Already this year has brought about change.

My husband has found a new job and we are moving.

Like any change, it's hard to adjust the new set of challenges you face.

Probably why most books start with a major change for the character.

Any way as you can see from my lack of posting, I need to reorganize my to-do list.

HWG Christmas Party

Saturday, I attended Heartland Writer's Group Christmas Party. We had a fun time in the sun.

Instead of the normal Christmas attire we celebrated a beach read and got out our grass skirts and sunscreen. We exchanged books that are special to us. We all had a great time and rediscovered the joy of writing.

White Elephant Exchange

Don't want to over spent - try a white elephant exchange with your friends.

Pick out something in your house that you've never use and wrap it up to exchange. A fun way to see what others have in their closet and it's a great way to keep cost down while still having a good time.

The holidays are not about the gifts that you receive but the family and friends that you love.

De-Stressing the Holidays

Remember some time for yourself with long hot bath or in a good book

Get other involved - let the children be in charge of decorating the tree or let your husband hang the lights. Getting help from other will make the task more enjoyable and will create memories for years to come.

Plan ahead - this way you don't overburden yourself. Can you really make twelve dozen cookies in one day?
