My mom took this pic of the kids last weekend, and it’s such a cool shot. Not only was it taken at one of my favorite spots to sit and contemplate life, but it was also taken by a woman who always has my back.

My mom does so much for us; it’s hard to put into words. Not only does she take the kids when we need a break, but she also takes them on excursions when I need a few hours to write.

I think my kids would rather be with their Nanny Cathy than me, but I’m ok with it. I still remember crying for her every time she left the house when I was a kid, and she always reminds me about it!!! Have a great Saturday morning, everyone, and give your mommy a big hug this weekend!

Basketball has been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school, and I loved being able to take this shot of my kids playing ball on the same court where I grew up.

I found this old photo of my grandfather and me when I was going...

I found this old photo of my grandfather and me when I was going through one of his old suits last week. It must have been sitting in there for over 15 years. I never even realized it. I have no idea how it got in there, but when I found the picture, it brought tears to my eyes.

Here’s to a man who not only raised me as his son but taught me the about the love of family and how to be a great Dad. I’ve only been to his grave once since he passed, but I feel him every day, and his legacy of love, sacrifice, and selflessness will forever live in the smiles of my children.
