Release of Fairy Fun by Anita Philmar

Blurb for "Fairy Fun"
Dedrick Forester, Prince of Endole, is fast approaching the end of his fairy cycle, which means losing his ability to fly, transforming into a wood gnome, and having to choose a mate. Until then he just wants to have fun...and lots of sex.
King Rosewood of Evermore is determined to see his daughter wed, but Chloe loves the freedom of fairy flight too much to settle down as a frumpy old wood gnome. She escapes and spreads her wings to reach new heights...like air sex with a stranger.
Combine her passion with Dedrick's and sparks light up the sky. Both discover pleasure beyond their wildest fantasies. But neither is prepared for the emotional connection. Now Dedrick must convince Chloe that losing her wings doesn't mean there aren't other ways to fly?
Thanks Anita for sharing. This is a fun short story that I really enjoyed.

Exercise

"No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training... what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable."
Socrates
In some ways, I have to agree. Once you put in the time and get stronger, you can do so much more and feel so much better. The main problem is find the time and motivation, but in the end it is worth it.
Now, I guess I should go exercise with my friends. Don't you love the shoes?

Ready for the Dream to Happen?
"Never fear the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so."
Belva Davis
I pray sometimes "Please give me patience-----now."
Then I laugh, because part of the challenges and fun in life is the waiting.
Imagine not having to plan a wedding, or seeing a football game and knowing how it will end.
No, I can wait.

Dieting

Okay, its the new year and like most of the world, I'm dieting.
But according to the book I'm using, its a lifestyle change.
I'll agree, and I must say, I like what the author had to say. Size 12 is the size of the average American woman. No joke--fact.
What I enjoy most about Jorge Cruise's book is that he offers more than just a diet. He uses the same technique that Cheryl St.John used in the goals class I just took. Visualization - I believe I will succeed therefore I will achieve my goals.
Every morning, I read a little blurb that tells me to picture myself in different situations. I imagine myself in these settings (like the picture above of my first book signing) and smile at the wonderful new life I will have as a thin, popular author. I do a few exercises and follow his meal plan, which is basically the same as what my mother use while I was growing up.
This should be easy, but will it work?
I'll let you know in the come weeks.
Have a great week,
Tina

Keeping Score

Life is painting a picture, not doing a sum.
Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.
What a beautiful thought. Think if people weren't so caught up on bettering each other and looked at their life as a work of art to be cherished.
That frozen mess in the front yard might take on a new mean and just be a place to play.

The Power of Silence

It is as important to cultivate your silent power as it is your word power.
William James
This I thought was interesting because I just read an exercise in "Writing on Both Sides of the Brain" by Henriette Anne Klauser. In the exercise one person is listening while the other person speaks, they do this for three minutes without the listening person saying anything other than yes, go on.
According to Ms. Klauser, it has a number of benefits not only to the person being listened to, but to the listener as well.
- reveals dramatic truths
- allows us to calm our mind and hone in on the problem
- helps you find the answers to your own problems
Silent power is skill worth developing.
Have an awesome day,

Fighting Reactions

A life of reaction is a life of slavery, intellectually and spirtually. One must fight for a life of action not reaction.
Rita Mae Brown.
This quote hit me hard today. Because I'm not exactly in the best mood today. I just want to hit something or someone. I know it's because I'm reacting to events in my life that are out of my control. And like everyone else in the world, I like to be in control.
I have to work at accepting what I can't change and changing what I can without it effecting my mood.
Easier said than done.
Here's to a good day,
Tina

Cheryl St. John's Goal Class
Awesome is the only word I can used to describe it.
The actual title is GETTING RID OF THE JUNK THAT HOLDS US BACK.
And she covered it all--low expectations, fear, self talk, and much more. The class help me set realistic goals and more importantly why I wasn't achieving the goals I'd set in the past.
