COMING SOON: SPELLBOUND: THE AWAKENING

I am in the process of writing a few books, one of which is one that is about witches and dragon shifters. It is called Spellbound: The Awakening. It will focus on the first year of an eighteen year old who just received her witch powers on her eighteenth birthday.
 
In the beginning she has a dream which is really a vision of her future. In it, she learns she will become a powerful Witch Queen who will marry a powerful Warlock King. She is also carrying their child who will someday become the most powerful Witch Queen.
 
But all of that is about to change as dark powerful Witch Queen who happens to be her great grandaunt comes to them both with a deadly message. Morgana foretells the demise of their unborn daughter on her sixteenth birthday.
 
Here is an excerpt from the Prologue:
 
PROLOGUE:  JASMINE
 
It was midnight and officially my eighteenth birthday. Excitement running through me like an electrical current.  Unable to drift off to slumber land, I lie awake. Gazing at the tiny glowing stars on my ceiling that closely resembled the starry night sky on the outside. I had a very good feeling about my birthday. It was indeed a very special birthday for true.
 
Not only am I officially and legally an adult who was about to go off to college within a few months.  But something that you all may not know about me which may be hard to believe for some. My family is not like any other family. The women in my family are witches and I come from a long line of powerful witches.  My family line was born of the Moon Goddess. What is the Moon Goddess? Well, she is the mother of all witches in my family. Or to be more exact, the very first witch within my family. 
 
We are immortal and our family goes back thousands of years to ancient times. On our eighteenth birthday, we inherit our powers.  It is called “The Awakening”, where we claim our full powers during a special ritual. Usually during a full moon.  During “The Awakening” we metamorphosis into our family’s animal shifter form. Yes, witches are also shifters and usually is one animal shifter per family. Our family are Dragon Shifters.  Once we are in our animal shifter form, the ritual will begin.  The metamorphosing into your animal shifter form for the first time truly signifies that you are ready for your powers.
 
Once the ritual begins, the elder witch in your family will bestow on you your rightful powers.  Not only will you inherit your own rightful powers but the elder will also pass down to you her own powers. The transference of powers from elder to new witch usually means the elder is ready pass on to a better world.  A world where she would no longer be needing her powers.  The elder powers will make the new witch far more powerful. As our powers gain more strength over time as we gain more experience, knowledge, and wisdom. This is our true essence of our powers. 
 
Tonight, I will be receiving all my powers along with my great grandmother’s own powers. She was 1000 years old and her time has come where she must pass on her powers to a new witch.  She was the oldest witch in our family.  The most powerful witch and she is also one of the very first witches. Her mother is the Moon Goddess. Females are a rarity in my family as it is with most witch families. Females are not often born but those who are born are chosen. Chosen by the Moon Goddess herself to be conceived and born. 
 
To be chosen by the Moon Goddess means you are very special and very sacred.  Luckily for me, there are a few other women in my family. Who I can look up to when learning to use and control my witch powers. To learn more about our witch heritage and our witch ancestors. 
 
An hour later, I finally managed to drift off to sleep, when I had an unusual dream. A dream that felt more like a vision more than an ordinary dream. I was running through a field bare feet in a flowing white dress.  I was smiling so brightly, so happy.  Reaching my destination, I flung myself into the arms of a very handsome young man. He was a warlock or a male witch for those of you who do not know what warlock means.  Warlocks, like witches were also a rarity.  But they were even more rare. A man who I have never seen before but who seem very happy to see me. He was in khaki shorts and a polo shirt exposing his very muscular physique.  Golden brown hair that shimmer like diamonds in the warm sunlight.
 
Tanned olive skin.  Swinging me around in his arms as he held me tightly. He lowered his head to softly kiss me as he gazed deeply into my eyes. His sparkling blue eyes showed such true genuine happiness.
 
Putting me down gently, he gently rubbed my stomach which was swollen. I could not believe what I was seeing, I was pregnant. And judging from what I was seeing, he was the father of my unborn child.  We were filled with pure blissful happiness. 
 
“Such a rare beautiful gem you are.” He whispered into my ears as he kissed me just below my ears in that most sensitive spot. 
 
“Our little girl will be the next powerful witch Queen who will rule our kingdom with pure love and compassion”
 
“I love you so much and am so happy to have you as my queen”
 
Looking into his eyes with such warmth I said, “I love you more my sweet King”
 
Kissing him softly back I said, “Our daughter’s reign will be the most powerful as she will be unlike any other queens who ruled before her.”
 
Just as those words left my lips…
 
Suddenly out of nowhere, the sky darkened with low rumbles of thunder.  Lighting flashing in the distance. What looked like a storm was coming our way really wasn’t what it seemed to be.  A loud roar in the distance caught our attention. It did not sound natural and it was drawing closer. He drew me closer to him holding me tightly. Out of nowhere a huge black dragon appeared in front of us and within seconds it changed into a woman.  She was very tall with black hair with a streak of fiery red hair that blended in with black hair. Her eyes were silver gray. She wore skin tight black leather pants with a very low cut black leather shirt.  The sleeves on her shirt seem to have flare out at the ends. 
 
And she was no ordinary woman. She was a dark witch who was very powerful. Her name was Morgana. And to make it even more worst, she was my great grandaunt.  Hey, every family got their bad seed. Ours was Morgana.
 
“Your unborn child will not live to see her eighteenth birthday. She won’t even make it to her sixteenth birthday. As I will make damn sure that I will be the only powerful Witch Queen ever alive. How dare you disrespect me by saying she will be the most powerful Witch Queen ever? This is my punishment to you….”
 
Morgana was furious and as she circled us, roars of thunder were exploding everywhere.
 
“Death will come to her on her sixteenth birthday when the clock strikes twelve!”
 
And just as she said this dark omen, she metamorphosis into her enormous black dragon form and took off into the sky. Taking with her the dark clouds, deadly lightening, and roars of thunder.
 
Next thing I know I was awake and it was a beautiful sunny morning.  This dream left me deeply disturbed. I felt it was a vision of some kind. I needed to consult with my mother about this dream.
 
To see what it means. If this was indeed a true vision of what is to come. I needed to prepare for it.

An In Depth Look At The Vampire History In Nocturnia

On Friday, I posted a blog post about the history of the vampires in "Nocturnia". It was really the history of the royal vampire family but in this post you will learn more about the vampires history in "Nocturnia" and how vampirism really begun in the book.
 
Here is an excerpt from chapter 3 of "Nocturnia: Her Dark Angel of the Night"
 
" Looking at me his eyes was now filled with sadness. "We were once archangels. God's right hand army in heaven with Lucifer as our leader. If you know the story from the bible, you know how that went. Not so good for those of us who chose to follow Lucifer and his foolish believes that landed us out of heaven and here on earth in our own personal hell where he ruled. But not all of us felt the same as him and revolted against him. This is something you would not hear of or find in the bible. As this is one of those stories that no mortal would be aware of. The battle still goes on to this day. A war unseen by the mortal world. A war that rages on between both good and evil amongst the mortal. Which is why we are coexisting with the mortal world to make sure no harm come to any mortal."
 
Looking down at the floor he continued his story of the great war between fallen angels amongst the mortals. "There was a great battle between us fallen angels. Those who were like me who had humanity's and mankind’s best interests at heart. And those who were very much like Lucifer who viewed mortals as a game of chest. Lucifer was an entirely different kind of fallen angel, the true embodiment of true evil. Who wanted to see whose souls he can win over via temptations and sin. He too viewed mortals as game and entertainment. Much more worse than those vampires who only viewed mortals as a food source and slaves. The battle went on for so long till one day when it was at its worst and was about to effect mankind. We decided that we had to end it someway and somehow. Form some kind of peace treaty. Where none of us would interfere or make ourselves known to any mortal. For if we did, it would be death for us. It is forbidden for mortals to know of us and for us to interfere with a mortal life. Unless we had a true genuine good reason to do so. Humans were not meant to be slaves to vampires. How that happened is beyond me." "

BEHIND THE STORY: The Vampire History of Nocturnia

Here is a little look into the new revised version of Nocturnia: Her Dark Angel of the Night
 
An in depth look at the history of the vampires in Nocturnia and how they came to be. Also included is a more in depth look at how Cross came to be Scerina's guardian angel and how their relationship first started. 
 
This is an excerpt from the revised version:
 
I was recently assigned to watch over and protect this beautiful mortal woman. It was foretold that she is destined to be my true love.  My sister Fairuza who is a powerful witch had a vision that showed her that in the near future this young mortal woman would need me. Why? I have no idea as my sister’s visions come and go. With no true clarity to them but as time draws near her visions always become clearer.  My sister also informed me that my twin brother and I will fall for the same mortal woman who in the end will choose me over him of her own free will.  My twin brother had no respect what so ever for humans even though he was once a human himself. But once he became a vampire, his whole view of humanity changed and only viewed them as either a food source or slaves. 

I on the other hand struggled with my vampirism and my life as a vampire. I always held an utmost respect to the humans in our vampire kingdom and treated them with such great care and respect. My father, the vampire king, was the same way since he still had his humanity.  Ever since the Queen, who happens to be our mother, seduced him one fateful night over a thousand years ago.  She only seduced him to get his vampiric blood which she needed.  What my father never knew at that time was my mother was a very powerful immortal witch She needed his blood so that not only could she be even more powerful as a witch but also become a very powerful vampire. Even more powerful than my own father who one of the first vampires. 
 
My mother was not to be trusted though as she was a very evil powerful witch who had plans to ruin my father and his vampire kingdom. But she failed in her mission to destroy my father and his kingdom as my father soon caught on to her evil plans. He tried to destroy her but she was far too powerful for him.  Instead he banished her from the kingdom. She fled to another larger kingdom where she would conquer and take over as her own kingdom. She had plan to make any kingdom which she conquers her own vampire kingdom where she would rule as a powerful Vampire Queen. 
 
I will be posting excerpts from time to time as I work on the revisions and extended version of Nocturnia: Her Dark Angel of the Night that is due to be released on June 6th, 2017

I am currently in the process of editing and revising Nocturnia: Her Dark Angel Of The Night. Once that is completed, I will be re-releasing a REVISED/EXTENDED EDITION of Nocturnia: Her Dark Angel Of The Night.
 
It will contain extended storylines of certain characters as well as the history of the vampires and the royal vampire family. Kain & Scerina relationship will also be rewritten.  Possibly additional chapters to the book as well.
 
The REVISED/EXTENDED EDITION of Nocturnia: Her Dark Angel Of The Night will be released on Tuesday - June 6th, 2017 on AMAZON & Lulu as well as on my official site online book store.
