An outsiders view of Camilla and Alexi

L.T.Marshall

As a writer I always have my own vision and understanding of why my characters are the way they are and why they make the choices they do. I spend a lot of time researching Psychology as a hobby, which I combine with my own life experiences and that I know of friends who have confided in me. I have always been a people watcher, for my entire life and recognise, patterns , behaviours from a young age.

I feel like somehow this was all training to become the writer I am now and find it completely refreshing when a reader or someone working on the books has the same vision as me.

I asked my very trusted Team Member Rachel, who was proof reader on books 7 and 8 and also gave me her insight into the books, to write me a review that was a little more in…

Life Update and book 9 news.

Where have I been? I keep hearing you say.

Well I am back on track and ready to jump into 2019 with more vavooom.

If you are a part of my fan group you would know I have had a lot of family issues and home troubles for the past few months which held everything in my life up. It infected every avenue of my little family unit and we had many months of intense stress and turmoil. Although things are not fully resolved, we have seen light at the end of the tunnel and we are onto a better path for a brighter future. Things are on the up. And that means my writing mojo hath returned and I am more determined than ever to get back on the horse.

Christmas was very relaxed and toned down and rather than make it about the gifts this year, we made it all about good food, nice company and family time. It was a nice break after a very emotional few months and was the healing balm I think I needed.

So what now?

I have returned to writing book 9, posted a tiny sneak peek in my fan group and currently redoing my work room for a productive year.

I have big plans!!

I am starting to use my YouTube channel for vlogs next week. One a week to see how I go and will be incorporating my life, my writing and much more. I want to let you in on who I am and how I live. That may come in the form of crafts and cooking, or just chat and updates but I am a person of very many interests and creative to boot. So I hope it won’t be boring to watch.

Book 9 will hopefully have a release date in February and the Carrero magazine needs it’s issue 2 January release. All is coming now that things are more settled. I think the biggest thing this New year has taught me, is that forward planning is key and putting things in place for a more streamlined 2019. I have plans in motion and hope you stick along to see it.

On another note. – The Carrero effect, Book 1 is now in the hands of a glorious Italian translator and the book will be translated and better distributed in Italy when it is complete. The deadline is Oct 2019 and after that we shall see how many other languages or what other books follow in the same path.

I need to stop putting my feet up and turn off the TV. It’s time to get some work done x

Happy Hogmany from Scotland xx

I just wanted to pop by and wish you all a happy new year. In Scotland we have Hogmany and a traditional way to greet fellow Scots is to say ‘Lang may yer lum reek’ as a good wish in the new year.

So I say it to you all now ( it means long may your chimney smoke) So in other words – I hope you always have all you need

As a little New year gesture, my book 2 is up on Kindle Amazon FREE for the next 5 days.

Enjoy.
You can find the promo schedule below which details the free book every month. Treat it like a book club if you will, a free book in order of my series a month until they are all dished out x We will add any new releases to the end of the schedule through the year

Unicorn Notebook and Pencil Topper

It is no secret I am unicorn obsessed and I have a major weakness for notebooks. I think it’s the love of writing, combined with cute stationary.

I had a request to make an easy notebook and pencil topper and loved how it turned out. I went for simplicity with this one but you can use these templates with felt and stitch your projects for a much more polished look.

I used glitter foam in this video and a tip I should have done before hand was to seal the glitter with a thin layer of acrylic varnish or Mod podge. It turned out cute and I ended up sealing the glitter after I was done filming.

For added cuteness you can mod podge and glitter the pencil to match .

I try to make my crafts simple for all skill levels to follow. I hope this one inspires you to try your own designs too.

All you need is your note book size, your imagination, scissors and glue.

The pencil topper basic shape can be used as a base for many designs.

You can get the template for mine here –

Life update and Unicorn sewing kit tutorial.

It has been a while since I wrote a blog, for many reasons, mainly family life so I thought I better give you an update.

Book 9 is underway. I am in the rough draft writing stage and am about a third into the book and it is going slowly. We are hoping for a December release but I am not setting a deadline just yet.

This will be the final book in the Contract trio and Alexi’s POV bonus book will follow, so bear with me.

I have had a lot of family related issues this past couple of months, a poorly child and an anniversary of a death to contend with. It’s been a struggle and severely impacted my ability to write and focus for long periods of time. I am glad to see we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and life is starting to improve on all fronts.

In between my daily writing stints I make craft videos for my YouTube channel and will post the video below with templates for the project.

Crafting used to be my full time occupation and it is still how I deal with stress so it will never stop being something I do. Weirdly I craft a lot more when writing my books, because it helps me clear my head in the morning and able to think through the days scenes.
