Birthday Gift

My dad would have been 94 tomorrow. "When I wrote, "My Name is Rebecca: A Novelette," it started as a tribute to my mother's family who came to America in the early 1900s. But then, as I worked on the story, I realized it is a tribute to all who have come to America. Although it is historical fiction, there are some true stories that I heard while growing up. An important part of the story is my father--just as he was an important part of my life and continues to be on a daily basis. I thought it would be nice to share the story with others, so the kindle version is free today and tomorrow--9/29 and 9/30. I hope you will get a copy--and share your thoughts of it with me.

As a semi-retired clinical social worker, I write my books with two goals in mind--the first, to provide hope and inspiration to my readers; and the second, to provide a good story.

We all go through various things in life--love, loss, grief, disappointment. And there are issues in today's society that have an impact on all of us at some point, either directly or indirectly. They may include substance abuse, family problems, mental health issues, or a variety of others. My hope is to provide inspiration through my writing that will help readers resolve their problems--knowing that they are not alone.
