IndePENdence Press (an independent self-publisher) will be doing an anthology collection of Holiday Romance Themed Short Stories and is looking for authors who would like to submit their own holiday romance themed stories to their anthology collection that is due to be released on December 18, 2017.

I want to mention a little something in regards to the Mistletoe Kisses Anthology Collection in regards to having your short stories edited and proofread before submitting them to Mistletoe Kisses Anthology Collection - this is more like a warning. If your work is not edited nor proofread and does not read right or look good grammatically - it will not be entered into the Mistletoe Kisses Anthology Collection. My editor is very busy with editing others as well as my own books and she does not have the time to thoroughly go through each short story submitted to make sure all is well with it, one of the rules of the anthology collection was to have your story edited and proofread prior to submission. If you fail to do so and in the end even after you signed the contact and I approve it myself, if my editor goes through it and find significant errors and it does not read nor look good - I will immediately reject it and not have it apart of the Mistletoe Kisses Anthology Collection. I will contact you about it and give you till the 30th of November to have it properly edited and proofread before you can re-submit it.

Another thing I want to touch on in regards to the Mistletoe Kisses Anthology Collection is the legal contract for Mistletoe Kisses Anthology Collection. Once your story has been approved and entered into the collection, you will have (7) days to read and look over the contract completely either by yourself or with your own personal lawyer, make sure you fully understand it, sign it and return back to me. You can either mail it back via postal mail or scan a copy of your signature on it and email me the scan copy. You will also need to fill out any highlighted areas on the contract with your own personal information and I will need a copy of that as well for my own records. If you need further assistance or clarification, you more than welcome to talk with my lawyer Umar Farooq, I can have him call you should you need to talk to him. For any other questions or assistance in regards to Mistletoe Kisses Anthology Collection itself, feel free to ask me and I will be more than happy to assist you to the best of my abilities.

The Official Release Date of Nocturnia: The Prophecy & Eternally Yours: Legacy

Due to me working with a new editor and proofreader, who is also my Critique Partner - I will be postponing the releases of Nocturnia: The Prophecy and Eternally Yours: Legacy till Monday - December 18th, 2017.  Reason why I am waiting two months to release them is because I want to make sure they are truly at their best before officially releasing them. 

Also, am holding off so that I can release both eBook and printed book versions on the very same day PLUS release of *SIGNED COPIES* of Nocturnia: The Prophecy and also Eternally Yours: Legacy.  So, Monday - December 18th, 2017 will be a huge release day not only for the eBook version releases but also the printed book versions as well as the *SIGNED COPIES* of both books.  The release day party for both those books will be on that Saturday - December 16th, 2017 @ 6 PM Eastern Standard Time Zone.

I will be opening pre-orders for signed copies of my books just after Thanksgiving,  so that you can reserve your copies before it is too late or sold out - especially if you want to give them as gifts to one lucky Paranormal Romance Erotica lover! Pricing information coming soon as time draws near.  

I will also be working with a songwriter/singer to create two original songs for both Nocturnia: The Prophecy and Eternally Yours: Legacy - where each book would have it's own theme song.  I will also have two professionally book trailers made for each book to promote their releases in December.  

Also, audiobook versions of both Nocturnia: The Prophecy and Eternally Yours: Legacy will both be available in December - just in time for Christmas - December 25th, 2017.

Holly Polk: What was your inspiration for the plot? I've read a lot of vampire novels but never anything that was quite like this.
Scerina Elizabeth: What was your inspiration for the plot? I've read a lot of vampire novels but never anything that was quite like this.   wanted to write something very memorable to my readers that would not only leave them wanting more but forever imprinted in their memory.
 
Holly Polk: So this is the first book, right? You plan on doing more in Bloodlines series?
Scerina Elizabeth: Eternally Yours will be a Trilogy series :) This is book one of the series
 
Holly Polk: I really enjoy the different chapters being different people. Was it easier or more difficult to write it that way?
Scerina Elizabeth: I find it very easy and more comfortable - I have had a few people say it is structured bad and should be rewritten but these days am seeing many books written this way from a different character point of view and some people has told me they found it very refreshing to read from a different character point of view.
Holly Polk: I love it! There have been so books I've read where I would have loved to know what the other main character was thinking.
Scerina Elizabeth: I love writing from a different character point of view for each chapter – makes things all the more interesting and funner – more exciting
 
Holly Polk: So this is the first book, right? You plan on doing more in Bloodlines series?
Scerina Elizabeth: Eternally Yours will be a Trilogy series :) This is book one of the series
 
Holly Polk: When do you plan for the release of book 2?
Scerina Elizabeth: I plan on releasing Book Two in either November or December - not sure when exactly
Holly Polk: Awesome! You have had a lot of releases this year. I hope it continues next year too!
Scerina Elizabeth: Oh I am praying so as well because I have big plans for 2018

My Reason For Writing

When I first started to write (over ten years ago), it was a form of therapy for me.  I mostly written poetry - I wrote on and off over the years but most recently I have gotten back into writing.  This time it wasn't poetry, although I hope to publish a book of poems one day.  Inspired by other books I read recently and meeting another author who got me into self-publishing, I started to write again. 
 
For me, it is never about the fame, glory, or even the profit of writing a book.  The true reason for my writing is my passion to create my own stories and characters as a way to escape my real life and the real world.  It still is a form of therapy that help calms me down and soothe my trouble soul.  
 
But lately I have notice that I have been getting caught up in the hype of promoting my books and caring more about good reviews than my own writing and the quality of my writing.  It even shows in my writing, my quality is truly slacking big time.  I find myself stressing over the length of the book, whether the storyline is good or not so I won't receive a harsh or negative review, the amount of time I have to get it written and published - in truth it should never be about those things.  
 
I have in one way or another let others dictate my style and quality of writing, from editing down to even the storyline itself to the quality of my work.  I have read a post written by another author who I admire where she was talking about how an author should write for themselves and of course their true genuine fans.  She emphasize that not all will love your work and how you can't please everyone, which is true.  There will always be that one person who will bitch and moan about the way you write your story or the style of your writing as if they are the ones writing the story itself.  I agree with her on everything she has said, one thing I took away from her post is that I should write the way I would want to read my story.  Take my time to develop the characters and storyline more and never put a timeline on your book till you know for sure it is ready to be published.  I need to pour my heart and soul into my stories to make the quality of my stories just as passionate as I feel when writing them.  
 
I have been told many times that I need to make my books full length novels which may help me get better reviews, but truth of the matter is - I am more comfortable writing novellas or novelettes, even if it means more than one book or a series of books - I do not mind.  They are my stories and my characters, I can write as I want and of as I please with them - full length novel, novella, novelette, or even a short story - as long as the quality of the story is good and the reader truly enjoys my stories - that I all I truly care about.  I also find working with my own true genuine fans who want what is best for my stories and characters as well as me, the author, is also best.  Working with a fan who is truly into my stories will give me a sense or idea of what they would like to see and they are just as passionate as I am about my own stories and characters.  They want others to feel the same way as they do about my writings.  Therefore they want what is best for my stories so that others can experience and enjoy my stories just as much as them.  
 
I also realize that true fans make the best beta readers and ARC reviewers cause they will see things that you miss and help out with the editing and revising process to truly make my books  the best of the best.  I am very blessed to have the editors and proofreaders that I have working with me on my books because they truly do look out for the best interests of my stories. I know am no Anne Rice or even Stephen King - am a new up and coming author who just started self-publishing but I do have the potential and promise to make it far in the writing world once I gained enough experience and exposure.  I know my writing style and skill will develop more over time and with each book.  Am at the point where am like if someone don't like my book, it is perfectly okay because not everyone will like my stories.  All I care about are those who do enjoy them keep enjoying them with each new book that I publish and giving them what they want without stressing myself out.  I write for myself and my true genuine fans who are just as passionate about my stories as I am.  Writing is a form of therapy for me which am very passionate about.  
 
I hope this post does not offend some but this is how I truly honestly feel and if it does offend anyone - my sincere apologies was not my intention to upset or offend anyone in the process of opening up myself to you all.
