Hello August!
It's Saturday as I write this, and my day is beautiful!
It was a particularly trying work-week, and I'm thankful I have my wonderful, supportive, loving, and fun-times hubby to come home to!
After our usual morning routine, he spends his time in his shop while I hunker down at the computer to work on promotion and writing.
I completed first-round edits for Shifter Clans Book 3, Book 4 is complete; next up are release dates and cover art. And I already have ideas for more set in the future involving a few younger characters from the series. An author's mind never stops. ;)
My Cocky Hero Club World story is coming along, slowly but surely, and I'm hoping to make lots of progress in the coming days... before work rolls around again.

Monthly check-in!

Nearly another month has gone by since my last post, and life is still cruising along. If I had more exciting updates, I'd certainly pass them on; but I realize these days we're inundated with more than we may like at times. Therefore, I make my posts count...
I've been sending newsletters about twice a month (more when there's something great to share). ;) If you missed my latest, I posted a sneak-peek at part of my Cocky Hero Club world story, which is moving right along. More new releases have come out in that world, so check them out for fun and sexy reads.
I'm excited to announce I have my approved cover for my book, and it's beautiful! It certainly provides motivation to get my story out to you! Many thanks to my graphic artist, Lynn Spangler for her amazing work! Soon I'll be able to share it with the world.

Edits are completed on Shifter Clans Book 4 (a novella), and soon I'll get edits for book three. Yes, a little out of order, but I promise the books will release in order. I'm anxious to see cover art for them and will share release dates when I get them.
As for my own reading, I'm limiting that to when I'm working out (because I have so much writing of my own to do!) ;) I recently finished "The Worst Best Man" in audio by Mia Sosa, and oh, boy, so good!! I'm also working my way through an anthology that benefits Thistle Farms, an organization that produces body products, (I love the lotions) and employs women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction.
And I just downloaded a seasoned romance by Natasha Moore, whose books I adore!

Hey, peeps! Been a while...
Nearly a month since I last posted? The days sure have a way of rolling on by. In that time, I've been working on my story for the Cocky Hero Club World while returning to my day job at the dental office. I'm so excited for this project and am loving my story. There have been lots of new releases in that world, so be sure to check them out if you love brash men and bold women, all who exude sexiness.

Summer has begun for us and the Pacific Northwest has been oh, so, pleasant. Whether we'll be able to do more than take walks and enjoy the days remains to be seen. We'd love to travel, but with the country's situation as it is, we're doubtful that will happen.
But, on to brighter news...

Happy Tuesday!
Hey readers!
Memorial Day typically ushers in the start of summer... and ready or not, summer is coming. I think our biggest hope is to simply enjoy as the world begins to return to some semblance of 'normal'. At least it's MY hope.
Until then, I'll continue to find joy where I can, which includes my family and my writing.

I'd like to say it's another beautifully sunny day, but the rain has returned. I'd also like to say we're making the most of National Barbecue Day by striking up the grill, but since it's raining...and we don't currently have a grill... ;)

Happy Friday!
We're a week into May and our weather in the Pacific Northwest is taking a beautiful turn. Sunny, warm, minimal humidity - perfect!
I'm heading out soon to meet up with my son and his family; I'm so excited to see them, especially my grandson. My son is a fantastic photographer and he's taking new author pix of me for promotional purposes. Will look forward to the finished results. I'm usually not a fan of pictures of myself, but they're necessary, and I know he's going to make me look good. ;)

Catching up
Hey readers! Hope everyone's doing well and finding great books to read. I certainly have! If you've seen my updates/recommendations, you'll see romantic comedies, shifters, and some seriously sexy reading.
I cannot say enough how much I LOVED Shortcake by Lucy Watson! For me, it was the perfect romcom, with snark, wit, emotion, movie references, and, you guessed it, hot romance! If you yearn for all that, don't miss her book.

And the new series by Anna Durand, Au Naturel, started off with a scorching read in the first book, Natural Passion... well, I actually listened to it on audio, and boy oh boy, I'm glad I was alone while listening! ;)

On the writing front, I have FINALLY finished Shifter Clans book 3 and it's been submitted to my publisher, Evernight Publishing. A few other stories were calling, as I have two other series I want to expand on: my Cover Models and New Adventures.

But then I saw a posting for submissions to a well-known publisher, with a deadline of May 15th! So naturally I'm taking a detour to write a 3K-5K word HEA romance to see if my story is selected. I'll keep you updated on that status.

Hello, April!
Just in case you're keeping track, it's April!
The days are blending into one another, and honestly I have to really think about what day of the week it is.
I've been staying off social media for the most part these past several days, just trying to clear my mind of all that's happening in the world. Not that I take it lightly - I do not.
Social distancing hasn't allowed me and hubby to visit our son and family as we'd like, so we settle for pictures and videos. And with no gatherings allowed, there's no meeting friends for coffee or lunch, or even a trip to the bookstore.
My routine has consisted of just that - sticking to a routine so I can stay sane. I get in a workout at home, I do laundry or staining (we're slowing restaining our trim and banisters in the house), I go through my emails, and I get my writing completed. I've also had time to catch up on reading and sleeping. ;)
I've had a few trips into town to check on my mom and get groceries, and while I absolutely do not mind being home to concentrate on my writing, I hate the circumstances.
I know this won't last forever, so until life begins to return to somewhat normal, I'll adapt.
I hope you're all finding your routine, being safe, and staying healthy.
