Paranormal Women’s Fiction

It’s finally time to share the exciting new direction I’m going in with my storytelling. If you haven’t heard the term paranormal women’s fiction, it’s basically urban fantasy with heroines who are forty plus.

You’ll still get all the funny sexy magic of my other books, a Jewish main character and cool mythology built on various elements of Judaism, but my new heroine, Miriam Feldman, is forty-two.

I get to play with a women with more life experience and more self-awareness, who has to balance being kickass with her other responsibilities, and I’m having a blast writing her.

Also, this is the first time that I’ve ever included shifters and vampires in my stories.

So… drum roll please… let me introduce you to Throwing Shade (Magic After Midlife, #1).

She’s tossing her Spanx, owning her hormones, and letting her magic fly free.

Underestimate her. That’ll be fun.

It’s official. Miriam Feldman is killing it in the midlife crisis department. She’s mastered boredom, aced invisibility, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in smiling and playing nice in her post-divorce life. But when a drink with a “good guy” goes sideways, Miriam snaps, and in a cold dark rage unleashes a rare and powerful shadow magic.

To make matters worse, her best friend goes missing and Miri is thrust into a world of hidden magic, vampires, and a legacy of hatred aimed directly at her. Hard to say which is more dangerous, this spiderweb of supernatural power plays, the grumpy French wolf shifter she’s teamed up with, or Miri herself, kicking butt and rediscovering the woman who got lost along the way.

But lines get blurred in the shadows, and if she’s not careful, she could lose everyone she loves. She’ll have to turn her invisibility into strength and pray they never see her coming.

Forty isn’t the new twenty. It’s better.

Throwing Shade is a sassy, slow burn romance perfect for fans of K.F. Breene and Shannon Mayer.

Long Lost Friends #amwriting

Do any of you have a long lost friend? You were inseparable from this person and couldn’t imagine growing apart, and yet, you’re not even connected on Facebook now?

I had a friendship like that.

Now that I’ve wrapped up my second series and started my third, I’m feeling that way about Nava, Ro, and the gang. Isn’t that weird? I mean, I wrote these characters, but I’m not sure I could get into their heads anymore.

I feel this wistful nostalgia whenever I think of them. (Yeah, I know I could just go and re-read my own damn books.)

This hasn’t happened yet with Ash, since the final book just came out a couple of weeks ago, but I’m sure it will, because the new characters that I’m writing are already crowding them out.

I just have to trust that I left them better than I found them (hell yeah in poor Nava’s case, because that girl was a hot mess) and they’re living their best lives. lol

If you haven’t read Nava’s story, yet, grab this complete six-book (plus a companion novel) series today. readerlinks.com/l/994479
