Demon within
A demon lives among us all, deep within our soul
But it can only grow if we let it take control
It starts out small, but it spreads ever so fast
It's destruction a bit similar to an atomic blast
The black cloud of smoke will show no mercy for you
As you hold your breath and try to push through
It seeps into the pores, seeking and it shall find
One simple, but clever task to wield even the strongest mind
Forcing you down, forcing you to retreat
Lingering for eternity in the wake of your defeat
This demon has many names and feeds on pain and tears
Dream-killer some call it, but it's mostly known as Fear.

Barnes and Noble
Update:
The Faewitch signing at Bfest Barnes and Noble-Chattanooga Tennessee went amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was really a joy to meet new people and talk about my book. It was fun to watch the excitement on their faces and I'm sure they could see it on mine as well. The atmosphere was incredible! I'm looking forward to visiting more Barnes and Noble establishments in the future. I hope you all are enjoying The Faewitch and are looking forward to Ancient Blood when it arrives. I'll keep you posted on things to come. It's an exciting time and I'm loving every minute! Keep those comments coming. I love hearing your thoughts and as always thanks a million!

What's next?
Hey all!
I just want to update you all on what is next after The Faewitch. I am enjoying all of the comments on Book 1 of The Faewitch Series! It has been an awesome journey so far, but it isn't over yet. Next up is Ancient Blood and I am super excited to bring it to you soon. If you haven't yet read The Faewitch you can get it now on amazon.
Ancient Blood (Book 2) takes Sophie and her friends on yet another adventure with even more dangerous and devious characters. There is a new monster in town who threatens their world and only Sophie and her friends can stop it. With even more tragedy in store for Sophie, she must be strong because she is in for the fight of her life.

Poetry
One of my favorite shows is about to go off the air. Teen Wolf has met everything I look for in a show so I wanted to give tribute to one of my favorite characters, the Banshee. Enjoy.
She walks alone in her mind waiting for a sign
Something to tell her that they are running out of time
She walks alone in her mind where its dark and bleak
Her red hair blows in the wind and death is what she seeks
She sees the darkness rise and as it grows higher
She begins to wail because she is the lonely crier.

Poetry
Just wanted to share a poem I recently wrote. You can view it and other works in the community creative writing section. I hope you all enjoy.
Gaze Upon the Mirror
As thou gaze upon the mirror, what thine eyes doth see
But a fiery hunger growing deep within thee
Yet humanity is a devil at times vial and cruel
In turn can form any dreamer into a bumbling fool
Vowing to cease pain and all thy suffering
Heartbreak seems more convenient for thee to bring
Misery seems to be, as far as thou can tell
Appetizer of choice, though 'tis tasting stale
As thou witness humanity's worst
Thou pray for a soul seemingly cursed
As the light breaks thy mind can finally rest
Thou hast forgotten of humanity's best
For thy soul is thine own and for none other to take
Till death thou shall reign, but thou shall not forsake
Thy will to love above all measure
To welcome compassion upon its leisure
Can it stand to reason humanity shall prevail
Can it stand to reason a fool is doomed to fail
Thou would say failure is obsolete
And thou shall not accommodate defeat
For such a word cannot be

Thou will is too strong for another to fathom
Even too strong for thou to imagine
Take heart, thou will take a breath to dream beyond the sea
And upon that moment the stars align, they shall move aside for thee

Being an Author
Being an author is all about emotions and expression for me. It's a little bit scary, actually. You are putting yourself out there for everyone to see. I think that sums it up for most everyone in the entertainment industry. We are all artists of expression. Whether it's the publishing industry, film and television industry, or music and theater industries, we all have the same goal. We all want to tell a story and tell it well.
When that last line is read in a script, book, or song I want whoever is reading it or hearing it for the first time to be left in awe from the words. I want to bring emotion out of them that they never knew they had. I want them to laugh, cry, and feel an overwhelming sense of love they have never felt before. When they are done, I want them to say, "Damn, I need more." If I can accomplish that...I think I have done pretty good. Words are my passion because they are so powerful. Being an author to me means power of expression and emotion and letting that power show through words.
