MAGE SLAVE Playlist

These were some of the songs I listened to for inspiration and to get in the right mindset to write the same story and feeling over the weeks and months it takes to write a novel. Music has always been a huge inspiration for me. It’s like emotions in a bottle, mini-moments that are the perfect inspiration for feelings, relationships, and scenes.

Behind the scenes of MAGE SLAVE

Here’s a little bit about the work that went into my debut novel.

I startedMage Slave as a Nanowrimo all the way back in 2010. Nanowrimo was huge for helping me learn to quiet my inner editor, but I didn’t “win.” I got to 33K at a rapid clip, but when I realized I was about 33% of the way through my novel, and that it would take me until likely January to really finish, I lost momentum. I did continue to push on though with some good habits I’d built up during Nano and finished in February.

I just love these so much. They’re like nothing I’ve read before, in the best possible way. Great series so far! I can’t wait to basically devour Lindsay’s entire catalog, starting with Star Nomad next.
