I do agree that what is considered a monster is a construct based on our time and location.

However, to say that some acts are not inherently bad (causing suffering unnecessarily) is not based in reality. Some people, for what ever reason, derive pleasure from suffering.

Those people exist.

Sometimes they cause massive problems.

Thank you!

Thank you! It certainly started as writing therapy when I was faced with a bout of existential angst!

Having the ability to discuss these kind of questions in a safe way is key to understanding and to faith and to spirituality.

Im still agnostic, but I sway between belief and disbelief regularly. To be able to consider the options and discuss it with people is very consoling

Thank you for your detailed responses. I can see that you have pondered this as well deeply!

In terms of speaking to God, I am spiritual, but I am searching for a connection. I read on the topic and meditate daily.

I have found faith in the concept of faith itself!

Thank you.

Thank you.

Sharing our story is the only way we can really break stigma — sharing the realit of our situations.

I have made a project that you may appreciate: https://www.zachary-phillips.com/shareyourstory

This is the Share Your Story project: a collection of my readers stories on mental health, trauma and the recovery process.

My hope is to help the readers heal through connecting with the stories of others, and the writers heal through the act of sharing and expressing themselves.
