Day 3,320: Slaughtered

The book Liz is reading/listening to right now is INTENSE. She’s listening to it while she washes up for the evening. It’s about…a post-apocalyptic world where animal meat is deadly, and the world has turned to eating humans for meat. She says its really good. I think I want to read it.

Now Coco is barking because the lights are still on. She’d like to go to bed, thank you very much. Seriously. She barks at just about everything these days. Le sigh.

Day 3,320: It’s Wierd

Got to see Liz’s show again tonight, this time with her dad! They crushed it tonight. Their best show of this run, without a doubt. Audience was packed and engaged. Sound was great. Performances matched. It was a good show.

Coco is passed OUT next to me. I’m surprised at how sedated she is, actually. She’s sleeping HARD. Has been since the afternoon, actually. She was hungry today, though. Ate all her food. Two poops. She was so out of it tonight, it makes me worry a little bit…but she was so...

Day 3,319: Arf Lyfe

Podcasted tonight! We continued our David Lynch deep dive and watched The Elephant Man, which was very competently done! Definitely not Lynch’s most advanced or even “Lynch-ian” work, but it was absolutely beautifully shot, the performances he captured and directed were genuinely fantastic, the script was tight, and it had a very clear (if rather predictable) story. His best work? Certainly not. It was too restrained given what we know Lynch became…but it was very competent.

Day 3,318: Arf Lyfe

Podcasted tonight! We continued our David Lynch deep dive and watched The Elephant Man, which was very competently done! Definitely not Lynch’s most advanced or even “Lynch-ian” work, but it was absolutely beautifully shot, the performances he captured and directed were genuinely fantastic, the script was tight, and it had a very clear (if rather predictable) story. Day 3,317: Bless You

A very solid work day today. Whew. I got my Netflix stuff done earlier than expected, which is a nice turnaround. I’ve been running behind the eight-ball on that lately, which means working extra hours just to catch up.

It’s really Coco. She’s fine, don’t get me wrong. She’s doing great, in fact. But, I’m not going to be whole again until she is. I won’t be healthy until she is, at least mentally. I think about her in the background all the time. It’s hard for me to concentrate. Most of the t...

Day 3,316: Bless You

Day 3,316: Better…

I had a pretty productive day today. I did not get everything done I wanted to, but I came pretty damn close. I can finish up what I missed tomorrow, and I’m in good shape for the rest of the week. Whew!

Coco continues to recover. She’s feeling so much better. She’s getting better at walking. She’s hungry, even without the steroid she was taking early on for inflammation. She’s getting able to kind of have a normal routine for the day. And when she barks, we kinda just leave her on her own, a...
