Tragedy in Aurora Colorado
For those who have seen the news, you will know by now that last night at the premiere of the new Batman movie, a senseless tragedy took place at a cinema in Aurora Colorado
My heart sincerely goes out to the family and friends of those who were lost in last night tragedy.
What happened last night was a senseless act of violence carried out by James Holmes. For his actions, he deserves no less than the death penalty. No one has the right to take the lives of others, including when that violence extends to the murder of a baby.
I do believe strongly that a complete reform of US gun laws needs to come into effect to help prevent such horrific circumstances happening in the future.
More details on the violence last night can be read here.

Funny letter from Ronald Reagan
This is hilarious…
An amusing letter from former President Ronald Reagan in response to a 13-year-old boy’s request for disaster relief funds to clean up his room is making the rounds again on social media, thanks to a blog writer.
Shaun Usher of Letters of Note tweeted the classic correspondence. Seventh-grader Andy Smith from Irmo, South Carolina, wrote Reagan in 1984: “Today my mother declared my bedroom a disaster area. I would like to request federal funds to hire a crew to clean up my room.”
Reagan’s reply:
Dear Andy:
I’m sorry to be so late in answering your letter but as you know I’ve been in China and found your letter here upon my return.
Your application for disaster relief has been duly noted but I must point out one technical problem; the authority declaring the disaster is supposed to make the request. In this case your mother.
However setting that aside I’ll have to point out the larger problem of available funds. This has been a year of disasters, 539 hurricanes as of May 4th and several more since, numerous floods, forest fires, drought in Texas and a number of earthquakes. What I’m getting at is that funds are dangerously low.
May I make a suggestion? This administration, believing that government has done many things that could better be done by volunteers at the local level, has sponsored a Private Sector Initiative program, calling upon people to practice voluntarism in the solving of a number of local problems.
Your situation appears to be a natural. I’m sure your mother was fully justified in proclaiming your room a disaster. Therefore you are in an excellent position to launch another volunteer program to go along with the more than 3,000 already underway in our nation—congratulations.
Give my best regards to your mother.
Sincerely, Ronald Reagan
—From Reagan: A Life in Letters
The tweet has been viewed 189,500 times in the past few days. It is unknown if the letter remedied the situation.

NOTICE TO ALL HATERS
It seems that once again my name is being associated with one Ramona Rai/Susan Heisler. Let me make this absolutely crystal clear for all you dropkicks…. I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH HER, NOR DO I APPRECIATE MY NAME BEING TIED TO HER, OR BEING SO-REFERENCED TO HER AS "GOOD FRIEND". Ramona came to me when I had a project listed for a PR Person on Guru.com, as she stated she could do PR work for my books. She took on a production as she also stated she could promote it and create publicity. None of which she did and was removed from such projects. I am in NO WAY her "best bud", her BFF or anything else for that matter.
IS that making it clear enough Now????

Big Rock Star…American Idol….. Maybe
Could I get on American Idol with this original song? You be the judge:
I sit alone in this solemn place
Feelin' like a man isolated in space.
The times we had I 'member we had,
all the good, the shit, 'n' the bad…
The turmoil of this, of bein' apart,
is like waves beating against the shore of my heart…
Stranded on this island, so desolate of life
You were my one, my only, my reason, my wife.
Tears of oceans I have wept so much for thee,
If only you were here just to see the shell of me,
Come back for I cannot live with you,
My desire, my passion, you know I can't live without you..
Chorus:
Baby there's nothing that matters but you,
For me my heart and love is true
I cant live with this distance apart
Wish we could take this to when we were innocent at the start
Many other have always come my way,
But they had never held anything, come what may…
You are the one I need, today now and forever,
Apart from me please ever say never.
I need you more than my words can say
how do I keep these demons of torture at bay…
They drive us apart with things so cruel
My desire for you will only be added fuel
I need you, this I tell my love
For you are a gift from God above
You are my purpose, my reason
and together shall we be in a season…
You are all I need, my flame
The reason this torture drives me insane..
Gives me a thousand breaths, or even one more
You have the key to unlock this door
Chorus:
Baby there's nothing that matters but you,
For me my heart and love is true
I cant live with this distance apart
Wish we could take this to when we were innocent at the start
Without the pressure, without the hurt
But that cant be without the dirt.
We have strived too much, too hard
we have gone the whole 10 yards
You have to know by know I love you true
Without you baby I am so blue
Don't doubt us now, we will survive
Our love with endure like a flourishing beehive…
Chorus:
Baby there's nothing that matters but you,
For me my heart and love is true
I cant live with this distance apart
Wish we could take this to when we were innocent at the start ….

Get Anna Back to Australia
Join the group on Facebook and let your voice be heard:
http://www.facebook.com/groups/137959922991371
My friends. It is a disturbing thing that when the powers that be (in this case, the Dept Of Immigration), have the authority to tear apart a family without proper justification and put it down to "policy".
After a 12 year hiatus, I came to Australia with my wife, for the purpose to build a life in Australia. After all, Australia is "supposed" to be called "The Lucky Country", and the "Country of hope". Yet, when dealing with the DIAC, we have found that it is anything "BUT" a land of "freedom and equality" for all.
Anna and I have been married for 4 years now. In every country, our marriage is legal and valid. We even have a son together who is almost 3 years old.
We came here in February 2011, with the hopes and dreams to start a real life together, a life of purpose, and to make a plan for the future.
Yet, those dreams were quickly turned to poison as I will explain.
In 2010, we applied for Anna's visa. We were given a 12 month tourist visa which was promptlt stamped with the 676 No Further Stay condition. A condition which seems to apply to such countries that are deemed "high risk". But, according to some, that could be waivered based on thr fact as have been married for some years AND have a son who IS an Australian citizen.
All these facts were presented to to DIAC office in the Brisbane City office, where we were told that the Team Leader "Shaun" would be handling the case. We lodged the paperwork for the visa waiver condition on October 7th.
For months we waited. In December we called the DIAC to find out what was going on, only to be informed that "due to the difficulties with people applying for same visa from Thailand (due to the floods) we would need to wait for an answer". Okay, so people in Thailand got their waiver condition waivered because of floods. That in understandable, but then we heard nothing again…
Until Monday Feb 6th when we called them again. This time we found out they made a decision.
The decision they made was a denial in her visa waiver. Much to the shock of many people. But hang on, doesn't the fact that we have been married for 4 years AND have a son together mean anything? Apparently NOT according to the DIAC.
We spoke to whoever the head guy in Cairns was who made the decision (love to know WHY they made the decision there when Cairns IS NOT Brisbane Jurisdiction).
We sought advice from lawyers and migration agents, we even called Chris Bowen's office in Canberra, but nothing can be done. According to everyone, Anna has to leave the country, sit in Russia and HOPE that they will grant her a Permanent Partner Visa.
Bureaucratic BS if you ask me, yet they allow people in the country by the boatload who CANNOT even speak English! Where is the justification in that?
Never mind the fact that Anna can speak 3 languages fluently, HAS been married to an Australian for 4 years AND forget the fact that she is the MOTHER of an Australian citizen.
Where is all the Proclamations NOW of "Lucky Country"?
"Lucky Country"? Yeah, for WHO?
I would encourage ALL of you to write in to Chris Bowen and Julia Gillard to overturn this decision. IF enough people scream loud enough about this, the politicians will have NO CHOICE but to listen to the people.
Spread the word, as the Australian Govt has NO RIGHT to tear this family apart all because of "Policies".
We are not asking you for financial contribution. We ARE asking you to help take a STAND against DIAC flawed "policies" and those who enforce such rules.
