Don't Forget

I want to thank those of you who take the time to write a review on my books. I know that, with our busy schedules and full days, it's often difficult to find a few minutes to spare. And don't forget--let me know if you'd like a bookmark to complement the cover of any of my books you read, or have read. I will be more than happy to send it to you--even if you have the ebook version. Just drop me an email at:

mirikal1210@gmail.com

Take care--and thanks again.

Giveaway

My mother's family came to America from Russia in the early 1900s to find a better life. My grandparents met in Wisconsin and were married in 1915, raising their five children in Racine. (I was also born in Racine). Their story is not that different from other families who came for a better life. So, what started out as a tribute to my mother's family evolved into a tribute to those who came during that era. "My Name is Rebecca: A Novelette" takes the reader on the journey in steerage to the process of going through Ellis Island. In the Lower East Side of New York, the voices of immigrants come to life. And then the midwest is displayed as the family moves there. This is a story of family, culture, and love passed down to future generations. I have included some true stories that I heard while growing up and also experienced myself.

Win one of 30 signed paperback copies of the book in the giveaway that is going on now. With it will be included a bookmark that complements the cover. And, by the way, the little girl on the cover is my mother when she was four years old in 1931.

Giveaway

I can't believe it's June already--soon it will be Thanksgiving again.
If you haven't entered my new giveaway, hurry and do so. Look at how fast the time is passing and you don't want to miss out on a chance to win one of 30 copies of the paperback "My Name is Rebecca: A Novelette."
It's a heart warming story of a family who came to America in the early 1900s for a better life. Rebecca is a story that we can all relate to--regardless of who we are or where our families originated from.
So--don't let the time pass by and lose a chance of winning a copy.

New Giveaway

My new giveaway started today. "My Name is Rebecca: A Novelette" is a special story. Historical fiction, it is written as a tribute to all of those who came to America in the early 1900s for a better life. Follow the Geshler family on their voyage from Russia (in steerage), through the process of Ellis Island, living in the Lower East Side in New York, and finally, settling in Wisconsin.

For those whose families came during that era, you will get a vivid picture of Ellis Island and the Lower East Side. It doesn't matter where they came from or who they were, our families went through the same process for the same reason--a better life.

Win one of 30 signed copies and a book mark that complements the cover. As a side note, the cover on the book is of my mother, taken in 1931 when she was 4 years old.

Good luck.
