I sure remember days like this when we'd travel to Shanghai for a day of shopping or medical visits, and come home and blow black from our noses for days. Not fun.

Horrifying photo, I know.
When you've lived in as many houses as I have, (27 at my last count) you start to remember each one by some small identifying detail and not much else. The house before this one, just a rental between house closings, was a nice home in a quiet subdivision. But it had one big issue....WOLF SPIDERS! They stayed mostly in the basement but a few of them made it upstairs and also into the foyer. Even after a few professional insecticide sprays, I was terrified in that house and had many a stare down with one of the ugly creatures as we passed in the hall. We've called it the Spider House ever since and I even wrote a 'Spider Room' into one of my novels I was working on there.
What's something memorable about a house you lived in before? Creatures? Strange neighbors? Bad conditions? Barking dogs?

China’s “one child” policy has led to the overseas adoption of many Chinese girls. As young women, they often seek to find their birth parents or at least try to learn more about the circumstances of their birth, their separation or relinquishment or abandonment, and their subsequent adoption.
