Hi Leif:

Yes this is my first book. It is something I have been working on over the last couple of years. I was motivated to write it because I love reading books and wanted to give it a go at writing one, and I experienced a lot of funny things while learning the ropes of being a stay at home dad. I hope to write more books and see where the adventure takes me. Thanks for entering the contest. I hope you enjoy Daddy 3.0: A Comedy of Errors. Take care.(less)

When you don't feel the creative juice its best to not write, but if you do it long enough you lose energy for the project and stale writing is the result. Chicken and the egg situation. My suggestion is to give yourself a set time - 20 to 30 minutes - and just write anything. Avoid the inner editor telling you its not good. If your creative energy is not coming that day after the time you set aside, just stop. Another suggestion is to use the time when your not writing to flesh out an idea or plot element in your head so that by the time you get to the "typewriter" your ready to jump through the gate and write. Again, tricky situation to overcome.(less)

“I need a partner. I need somebody who is not always thinking about what feels good for them at that moment. Most of life is the boring, hard work between big events.”
Rob Armstrong, Daddy 3.0: A Comedy of Errors

“Flap books are the second worst book to read to a group. The worst are books that play sound effects to go along with the text. The whole time you’re reading, the children are squabbling every second over who gets to push the button for the crashing cymbals. With flap books, the big problem is trying to stop the kids from tearing the flap right out of the book. It helps to have tape handy. After”
Rob Armstrong, Daddy 3.0: A Comedy of Errors

“Fortunately, since I was a guy, I’d be forgiven for not knowing the rules of park etiquette. Stay-at-home dads get a lot of free passes in the world of moms. Good”
