The Gender Of God Explained
The gender of the God of The Bible is sometimes brought up in conversations for some reason or other. In today’s climate, the questioner may have underlying concerns related to feminism or gender identity. As a younger apologist, I had concerns about God being gendered at all. After all my philosophizing with the Kalam Cosmological and Modal Ontological Arguments, God shouldn’t be a male or a female. I wondered if perhaps this hinted at maybe The Bible being man made. After all, it isn’t like pe...

My Theological Epistemology Explained
In this article, I’d like to explain what my theological epistemology is. Epistemology is the study of knowledge; what we know, how we know, how we can be sure our knowledge is really justified true belief and not just a false belief. And, moreover, it is the studies of the methods we use to arrive at knowledge. What is it that grants us justification for our beliefs? Epistemology even asks questions such as “Can we choose what we believe?” and that gets into an interesting debate over views cal...

Naturism: God’s Idea From The Beginning
Naturism is a philosophical form of nudism. Nudism is simply recreational nudity alone and/or with others. To be a nudist simply means you like to do things nude that most people would do clothed. You hang around the house nude, you cook and clean nude, you read books nude, you watch TV nude, you prefer skinny dipping over wearing shame-err swimsuits, et. al. Naturism, in my opinion, is a form of nudism but with a philosophy attached to it. It’s a set of beliefs about the body that would justify...

Humans Are Not Bottles Of Wine
When I published my article “The Case For Christian Naturism”, Facebook absolutely blew up. By the end of it, there were 197 comments in all, with my fellow Christians expressing disapproval, disagreement, and at worst mockery and disdain. In the article, I make a positive biblical case for the permissibility of the practice of naturism (a philosophical form of nudism) and I responded to a few common objections. Near the end, I gave my personal testimony of why I even gave this minority sect of ...

Responding To Nick Peters’ Objections To Naturism (Part 10) – Conclusion
We finally come to an end to a long series of response articles to Nick Peters of Deeper Waters. In case you didn’t know, Nick Peters has written a copious amount of articles criticizing Aaron Frost’s book “Christian Body: Modesty and The Bible”, and I’ve been critiquing the critique. Although I am not Aaron Frost and his criticisms are not aimed directly at me, much of what Peters has said in his series are critiques of general arguments for naturism. Much of what Frost would use to defend natu...

Responding To Nick Peters’ Objections To Naturism (Part 9) – The Moral Effect Of Clothing and Nude Baptisms
This is part 9 in a series of articles I’m writing in response to Nick Peters, author of the Deeper Waters blog and host of The Deeper Waters Podcast. When I began this series of articles, I thought I would have only a dozen articles to respond to. And yet every day, there seems to be a new one on his site talking about this subject. I’ve no idea when I’ll finish, but I’d like to keep my series of responses to roughly a dozen, or at least no more than 15. Moreover, some of Peters’ criticisms get...

Responding To Nick Peters’ Objections To Naturism (Part 8) – Unpresentable Parts, God-Given Lust, and Unclothed Cultures
This is part 8 in a series of articles responding to Nick Peter’s objections to naturism. When I began this series of articles, I thought I would have only a dozen articles to respond to. And yet every day, there seems to be a new one on his site talking about this subject. I’ve no idea when I’ll finish, but I’d like to keep my series of responses to roughly a dozen, or at least no more than 15. Moreover, some of Peters’ criticisms get a little repetitive as he repeats straw men, false claims, a...

Responding To Nick Peters’ Objections To Naturism (Part 7) – Ezekiel and John
This is part 7 in a series of articles in which I respond to Nick Peters of Deeper Waters Apologetics. Nick Peters is writing a series of articles critiquing Aaron Frost’s book “Christian Body: Modesty and The Bible”. Although I am not the author of the book, some of the arguments Frost uses to defend naturism biblically and sociologically are some of the same arguments I would use. His articles can be seen as criticisms of naturism in general. If you would like to read parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and ...
