New York Comic Con 2011

I am attending New York Comic Con this weekend! However, I will not have a table. I do have a couple of appearances lined up, and I will be at the Top Shelf booth 1833 (with copies of Gingerbread Girl!) on an occasional basis, though we haven't set up a schedule for that (–yet! Check my Twitter for updates!)

My scheduled appearances are as follows:

SATURDAY, 4:30-5:30: signing Jim Henson's The Storyteller with Nate Cosby and Chris Eliopoulos. ARCHAIA BOOTH 1546

SUNDAY, 11:15-12:15: MARVEL "Women Of Marvel" panel. ROOM 1A22

Check back for further updates!

I Ain't Ashamed: Marvel's Shame Itself

I've been working with Daily Show writers Elliott Kalan and Wyatt Cenac on humor shorts in Shame Itself, coming to stores November 2.

Wyatt talks about the book here, and Elliott talks about it here!

Meanwhile, Elliott has a grassroots campaign going to get Andy Rooney's old job. [VIDEO] He's even got a petition. I think it's a worthy cause.

Monday Fan Art: Adrien English Mysteries

Digital art in Photoshop. I've been playing around with cover design, so for practice (and for fun!) I've done these fan art designs for the first two novels of the Adrien English Mystery series by author Josh Lanyon.

Gingerbread Girl at Discount Price During Top Shelf Sale

For a limited time, the hit indie graphic novel Gingerbread Girl by Paul Tobin And Colleen Coover is on sale for $10.00 (reg. 12.95) from Top Shelf Productions, along with huge savings on the rest of their catalog!

For the next two weeks — thru Friday September 23th — Top Shelf is having a giant $3 web sale.

When you visit the site, you'll find 175 graphic novels and comics on sale — with over 100 titles marked down to just $3 & $1! To help us continue doing what we do, please participate in this sale. With the economy as it's been, it's getting harder and harder to keep publishing such quality material. But if enough people participate, we'll be able to finish paying for this year's amazing releases, and "kick start" a full rollout for next year. Thanks in advance for your support (as the comics community IS the best community)!
