Ah, as business owners we would rejoice!

Yesterday I got caught up on about 80% of all that fell behind. Mid afternoon I was able to break for some of that leftover homemade chicken noodle soup I made the evening before. mmmm, it was good. The afternoon to early evening was spent catching up on insurance clients neglected. . . and surprisingly a few of them were unfortunately where I had been last week; ewww, I could empathize. As the clock clicked by my mind was drawn to the fresh veggies lying wait in my fridge that I purchased...

We could register beep-beep!

I am sure everyone has heard of ACORN by now. For those that may not know ACORN is an abbreviation for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

For some who watch only the main stream media you had probably heard of those awful documentary folks who "illegally" went undercover on an apparent sting. According to Bertha Lewis, ACORN CEO, the two 20-something kids that masqueraded as a pimp and underage whore were merely Fox implants set out to destroy the good reputation of the...

Missing them…

I snapped hard at Shawn and Indie last night. Something I haven't done to anyone in a very long time.

Yesterday was the first day in almost a week I could drag my sorry behind out of bed and the first day in three where I dared eat. Although still a bit weak I felt well enough to try to hit the grocery stores, first Henry's for all the important stuff, than Albertson's for everything I could not find at Henry's. . . maybe down the coast to check the mail I had been unable to get for a week.

I s...

I know, I suck, sorry.

Okay, Okay, Okay; Sorry, Sorry, Sorry.

For all the folks that have sent in notes and such, "Hey Barbara? Are you okay? I am missing your posts."

First, how sweet is that?… some could question, How scary is that?

Let me share what happened, quickly, so I can get back to bed. Okay?

Saturday when I woke up, it was indeed just another day… yet the day was off, because all of a sudden (what appeared all of a sudden, literally overnight) it was blinking freezing in California. Me, who usually sleeps...

F***'em all I say… oh and an update on Courage of Fear promo

Santa Anna's have hit California. Yes that means it is the very high risk fire season time. It also means, for us everyday folks, it is hot, sometimes a bit windy, and mostly dry dry dry. It is the kind of dry where you can picture yourself taking out the q-tip and dipping it in Vaseline to sooth the inside of your nose dry. It is the time of year when some fool with some "look at me but you don't know it is me" condition gets the hair brained idea/urge to spark a flame somewhere out in the o...

To hopefully answer some of your questions from yesterday…

It's all about being real, is it not?

Before I start today, I want to share something with all of you. For those that have taken the time to read the "its all about me" tab on my website… you get the lengths I have traveled in my writing journey; the planning and then writing of my first screenplay, the letting go of all personal possessions, the long drive, forcing myself to find and meet like minded folks, risking and engaging to be fully present to make this dream come about, the acting...

Within each of us… Choices

What have I been going through lately? Why is change so hard? Am I doing it "right"?

If you have read Courage of Fear and/or have been reading my blog you have probably gotten a hint that I believe all things happen for a reason, which btw, I do. In addition if you have read Angela's story in Courage of Fear and/or have been reading my blog you probably also surmise that I believe that God doesn't allow bad things to happen to good people; free will takes precedence over all things and as...

You and me and the journey

So, yesterday's blog seemed to be a big hit (literally increased traffic) so I surmise many women must have related. Two people who write books on dating even tagged the blog… which I don't quite understand. I mean I think I was very specific in my share stating I suck at relationships. Why would a dating/relationship guru use such a blog as a "relating site" to get a date? The world has gone mad. Remind me never to buy those two persons books to learn what I have done wrong all these years, ...

Women relate… guys, I don't need a date!

This weekend was the same as many others. Yes, indeed, toilet, sheets, vacuum, yadda yadda. Such an exciting life. One day, I hope and pray to be ahead of the financial quagmire to be able to at least hit a museum!…

…and if everyone that reads this blog just went out and purchased one copy of Courage of Fear I may just have that weekend. I could even put on one of those evening gowns I purchased years back and go to one of my most favorite things in the world, hit the opera… oh, how I miss...

Angela Hearly-Peterson has written an inspirational best-selling book, Wrestling With the Demons.

At least she did—within Courage of Fear by Barbara Boyer! I don't think I've read another book quite like this—it's truly unique. I love unique… This book is probably listed under the romance genre, but it is

Angela Hearly-Peterson has written an...
