Om nom nom

Contrariwise: Literary Tattoos has been hosting a Neil Gaiman theme week.

I think the title of this entry speaks for itself.

I might be Frank Beddor's bastard literary child

From The Looking Glass Wars:

"I tell you to think black thoughts and you come up with that?!" the lieutenant had screamed. "Is a guinea pig bad? Do you consider a guinea pig the representation of all that is evil?"

"Maybe... if it's an evil guinea pig."

The fairies would have totally said something like that.

Two Versions

Long story short, I had to buy an entirely new outfit for myself at JC Penney's very suddenly.

The long story still short but slightly longer? When your husband hates driving through the car wash for no good reason, and you ask him if he checked that all the windows were rolled up and he says, "YES"... check the sunroof yourself.

He claims a gasket needs replacing. Uh-huh.

(To my credit, I only screamed "Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t!" in front of the child, and not an assortment of far more colorful words as

I could wile away the hours

via Derek Molata, who is an evil boy, and just wants me to stare UTTERLY HYPNOTIZED at the computer, playing paper dolls.

Damsel in Distress(ed)

So, I have Nefarious Plans for my brown leather corset that I wear with the steampunk ensemble.  It is too new, too brown, and photographs as such.

Reading on various websites that I should scratch it all over (fingernails, sandpaper, wire brush) and the spray with alcohol (or vice versa.)  A judicious application of dirt, tar, RIT dye (or blood, I guess) might also help.

I wish I had time to get something new and costume-y made.  Alas! Alack!

I loved all of them, but my first tattoo was the rose from B&tB.  So there ya go. *G*

A Lot Can Happen in a 100 Days

I was getting ready to make a very witty post about something, when my countdown timer loaded.

We broke 100 days.

There's a lot on the desk right now. Revisions on Theater Book 2 (which IS titled and WAS gutted and IS being stitched back together even now.)  NorwesCon next week.  Houseguests for TeamSparkletown (con-goers coming back to my house so we can go sparkly vampire tracking.)

But.

Less than a hundred days.

(And no, I don't know why Sprout squishes my cover art, and should anyone want to make

It's Monday morning, have a Wheel of Death

Nothing says "What ate my weekend?" like a giant metal contraption and two acrobats defying death.

Breathtaking moment at the 1:20 mark, followed by many others...

Nefarious NorwesCon Planning

So I've chatted with my creative team about Book Trailers for Eyes Like Stars, and the consensus is: go big or go home.

So I'm wondering who wants to participate in a lovely Group Project at NorwesCon.  With costumes.  And a video camera.

G-rated (yes, this will disappoint some of you.)

And no, I have no specific ideas yet.  But it may involve sock puppets.  And internet FAME AND FORTUNE.
