A Holiday Update!!
Hey, everyone. It is officially November, and you all are prepping up for the holidays (mainly, the stores). And today's the day we celebrate our veterans who'd been fighting for our country. Our rights. So let's salute them and give them our thanks.
I apologize for not being active on my blog. I was so busy with work, but now it has passed. So now that I'm here, I want to give you all an update-- after I tell you this long story (not long, though).
For starters, I thought I have the surprise with me, but I don't have it anymore. What happened was that I entered a contest-- an Anthology collection-- where you can submit your stories have them published through there. I didn't care about the prizes, honestly, I wanted to get my story out through the contest.
At first, I have been approved by the admin of the contest. So I got very excited and went to tell everyone the good news. But, on the next day, the admin stated, "due to serious editing errors and issues with your short story — I am unable to accept or approve it for the *blank* Anthology Collection. Your story needs serious editing and revision work. It is not ready to be entered into the anthology as it is now."
I was surprised and upset that they no longer approved it because of "serious editing errors and issues." I didn't know what went wrong because I made sure that everything was correct. I even had a friend, who knows the scope of writing, checked on it. So I kept questioning what's REALLY wrong and why did he/she approve it in the first place. However, the admin kept dodging my questions, telling me that I need professional help on editing. She didn't say EXACTLY where my mistakes are, but she "knows it."
I'm not here to banter or anything. I was very suspicious about the emails I've had about the short story contest. But now that it's over, I probably won't have to deal with it.
And, and a very special tip, make sure to do your research on a website before you do anything crazy.
Which leads me to the very special update; so since I'm not able to publish my short story through there, I want to share my short story through my Goodreads blog, since the holidays are coming (Ha! Had a backup plan all along. Booyakasha)!
So my short story will be posted on Thanksgiving, so mark your calendars! It will be Holiday/Romance themed short story. I'm still unsure if I should break it into parts. But I think it might be for the best since my short story is nine pages long (yes, I checked it through Microsoft Word). I'll make sure to remind you guys as much as I can.
In the meantime, I would like to end this blog post on a positive note that my Author page on Amazon has been created. So I want you all to check it out (if you want). I may have only one so far, but there will be more to come in the near future. https://www.amazon.com/Simi-Sunny/e/B...
And be sure to check out my latest novel, The White Sirens. Available on Amazon in ebook version. Have a lovely four day weekend!

Contest to Donate Money for Non-Profit Organization
So I've decided to enter a contest so that I can donate money to a non-profit organization. I'm hoping maybe you all can vote for my story so that we can ALL win. :) What do you say?
All you have to do is read my story and vote until tomorrow (I just found out when I read the ad). And if I get the most votes, I can donate the money to the organization of my choosing, so I will be choosing Save The Children Foundation.
And please do share my story with the hashtag #MyGivingStory on any social media. Thank you and have a good day!
PS: Once you go to the website, search "One Act of Kindness at a Time" in order to read and vote for my story. http://mygivingstory.givingtuesday.or...

Keeping up with News
Hey, everyone. Today's the first day of December (Hooray)!
That means that a lot of things are happening. For starters, there is the Indie Advent Calendar event, so I hope you all can check out ans support many authors, including myself. It will be fun. As I mentioned before, there will be giveaways, prizes, and a featured author for each day. This event will last until the last day of December.
In other news, I have been sponsoring this contest that I'm entering. Like I said, the winner with the most votes will earn the donation money and fund it to a non-profit organization to his or her choosing. So if I win, I will give the money to Save the Children Foundation. So I want to you guys to help me out and make a difference. It's not just me that I'm helping, but also all of you. The voting will last until December 7th, so please be sure to vote. And for those who have already voted, you can vote again each day. http://mygivingstory.givingtuesday.or...
One more thing, I'm close to finishing up this new novel that I'm working on. I'm not sure how close I am, but I know I am getting there. And after that, it will be editing and proofreading time. There are some ideas that I want to add, so bear with me guys!
So that's all it for me. Be sure to be up-to-date with my blogs. And be sure to check out my latest work, The White Sirens. Available on Amazon in ebook version. You guys are fantastic and have a nice weekend! https://www.amazon.com/White-Sirens-S...
