Update on My New Novel and More
Hi, everyone! Everyone having a good weekend so far? I know that it's getting hot, considering that June is officially June. Can you believe it?! Any books you guys are planning to read this summer or any plans? Leave your comment below. I wanna hear them!
I just want to keep this blog brief, because I need to give you guys a little update. As you may know, my new Fantasy/Young Adult novel has been published. Slow progress on sales, but at least I got my story out of the way. However, there have been technical issues, if anyone has noticed it or not. It seems there was no preview button available, even though I have a sample available on Amazon.
And you're wondering how does that work? For anyone who is a self-publisher or not, Goodreads is connected to the Kindle Cloud reader. So instead of manually uploading the preview of your book to Goodreads, your preview of your book will automatically be there (how convenient). But in order for that to happen, you must have a sample available on Amazon in order for the preview to pop up.
For this case for me, something went wrong. So luckily, Goodreads is going to fix that, and someone is going to contact me to give me an update. In the meantime, I'm sorry if anyone wanted to read the preview. I really want you guys to have a sneak peak of the book and give you guys an insight.
On the side note, though, I have a preview available on both Amazon and Wattpad, if you guys want to read it so badly before reading the full version. I'll provide the links below, so you guys can check it out. In the meantime, stay up-to-date and do spread the word about my new release! Take care and have a good day.

Another Free Sale plus Preview of New Novel
Hey, everyone. I was meaning to do a blog post earlier, but I was cooped up with everything in my life. And, when I tried to finalize my blog post, yesterday, I accidentally pressed something and all my hard work was gone. So now that I'm in a better disposition, I will give you guys a quick update (not sure how quick).
As you may have known, I was featured in the Indie Advent Calendar event on Wednesday, and I had to do a takeover on a Facebook group called Navigating Indieworld (it's fun. If any writer wants to join, do check it out). If you guys have missed it, don't worry. There was nothing much you have missed. Plus, I'm doing a recap in here.
From one of my posts, I was going to a free ebook sale on The Serpent Girl somewhere in December. At last, I found the date, and it will start on December 22nd to December 25th before midnight. So please don't miss this opportunity. As I said before, I want to be generous for every holiday season including this year's. So consider it as my gift to you!
Lastly, I have shown a preview of my new novel that I have been working on and a reveal of the title. I called it The Weight of Our Souls. So I will place the preview below, so you guys can read it. There are no spoilers. I'm just giving you an idea of what the story is going to be about. Until then, stay up-to-date and have a good day!
Preview of The Weight of Our Souls: Entering my office, I noticed the scent of lavender filling up my nose. Even though I came here to discuss with Nana about Nikhil yesterday, I missed being here, surrounded by the stillness of the air. And when I closed the door behind me, I opened the cabinet full of bottles which have glowed in random patterns, creating a luminescent light in the room. It would happen whenever I come in to judge the souls’ fate, so there’s no need to switch the lights on.
For extra precaution, I closed the shades, since I almost got caught by Grouse. Sure, he didn’t see me what he claims to be a “sorcery,” but he was close to finding out my secret. I wanted to call the police on him, but Nana told me Grouse and his father were the most likable citizens in the county so, yes, it was impossible. Plus, they’re wealthy, so the police in our province were giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Why are these people so damn clueless?
As I placed the remaining bottled souls on my desk, I pulled out both the scale and feather. No one knew that weighing of the heart remained alive, considering it was the belief in Ancient Egypt. Even though their faith diminished, it remains. Who knew my family had kept this part of the ritual alive when they first told me.
But instead of people’s hearts, we use their souls to determine their fate. My family and I believed it was morally right. Though, for some reason, I don’t understand why us when I’ve been told it’s God’s job. For so long, I’ve thought about that, but I’ve guessed God needed extra help.

The Weight of Our Souls Book reveal
Hey, everyone! Long-time, no post! Things have been crazy for me, but at least I managed to get on and write something for you all! And of course, I have been busy fixing up my manuscript before publishing it!
If you have missed the cover reveal, please don't worry about it! You can still see it from here, Twitter, or on Instagram (sorry if the quality is not good). Feel free if you want to comment on your thoughts on the book cover.
My guess on the release of the book might be later this month. I'm not sure exactly, but I will let you know when it'll be published or not. So please stay tuned for that, and thank you for your patience. It's hard when you juggle both work and writing life. In the meantime, you can check out the synopsis that I will post down below, and I will provide links from the last author interview I had (I talk about my writing and the book I was working on) and the preview of the book. Until then, take care and have a great week, guys!
Synopsis: Everything seems mundane to Gwendolyn Hill, considering her job and social status. Yep, nothing’s better than being a funeral director at the Hill Manor, while socializing with her grandmother, her pet cat, and—-wait for it—-her ghost friend. That’s right. Gwen can not only see ghosts, but she can also guide them to where they need to go. And to lead the spirits on the right path is to weigh them with a scale and a feather.
Meanwhile, a spirit is sending visions to Gwen, but she doesn’t know why. All she can figure out that it may be a threat, but to who?
For people who love The Ghost Whisperer TV series and/or Balckwell game series ,The Weight of Our Souls tells a story of one woman who will help every soul, and she will know that she won’t always rely on just a scale and a feather.
