These past couple of days I have been very busy working on my next project Eternally Yours: Bloodlines that is due to be released on the 1st of September.  I have also managed to create the cover for the book as well which I have posted.

Here is a little treat for you all, two excerpts. From Chapter Seven: Galaen -

 Later that night, I was visited by a gorgeous woman.  I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming or if it was real life.  Her soft milky white skin glowed in the moonlight with the wind softly blowing in her dark blonde hair. It creeped the fuck out of me yet she was my blood relative.  I could see why my grandmother Lily had said I would find the answers which I always seeked and discover who I truly was within this dark family secret.  It was beginning to make a lot of sense now, as crazy as fuck as this whole situation was. It was all starting to fall into place right in front of my eyes. 

Charlamaine now transitioned stood up and stepped out of the coffin slowly with the assistance of William.  In a very soft voice, she said “Hello my child.  Do not fret or worry, you are in no danger here. You are now with your own for I am your biological mother.”

Oh, my sweet Jesus! This was just WAAAAYYYY TOO FUCKING MUCH!!! Hearing this news, it took everything in me not to pass out.  All I could do was look up at her and gasp.  She was right about a couple of things, I was indeed where I truly belong and I had finally found my real home.  But dear God – this woman who was once a corpse only moments ago was my biological mother?! SERIOUSLY?! 

Galaen spoke up this time, “Is this some kind of sick joke? Do you guys go around doing this fucking bullshit to unsuspecting victims to rile them up and fuck their lives up?” He asked angrily.  It was clear he was pissed as fuck off and wanted nothing more than to protect me.

The Re-Release Of Spellbound: The Awakening

After a most recent review of Spellbound: The Awakening - another 1 STAR RATING review, I decided to pull it from my online bookstore, Amazon, & Lulu to rewrite parts of it.  I will be removing unnecessary characters who have no real part of the storyline itself and giving them their own stories in the near future.

The blurb for this book seemed pretty good. Liked that it was an original concept.

However

I didn't like the way the book was set out, each chapter in this book is from a different charachter's point of view. Now I understand from the author ( who I had a lot of dialogue with and explained about my feeing for the book...despite this I was asked to continue my review ) that this was to aid in setting up further books in this series. That's all very well and good but it didn't lead to a good understanding or feel for the charachters in this book. I'm not sure if I was reading young adult or erotica ( wow that was FAST!) because they seemed very very young and yes not blood related but still cousins!!! and none of them were very likable.

There was a lot of repetitiveness in the chapters and in what the charachter was 'saying'

E.g.) heaths transition was painful. It was a very long and painful transition

And equal repatativeness in the information being given by each charachter.

And at times there was so much 'explaining' that it can across like a training manual and left me wondering where the story was. Which is a real shame.

This book could be great but I feel that it needs to be edited and sections rewritten/proof read for this to happen.

I will also be adding more steamy erotic scenes to it as well to make things all the more juicier.  I have read in both reviews that Spellbound: The Awakening was more of a Children or Young Adult genre more than Erotica.  I won't lie when I originally started this book, my original vision was to do a Young Adult book but had a change of heart along the way and added some steamy bits. 

And yes, the three main characters are distant cousins who are of no blood relations.  They are only family or cousins via the marriage of their parents.  

I was going to rewrite the entire book but my time is very limited at the current moment with other projects and I won't have the proper time to do a decent story with my limited time.  I will tell you this much for the next book, it will focus on their evil aunt of the story and tells her story in more detail.  The first book will focus on the three cousins and their relationships with each other as they try and solve the murder of their parents.  There will be one or two supporting characters but the story itself will be focus on the three cousins.  

There will also be a new book cover coming soon as well.  I will also adding additional chapters to this book to make it a full length novel.  

I plan to re-release Spellbound: The Awakening on the same day as the release of my next book Eternally Yours: Bloodlines - Friday - September 1st, 2017

It was a robbery gone horribly wrong. It all started out so perfect, I honestly thought we were about to get away with it. A simple bank robbery – that was the plan. I was in the vault snatching up every bundle of cash and every piece of valuable I could get my dirty hands on, while my crew continued to get what they could get from the tellers. We had no mercy, not even for the customers who were cowering on the floor, doing whatever it took to stay alive; not make matters worse.

But what happened next was something I did not see coming, never in my wildest dreams would I have ever expected this to happen to me. Something that caught me so off guard, I nearly shit myself when I saw it with my own eyes. I was in the vault, cleaning it out, when suddenly I heard this very low snarling coming from just outside. A sound that was so loud, I almost thought it was a low roll of thunder from outside but the sound kept coming closer and closer, almost as if it was in the vault, right next to me. I suddenly realize that the sound was coming from within the bank itself. Paralyzed with anxiety, fear soon began to creep its way up my body, but I shook it off. I could not go out like this. I had to do something if I was to survive.

There was a sickening rancid odor in the air that had reminded me of sour dog breath, only ten times worse. Quickly, I ran up to the heavy steel wall of the vault and quietly crept along towards the entrance, to investigate what was going on just outside. As I drew near, an enormous paw appeared on the threshold with razor sharp claws. I looked for some kind of sharp object to use as a weapon to protect myself, I had to be quick about it. Lying on the floor in front of me, was six feet of silver cable wire. It wasn’t much - nor did I think it would do much harm to this creature - but there was a strong chance I could maybe strangle it. I had the muscle power to do so. It was a big risk, but it was worth the try. Now was not the time to let reality get the best of me, this was a time for survival of the fittest. No matter how massive in size this creature was, I wasn’t about to go out like that: killed by a monster.

Sliding closer to the entrance as the creature entered the room, I was waiting for my chance to catch it by surprise and hopefully gain control of the situation, so that I could strangle it.

Once it was fully in the room with its back to me, I took my chance and jumped on its back. This creature, which closely resembled a wolf but more monstrous, seemed like it had come from a horror movie. But now was not the time to make such observations – it was either kill or be killed. Taking the silver cable wire, I quickly wrapped it around the wolf’s neck as it tried its best to get me off its back. A hot sizzling hissing sound came from the silver cable as it hit this creature’s skin, and the wolf seemed to weaken underneath me as I struggle to strangle it. The more it fought me, the tighter I pulled the silver cable around its neck. Its claws had caught my leg during the struggle, sharp pain shooting out from the deep gash it had created. My femur was now exposed.

The monster was getting weaker and weaker by the moment, within a few moments it was now on the ground, struggling to breathe. Flinching and wiggling, life left his body slowly. The deep glow that was in its eye faded away with the life that was draining from its body with its last breaths. I slowly backed away watching in horror, the sharp pain that shot out from my wound now beyond bearable. In the distance I heard sirens, realizing I was in the middle of a robbery that had gone so horribly wrong. I struggled to collect the cash and valuables that I managed to snatch, while watching this lifeless beastlike creature. Before leaving the vault, I made a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and hobbled along the wall to the back entrance of the building.

Looking back at it now, I really should have stayed to make sure this creature was dead instead of just making an escape. Even with the cops close by. It was a near- fatal mistake that would soon come back to haunt me in the near future.

“My Dearest Granddaughter Chantelle,

If you are reading this letter then this must mean I have passed on to greener pastures.  I have instructed my lawyer, Edgar, to not only tell you of your inheritance but also to tell you about us, your biological family.  I know growing up in a foster home has not been easy for you and yes I could of many times claim you but due to certain circumstances that you will soon learn about, it was not as easy as that.  Nor as simple.   You see our family has a deep dark secret that in order for you to truly understand and see where am coming from here you must return to our family home in Porte Bonaire, Louisiana.  There you will find the answers which you seek to the questions you have always had all your life about where you came from.

I also must tell you, upon your return to our family home in Porte Bonaire, deep within the cellar of our family home lies our dark family secret.  Once you see it, you will fully understand why I never came for you all those years ago and now that you are old enough it is your turn to take on the burden of this dark family secret.  I must also warn you if you do not take this burden on – it may come back to haunt you as to leave it as it is could mean the end of you and our bloodline as you are the last of the LaBaus. 

In the package that Edgar has left with you, you will find all the keys that you will need to enter our family home and any other key which you need to access any part of the family home including the hidden room located in the deeper level of the cellar where our dark family secret is located.

If you are an author who is interested in participating in HallowErotica 2017, you may do so by contacting me via email with the following information:

Below you will find the Official Rules & Guidelines for all HallowErotica 2017 submissions:
 
1. All short stories must be within the following genres: Paranormal, Horror, & Erotica which you can do a mixture of genres. It does not have to be in one genre alone, you can mix them up a bit to make your short story interesting.
 
2. Edit & Revise your own short stories. Once I receive your short story submission, I will be submitting it as is to be published so make sure your short stories are in good shape and ready for publishing when you submit it/them.
 
3. You can submit up to 7 short stories cause the book itself will be 100+ pages.
 
4 Be sure to include your copyright, book dedication, about author, acknowledgements, author site and contact info as well as other author links (i.e. Goodreads, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon Author Page, etc).

EXCERPT FROM CHAPTER ONE: DARIUS:
"“Who was she?” I wondered to myself as I closed my eyes, breathing in her soft scent that was now in the air. It was not a strong scent but it was there, enough for me to catch a whiff of it. Intoxicated by it, I yearned for her. To feel her soft lips on my own as I touched her delicate flesh. To hear her soft whisper in my ear as I hold her in my arms, as I kiss her deeply. Closing my eyes again, I imagine her with me now, feeling the heat of her body as I gaze into her gorgeous eyes.

A blood-curdling scream suddenly shook me back to reality. It was coming from upstairs, where my parents’ room was. Quickly, I turned around and sprinted up the stairs towards the scream. When I had reached the source of the scream, my eyes widened in disbelief and horror. What met my eyes, was a bloody scene. What was once a white pristine bedroom suite, was now covered in blood. In the bed, lay the two bodies: both my mother and father. They were slaughtered in their sleep. Their maid who was now bawling, ran into my arms as I held her tightly. The other maid who had been screaming, fainted from shock. My brother Heath was next to show up, and he let out a soft gasp at the situation.

The gorgeous beauty in the garden earlier soon showed up with white roses in her hands. But once she saw the bloody bedroom, she let them fall to the floor, and her jaw dropped in disbelief. A look of pure horror filled her eyes. I still was unsure of who she was, this strange woman in my family home. But now was not the time to ponder about who she was and why she was here. I had to handle the situation at hand. Looking at my parents’ bodies, I could tell my father was holding something in his hand. Slowly I walked over to his side of the bed where he lay facing down. Gently, I pried his fingers apart.

I removed the bloody object that he was holding onto so tightly when he was murdered. It was a golden pendant with the picture of a woman. Looking more closely at it and wiping the blood off of it, I recognized the woman in the picture as the gorgeous beauty that was now softly sobbing. It was her – albeit a younger version. Looking back at my parents slaughtered bodies, my heart dropped at the sudden realization of what this all meant. This very tragic event was about to change the world and my life as I knew it. I felt a lump in my throat as tears welled up in my eyes. Of all the emotions that now flooded me, despair was the one that was strongest. My parents were the most powerful Warlock King & Witch Queen to have ever ruled Eternia, a powerful witch kingdom. Tears of anger flowed down my cheeks as fury boiled deep inside of me.

“Who would do such a thing?” I said quietly, my voice now filled with anger and disgust.

In the background, I could hear soft sobs of the maid, who I still held closely to. My younger brother Heath softly spoke up, “I do not know but whosoever done this will surely pay with their own life.” His voice was filled with the anger and fury that matched my own.

The red-headed beauty slowly walked over to my dead mother’s body and took her hands, softly. She said, “My dearest Aunt Zaleria” as she kissed my mother’s bloody hand. Tears running down her cheeks, she then steps away slowly and looks at me with great sorrow in her eyes. She touches my shoulder as she walks out of the room. For a brief moment, I could see into her very soul. I could tell my mother was someone of great importance to her. I felt her sadness deep within my own body. I felt her deep heartbreak, and it touched me.

The maid who was bawling in my arms has now calmed down, and left the room with the other maid who had fainted earlier. It was just my brother and I left alone. We stood in silence looking at the bodies. Hot tears of anger were now flowing heavily down both our faces., but something in my peripheral vision caught my attention. In the far corner of the room was a black raven feather. I walked over to it and slowly picked it up to study it. A raven feather could only mean one thing: my Aunt Morgana. A raven feather was always her calling card and somehow, I got the feeling she had some sort of involvement in the grisly murder of my parents.

Within moments, our family security was now in the room. The head security officer was now taking over the scene. "
