I hope you had a chance to do a little reading or watch something inspiring last week, but don’t beat yourself up if you didn’t have the opportunity. Today is another day. Maybe you happened to find a great motivational speech that fired you up to start that business, or perhaps you read a book from my reading list that made you stop and contemplate new ideas. No matter how you consumed the content, it’s time you let it marinate.
Before you lose your spark, I want you to sit down and really think about the information. Not just on a macro level but precisely how you can translate these ideas into your own life. It might be a small tweak in your business plan, picking up an old hobby, or just the desire to consume more information. I have no idea what path you are about to follow, but I ask that you sit alone and contemplate your thoughts for a least an hour this week. I know you are extremely busy, so make a point to schedule this time in your calendar and stick to it.
I believe whatever book you decided to pick up, or video you chose to watch wasn’t an accident. I have no idea what you want out of life, but some part of you does. It might be buried so deep that you can’t even hear it anymore, but don’t underestimate the power and potential of personal contemplation. Consuming new ideas is great, but if it doesn’t move you into some sort of action in your own life, does it really have any value. Think about that for an hour!

“I have to tell you something,” Oliver said, leaning in with a mischievous whisper. “I want some chocolate.”
That kid kills me!
