Connie's Song
Right then, I need to share my theme song for Connie. Like Ben's, it's Christian but I didn't know that when I found it. Instead, I thought it was word-perfect for how Connie feels about Ben at the beginning of my story. Coupled with Ben's song ('Mended by Matthew West') they express exactly how the two are entwined together.Here it is:

It's true, i just love a good romance!
Atonement will be forever in my pile of favorite books, it was just one of those stories that left a huge impact in me, the kind of story that stick with me. Oh neither to say i'm a big fan of the movie too.

It's surprising how often fictional Moiras--few and far between they may be--are irritating or antagonistic!

The best scene is where Thornton watches her carriage leave and whispers, "Look back at me." The expression on his face tells it all. I'm interested to hear about 'Mary Burton' when you're done. :)
Great to meet you, Moira. I hope you enjoy reading North and South—in a lot of ways it's superior to the mini-series, and in a few others it just can't compare to the drama. But I think it's up there with the best adaptations. :)
I really believe Harry Potter will be universal and eternal. My theory is that HP turned kids onto reading and that's why there's such an explosion of good YA novels...the kids just kept on reading. Yes! Have you checked out Rowling's Pottermore?

I never saw the movie but,you know the ending, what did you think? Did you think she was just going to reinvent the story as yet another act of atonement? It seemed to call into question the whole impossibility of atonement.
