HARVEST MOON FRIDAY 13 SKYCLAD
FRIDAY THE 13TH HARVEST MOONMAGIC - RECONNECTING - PURPOSE

They were tortured and later burned at the stake. I believe it's easy to say it was the great wealth of the Templars that led to their deaths.
In what way have you suffered consequences from being unfairly judged? Today, stand up for your self, whether that be out loud or by pulling away from those who injured you emotionally, psychically and/or mentally. Find a quiet or joyful place or person or animal to hang out with to return to your true self.
Luck: I've always said I'm a lucky person. Make this 13th Friday a lucky day for yourself. Luck is about timing, knowledge, belief in your dream or goal and bravery to act. Carry a Lucky Charm - that something you think or believe gives you a bit of luck.

PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS WITH FACTS.
RESEARCH FOR FACTS of PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS
When I'm part of a paranormal investigation I always asked not to be given any history or if any past investigations findings.
I leave the research to the producer and her team.
In my book, How to Talk With Sprits: Seances, Mediums, Ghost Hunts , I encourage readers to keep a healthy skepticism with an open mind and research for facts.
Research of the past isn't easy. It takes hours of looking for records and those weren't kept as they are today - computerized.
But the producer of the Haunted Bay Paranormal Investigations methodically gets as many facts as she can though visiting the main library (yes, going through written, documented records in books and old newspaper stories) and also the internet.
In one of my latest investigations I got the confirmation right there from the owner of the site. Unfortunately, this part was cut from the video: In one room I connected with a spirit named Barbara and when I asked the owner he said Wow! That was a woman who believed what we were doing here (the space where a business is conducted.) She left us money to continue when we were low on funds.
It's good to get confirmation. If you're going to visit a medium or are part of a seance, make sure when you ask about a spirit that you have your facts in order.

CHARACTERS + DIALOGUE = GOOD STORIES
Today during a radio interview (link below) we talked about my four books with a focus on the fictional two and their strong characters, which readers have given thumbs up to along with the stories dialogue.
For many if not all, the characters writers create are not just imaginary people, they are real. Writers know everything about them and at times as the story moves on new aspects develop even surprising the writer.
Creating each character was a pure joy to my imagination, using a few people I've met over a life time and at times mixed and matched personalities and characteristics morphing them into one character in the story.
Think of some characters you've met in life. Why would you describe them as "a real character"? What made them memorable? How they spoke? Dressed? Wore their hair? What? Take note - you might at some time describe that character to another.
In the The Skye in June the father, Jimmy MacDonald, is a hardworking, hard drinking dour man, husband and father to all girls. He dominates his family and in return they find ways to deter his control. Readers' reviews comment how they could hear Jimmy bellow and the girls plot how to get rid of their father.
A feather in my cap: "Skye" was also chosen for a college class talk (read below Amazon review.)
In my second novel, City of Redemption, you'll meet a Toni, a smart, gutsy woman in love with her Black Panther man, Bobby, a rather brooding, serious man. Toni's studying to be a lawyer while taking a role in the Panther's cause. A noble woman with deep value for the legal system. She's loyal to those who gain her trust like Liz the stories protagonist. Now there's a complicated woman.

As a historian and women's studies professor, I often look for books that my students
might enjoy.
I finished this novel yesterday and used it as a jump off point in class today when
discussing witchcraft.
The story is multi-faceted with many threads for different type of readers. You have
the classic immigrant tale of coming to America. Or you can enjoy the context of a
Scottish Catholic family in San Francisco in the 1950s. You have a story of a seriously
dysfunctional family, an abusive father and a depressed mother and how the children
learn to cope.
You have a wonderful story of sisterhood and the constant struggle to create those
bonds even in early childhood. And then there is the story of June, the center of the
novel. June, from her earliest years, was different from her siblings.
She saw and heard things, strange ethereal things. Originally cast off as a child's
wild imagination, her behavior created serious problems with her family, her faith,
and ultimately within herself.

Even if you don't want to publish (that's a whole other story) you have a story to tell, to share.
Here's a few suggestions.
• Find an important time in your life. A particular event that had an impact upon you - good, bad or ugly - something that added to who you are today,
• Talk it out loud with real emotions.

• Tell it again - think you're telling the story to an audience of any size you imagine.
• Are you ready to say it a third time? While telling it, record your story.
• Listen back. How does your story sound? Is it impactful? Humorous? Enticing? Clear?
How do you feel listening to it? Do you think another could relate? Want to hear your story?
• Ready to write it? If you found words you stumbled over, weren't true expressions of your emotions, find words either in other books, or perhaps another has voiced. Remember, your story is a picture created through your words.

DYING TO SHARE NDE: NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE
How'd you feel being rejected at the Pearly Gates and sent back to life on Earth?
When I had my near death experience (NDE) people just didn't talk about such "stranger than life" things.
I was in a series auto accident and died in the ambulance. I didn't talk about it for many years.
How can you tell people you went to heaven?
Although, there's a lot of stories about near death experiences NDE it's much more acceptable with more scientific studies and interest from those who have had such experiences and those interested in hearing about them.
What prompted me to write about NDE today was for two reasons: 1) I came across a story about a woman's story of dying, seeing the "other side" and returning.
2) recently I've been asked to share my story for a group, IANDS, which studies and sponsors on talks.
What would I share that would be of interest? I've thought about that. When interviewed to be a possible speaker I was asked if I saw a light at the end of a tunnel. No. But, I did enter into a field of brilliant white light surrounding dead relatives. Only, I didn't get to stay.
Boo hoo. But I did come back with a mission from this incredibly beautiful and peaceful, which I describe it in my book,
"How to Talk With Spirits: Mediums, Seances, Ghost Hunts."After being waved away from the gates (really a fence) I awoke in the hospital and had a long road to physically and emotionally recover. I tucked my heavenly visit to the back of my mind. In a short time strange things began to happen in my life. Like knowing personal information about people I never met or in any way knew about.
Who am I now?
Still, with this new found interest it took more years to realize why I was sent back -what's my mission.
Mission purpose #1: Do some good for others. This led me to a career I'd never even thought of. Happily, I've been told numerous times I've completed that mission of assisting others to live in the light of themselves.

ARE YOU A WITCH?

Would you be a person who'd do well as a witch?
My Catholic niece told me that her six-year old daughter declared herself a witch. Luckily my niece is not judgmental about her witch aunts of which I am happily one. She asked if I could teach her daughter the craft because she trusts that I would do so wisely with harm to none.
You might wonder, how do you know if you're a witch?
Sometimes, like this youngster, you just know it. Maybe from a past life connection.
Or, you're drawn to witchcraft because of a love of the beautiful force of nature And then again, you might enjoy the magical qualities of witchcraft; the candles, incense, spells and even the hat.
For me as a sensitive (a psychic/medium) it’s the spirituality and the magic of creating and manifesting my dreams into goals.

When I wrote my first book, A Professional Psychic Reading as Alternative Counseling (retitled, The Timeless Counselor she gave it a blurb. She'd have loved my latest book, How to Talk With Spirits (see below_ because she communicated with her son, Rocky, and later her son, Josh who I visited before his death upon Rusty's instance to help him cross over.She became my friend in the 1980s when I met her at a viewing of Louis Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life" video at Rusty's San Francisco home.
We shared an astrology sign, Gemini, and that we were - Geminis to the fullest! Talkative, daring, outgoing, and a bit crazy. Also, we had a true spiritual connection.
Cher portrayed her in the movie, "Mask" and don't even think Cher caught the true toughness and charm of the real Rusty.
We share a great interest in the metaphysics,.
Rusty was very interested in my psychic readings and classes that she took them all! Tarot, ESP Development Beginners and Advanced plus others.
