Great article. In cases like this, I don’t think the shooter’s motives matter — even when that’s almost all the mainstream media want to talk about. The motives are simple, like you point out: fame, desperation, misanthropy, a desire to hurt others.

I’m really just joking in this post. These days, a lot of people just look each other up on Facebook or LinkedIn, etc, and connect that way. It works well if you have a smartphone. I imagine some people still use business cards, which is fine.
