I still have enough time to get it all done…I just like not having to use my “overflow time,” you know? Finish early? Not this time, I’m afraid. It will be down to the wire.

But, I’m worn out. It was a long week. A *great* week, I did my shiz like a boss…but a long week.

Which, I suppose is to say: I am very much looking forward to...

Day 2,647: Wet

It’s raining outside, and the Coco is licking my arm as I write this. It’s a wet night!

I’m definitely getting close to finishing this work project because I am READY to be done with it. More computer snafus today. Or, rather, not with my computer, but with the stuff I’m working with. It all has to line up properly in order to work, and something is off with a couple of these titles and I cannot figure it out. Sigh. Gonna have to get support on it.

Day 2,646: Cookin

I’m cookin this week. I’m getting stuff done, and feeling very happy with myself about it.

I had stuff to go do early this morning, and I knew if I didn’t get my writing done BEFORE I went to go do that stuff, I wouldn’t do my writing. So…

…I got up early and did my writing. Even though I had a little trouble falling asleep last night (nothing too bad, but later than normal). And it was a good session, too.

And then I came home and got my work done. Helped bear with an audition. Watched...

Day 2,645: Blur

Man…I was having a nice smooth, pretty easy day right there until the end, when it suddenly got aggravating. Such is life when you’re at the whim of computer coding

I was able to figure it all out, but it definitely cost me some extra work hours. Blech. Things are working now, and I have some stuff to try and figure out in the AM…but I gone done today what needed to be done. A little more than I had planned, actually!

Day 2,644: Yup

Done got er done today.

It’s late, so I gotta make this one quick, but let’s see…

Today I almost finished a scene I’ve been working on for a while. Should finish it tomorrow. I took care of building stuff. I took care of the pups in the AM. I got all the work done I wanted to. I watched the Warriors dismantle the Wolves (Curry had 15 points in 3 minutes to ice it) and I did my workouts.

It was a good day. Now, time for sleeps.

Day 2,643: Git Er Done

Good weekend. I recharged. I’m feeling raring to go, once again. Have a lot of stuff I need to finish. So much stuff. I think instead of writing a longer entry tonight, I’m going to spend the next 20 minutes or so organizing my week.

But…it was a good day. Spent time with Bear working on the “project” today. And it was cold, but sunny which is some of the best LA weather. It’s going to rain again tonight, and then for much of the coming week as well, at least according to the forecasts.

Day 2,642: Cozy Day

It was a cozy day today.

We didn’t do much. It was wet and rainy outside. Cold, too. This was a coooold little rain storm that we got. So, we stayed inside. Watched the rest of Lupin together. Hung with the pups. I did some financial accounting-type work and I think I’ve got us squared away I hope to track our spending over the next twelve months. Make sure we’re staying within our means and not losing savings. That’s huge. Took me quite a bit longer than I’d hoped…but we DID IT. Had a nice l...
