The Two Faced Nature Of The Young Earth Creationist

I've noticed an unsettling trend among my Christians brothers and sisters who adhere to a young earth view of creationism. It's no secret that this is, without a doubt, the most toxic debate in the church today. I cannot argue for Evolutionary Creationist views without the other side blasting me with the usual slander. "You're elevating man's fallible word over God's infallible word", "You don't take God's Word seriously.", "If you don't believe God created everything in 6 literal days 6...

Q&A: Objections To The Free Will Defense Against The Problem Of Evil

The most successful free will defense argues that in order to do good a person must be able to do evil. (Ex. In order to be rewarded for obedience, you must be able to disobey, for the courage you must be able to not do the courageous thing, etc.) So this would mean that there must be the free will to do...

Is It Okay For Protestants To Pray The Rosary?

The Rosary is a necklace with many beads on it and it has a crucifix down at the very bottom. But far from being a mere fashion accessory for Christians, the rosary is actually a tool used by Roman Catholics in prayer. Catholics run their fingers across the beads to count the prayers which comprise a rosary prayer session. There are, to my knowledge, two types of rosary prayer: "The Rosary" and "The Divine Mercy". The former consists of many Hail Marys that run across the "decade" beads (i.e...

The Case For The One True God -- Book Is Published

My newest book The Case For The One True God: A Scientific Philosophical and Historical Case For The God Of Christianity is officially out. This book was originally released in 2016 under the title Inference To The One True God: Why I Believe In Jesus Instead Of Other Gods. This book is an updated and expanded edition of that original book. In my opinion, it's a hundred times better than the original.
What This Book Is About
This book is about making a case for the existence of The God of...

God's Freedom To Love Revisited

Some object that if libertarian free will is required for human beings to love truly, then wouldn't that undermine God's love. After all, God is love by nature (1 John 4:8) because love is a moral value and if God were not loving, God would not be good. But God cannot choose to not be good, ergo he cannot choose to not be loving, ergo He cannot choose whether or not He loves us. In that case, a reductio ad absurdum argument is lodged against the Argument For Free Will From Love. If we say fre...

Responding to Sam Burke's Argument That Christianity Entails Anti-Natalism

In the comment section of one of the posts on the Cerebral Faith facebook page, Sam Burke commented "If I found out Christianity was true, I would do everything in my power to stop people from having kids so that more people don't go to Hell. According to Matthew 7:13 only a few people will find the way to Heaven. Almost everyone who is born will end up being burned in eternal conscious pain for eternity according to the Bible. A trillion years and the person will not be a second closer to be...

What Is Soft Libertarian Free Will?

Today, I'm going to write a pretty short article explaining what Soft Libertarian Free Will is. Tim Stratton called it "Limited Libertarian Free Will", but in his book Salvation and Sovereignty: A Molinist Approach, Kenneth Keathley calls it "Soft Libertarian Free Will". But as William Shakespeare said; "A rose by another name is just as sweet." Now, in this article, I'm not going to be giving any arguments for libertarian free will, bashing determinism, or anything of that sort. This bl...

Q&A: A Question About Jesus' Resurrection and Feedback On The Moral Argument Debate

I have a question regarding Paulogias recent video on the resurrection. How would you go about responding to it? I have some critiques of my own but wanted some different opinions.
For instance I felt that he didn’t really explain all the data (like the appearances in 1 cor 15, the empty tomb, the origin of the belief etc)
And he would just dismiss it as myth written later. And some other points as well (like how Peter would not conclude that Jesus rose, because they did not have that vi...
