If Idol Can Do It Then By-God So Can the States!

If Washington can’t clean up its act on its own maybe it is time we do it for them.
I am not sure about anyone else but I am tired of my elected officials promising to clean up DC only to arrive there and have it business as usual. To me it appears that political morals and ethics have gone in the worse direction then even the Atheist desire for our prideful slogan “One nation under God.” Could all this Corporate Downfall and all the politicians connected to it be a sign that it is time for US, t

Now Who is Paying For This?

Today I gave my good friend Michael a ride to the airport. Michael and I should learn not to talk politics, cause although we agree on some, we disagree on many views. Anyway, on the ride down to the city Michael advised me that he got a call from President Obama yesterday.
You did? I questioned.
Well, not really the president himself, someone working for him.
What did he want? I asked.
The gentleman told Mike that the president needed his help. President Obama needed money to hire lobbyist to help

For the Record: Let me Clarify

For the record and for those that must know, I didn’t have such a high opinion of Bush Jr. Given what happened, took place during his terms, I did feel safe under his leadership. Maybe I am a bit naive, yet having the “don’t mess with Texas” kind of leadership after 911, despite the organization of Homeland Security, the Patriot act and the spending (to name only a few)… I got it. What I mean by I got it is logically and strategically I understood what he was doing. It wasn’t that I fully agreed

Pull up Your Britches America: Toxic Legacy

I am old enough to have seen many things happen in the US. I grew up in a record time in this country; The Kennedy’s, Martin Luther King and civil rights, No Nukes, Viet Nam, Charles Manson, Free Love, Woman’s rights, Woodstock to name a few. On some of those occasions I felt the world stand still… literally, some events silenced the nation in sync… While other events made the nation roar with signs and, for the most part, peaceful demonstrations: albeit, to be met with fire hoses and tear gas.

Farg–”O”

Has anyone else grown perturbed in the past several weeks when they caught a glimpse at the US Presidents speeches?.. I say caught a glimpse because quite frankly, shortly after he begins to speak I must change the channel; I have a hard time believing anything that comes out of his mouth and his ego is reprehensible to me… In the past few weeks, in all the speeches I have caught (and lets face it they are plentiful, this president loves to hear himself talk while the cameras are rolling more th

Truly Fed Up

It coddles my heart to see Mrs. O splashed on the cover of every major rag wearing Gucci, Dior; while I struggle to find “change” to give to the homeless guy.
