5 Star Amazon Review: “Amazing Series: Oh my gosh I LOVE this series! This is the second book in the Dirty Angels MC series and as much as I liked Zak’s book, and I really, really liked Zak’s book, I think I like Jag’s even better. Jag is a total trip, the man is super sexy and annoyingly alpha, but he’s also sweet and hilariously funny when it comes to Ivy…she definitely pushes ALL his buttons.”
Blurb:
Welcome to Shadow Valley where the Dirty Angels MC rules. Get ready to get Down & Dirty because this is Jag’s story…
The only thing Jag, DAMC Road Captain, loves more than his custom bike is Ivy. He’s wanted her ever since he could remember. However, through the years, he’s had to watch her date anyone but him since she avoids dating bikers like the plague. Instead, she gravitates toward the complete opposite: geeks and nerds. Something Jag will never be.
Smart and independent, Ivy wants to be the property of no man. Growing up in the club, she knows firsthand how they treat women. She regrets the mistake she made by dragging Jag upstairs to his room at the club one drunken night. Ever since then, she’s been doing her best to keep him at arm’s length, though it’s proven difficult. Especially when she finds out his secret, which only endears her to him even more.
Between secrets, lies, and a violent tangle with a rival club, can these two passionate hot-heads find the love and solace they’re looking for in each other’s arms? Or will everything just tumble down around them?
Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, biker slang, cursing, some violence and, of course, an HEA. If you like alpha males who like to take charge, this book is for you.
Excerpt:
He was going to kill the bitch.
Jag pounded on the door. Again.
She was pushing him to his limit. And that was not good.
For him.
For her.
For the human race in general.
“Fuckin’ open the door or I’ll bust the fuckin’ thing in, got me?”
He was going to knock politely only one more time, then that was it.
He politely kicked the door with his heavy biker boot. That was going to leave a mark.
“If you don’t open this fuckin’ door right—”
The door jerked open and something—or someone—tried to fly by him.
Jag reached out a hand and snagged the fleeing body. With a grip around a skinny bicep, the guy came to a screeching halt.
Jag flung him around to face him. He scowled. “Who the fuck are you?”
The already pale guy turned sheet white. With eyes wide, mouth open, he had a discarded shirt bunched in his fist and his pants hung loosely around his hips, since he apparently hadn’t taken the time to finish fastening them before the man decided to jet.
Which was a smart move. But then, Ivy tended to pick smart dudes. Though, they never hung around long. Geeky dudes and a biker babe don’t mix no matter how many times she tries.
And he got it, he really did. Ivy was smart herself. Genius even. And she needed a challenge.
Other than becoming a biker’s ol’ lady. Or his ol’ lady, more like it.
Jag looked down at the guy’s bare feet. It seemed he forgot his fucking shoes in his haste.
Stupid fuck. Maybe he wasn’t so smart after all.
“You touch Dirty Angels property?”
The guy’s mouth opened and closed like a guppy as he stared up at Jag, who towered over him by at least five inches.
“Asked a damn question. Did you—”
“Get gone, Jag.”
His eyes slid to the woman now standing in the doorway, holding out a pair of loafers with socks tucked into them. The one wearing a fucking robe and probably nothing else.
The guy’s eyes dropped to his offered shoes, then he snagged them and clasped them to his chest as if they were a lifeline.
“Get in the house. Deal with you shortly.”
“The hell you will. Get gone, Jag.”
His head twisted in her direction and he took his time inspecting her from top to toe. That fucking deep red hair of hers spilled around her shoulders, clearly messed up from a fresh fuck, which he hoped he’d interrupted. Because if anyone should be in her bed, it should be him.
Her lips were swollen and pouty. Goddamn, if she had those lips around this nerd’s cock, his brain would explode. Her green eyes snapped in anger.
Whatever. She could be mad all she wanted. He was just as pissed. No, more.
“Who I fuck is none of your damn business,” came out of that smart mouth.
He gritted his teeth before answering. “The fuck it isn’t. Anything to do with DAMC property is my business.”
Especially after she climbed into his bed all those months ago.
“Well, I’m not DAMC property. So GET GONE!”
Jag released the now very scared guy with a shove. He stumbled, caught his balance on the veranda railing, then ran down the metal stairs, taking two at a time. Like a scared mouse, he sprinted toward a car parked on the street.
He should’ve known the guy drove a fucking Prius. He should’ve slashed the geek-mobile’s tires for dipping his dick in DAMC property.
“Fucker doesn’t even ride a bike. You’ve got shit taste in lays, Ivy.”
“Don’t I know it,” she muttered, making Jag’s jaw tighten.
“Don’t come back here,” Jag yelled his warning through the dark to the guy scrambling into his car like his ass was on fire. “If you know what’s good for ya,” he finished under his breath. He turned back to face the pissed-off redhead dressed in black silk that hugged all her damn curves. His balls tightened as hard as his jaw. “Probably needs a dick extension to fuck you.”
“I don’t know if that’s an insult to me or to him. Either way, you don’t belong here, Jag. So, I’ll say it again, get gone.”
“Not leavin’.”
Ivy lifted a shoulder. “Okay then. You’ll be standing out here all night while I’m sleeping soundly in my bed. Thanks to you, alone. Normally, I’d say good night, but… fuck you.”
The door slammed shut and Jag heard the deadbolt click. He grimaced and stared at the door.
Little did she know that her uncle, Ace, had given him the key.
He grinned, turned on his heel and jogged down the steps to where his bike was parked at the foot of the stairway in the pawn shop lot.
She may not let him in, but his mission was accomplished. He chased away Ivy’s latest conquest.
And he’d keep doing it until she got some sense and realized everything she needed has been right in front of her all along.
He put his girl between his legs, hit her starter and closed his eyes for a moment, surrounded by the smooth rumble of his straight exhaust pipes.
His bike was everything to him. The only thing he wanted more between his legs was Ivy.
The only thing he loved more than his bike was… fucking Ivy.
And she was a fucking bitch.

New Release: These Wounds Run Deep by Ember Leigh
All right, listen up, you guys!
Normally I just copy and paste new releases, but I have GOT to do an intro on this one. So, if you scroll through my blogs, I’ve interviewed Ember before. She and I go back a year or so, to when we began beta reading for each other. Her editorial skills are just out of this world, but more to the point, she is an incredible author! I had the pleasure of beta reading These Wounds Run Deep before it found a home with Loose Id Publishing, and let me tell you, this novel has everything; depth, humor, passion, love scenes that are sure to get you hot beneath the collar, and it’s a total, complete story. This is one novel I highly recommend! For all my faithful readers, Ember is surely one to follow. Her stories pack a punch, and she’s just amazing. Check it out!
Blurb: It’s been ten years since Zach Carter and his brothers hit it big and moved to L.A. Life in the fast lane was hard to explain to anyone who didn’t live it–so how could his best friend Ellie understand? Now that he’s returned to his hometown to deal with a crisis, the consequences have piled up around him. But what hasn’t changed is how bad he wants Ellie back in his arms.
A decade after high school graduation and Ellie has never been more content–until Zach Carter, her oldest friend, her first love, and the boy she lost her virginity to, walks back into her life after ten years without so much as a postcard. And one thing the tabloids couldn’t prepare her for was how much this man still makes her heart race.
Ellie is determined to prove to Zach that she’s moved on and doesn’t need him. Everyone important in her life has left her, including Zach, so why would this time be different? But there’s no way she can avoid him while he’s back in their hometown, fighting for her attention…and forgiveness. And her body won’t let her forget he’s in town, either.

Kay Blake’s New Release, Breathe You
Title: Breathe You (A Novelette)
Author: Kay Blake
Genre: Multicultural/Interracial Romance/Contemporary Romance
Synopsis
A marriage on the rocks and one weekend!
Bree met Mason when he saved her from what could have been an unfortunate situation. They became friends, lovers, and then husband and wife.
After being separated for almost a year, they take up the suggestion of their marriage counselor to go away together for the weekend to try and reconnect.
Can these two work out their issues, and save their marriage?
Excerpt
“I know you remember,” I said, brushing my lips against her and her breath came out strangled.
I knew it. I knew she felt what I did.
It couldn’t be helped. I wanted her badly. I wanted her and from the way her eyes clouded over, she did too. But her anger was stopping her.
“I also know if I kiss you right now, you would let me because you’re mine. Even when your lips say otherwise and even if you date someone else. Nobody would mean this much to you as I have. And in my heart, you will always belong with me.”
“That’s absolutely not true,” she stammered, but I knew it was.
I leaned my head in a bit, she lightly shook her head again and I pressed my lips to hers. She sighed, and I pried her lips open with my tongue wanting more of her and she gave in.
Her lips scorching with anger and something else and her hands grabbed the back of my head, fingers running through my hair and she pulled my head down.
As our lips locked with one another, time hadn’t seemed to change a thing. God, I wanted her. Almost needed her. I was sure of that.

Erica Lynn’s New Novelette Release, Gretel
Pre-Order NOW for only $0.99!
Goes live October 25th!
Kobo: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/gretel-3
Blurb:
This is the true account of Hansel and Gretel. Forget your silly, misguided tales of two siblings and a house of gingerbread and cakes. This is the story of what happens when love battles against lust. When the yearnings of the heart are forced to wage war against the base needs and desires we all possess. When the time comes to face who we really are. What we truly want. What we need.
A Warning: Their story should not be taken lightly, for we all toe the line between human and savage animal. We walk around in the light, hoping others don’t see the depravity lurking within, begging to be let free. So take a deep breath, set up your defenses, and slowly turn the page. I dare you.
**This is a dark and extremely explicit retelling of the classic fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. In this novelette, Hansel and Gretel are NOT brother and sister.**
Excerpt:
Gretel’s sleep was troubled, to say the least. She alternated between erotic dreams and consciousness, until she finally sighed in exhausted frustration.
The door opened and she felt a body lay down beside her. Something long and hard pressed against her bottom, and she couldn’t help but wiggle against it.
“Can’t sleep?”
“No. My head is filled with…strange things.”
“Oh really?” a large hand with rough, calloused fingers found its way inside her gown and down to her aching sex. A finger slipped between her lips, gently coaxing her slippery entrance. “What kind of strange things?”
Gretel arched her back as sensation rolled through her body. She’d never been touched there by anyone else, even she had only been brave enough to touch herself on a few occasions, but those didn’t compare to this. “I kept seeing you.” She turned her head to Tristen, and he returned her stare with a dangerous smile.
“What did you see?”
“I can’t say it.”
What did you see?
Gretel whimpered in frustration as he removed his hand from her sex, then ran his fingers, wet from her excitement, over her mouth.
Tell me.
You were inside me. Here. Gretel squeezed her eyes closed and concentrated on her dream. What she’d seen. What she’d heard. What she’d felt. Tristen nodded and as he slowly got to his knees, she realized he wasn’t wearing any clothes. She’d never seen a naked man before, and her mouth watered at the sight of his muscled body and thick, pulsing erection.
Get up.
Gretel got to her knees, just as he was, and waited.
Lift your arms.
She did as instructed, and he grabbed the hem of her gown and lifted it up and over her head. The cool air kissed her naked body, and her nipples hardened in response.
He tilted his head forward and caught one nipple in his mouth, swirling his tongue around the soft peak before closing his lips and sucking. He released it with a pop, then did the same to the other. Bend over.

Book Signing on November 4th and Projects Update
Hey, Everyone!
So, with the upcoming signing in a few weeks, I thought it would be a good time to fill you in on what’s going on. Please see the .pdf below with the info on my author signing event on November 4th at the Utah Viridian Events Center. You can also follow the event on Facebook if you’re planning on going:
Local Authors and You Facebook Event
I’ll have a table set up with all my paperback romances from Boroughs Publishing and Loose Id Publishing on sale for 40% off! I’ll also have some fun things like the book trailers and chocolate available. If you’re in the Utah area, please swing on by, I’d love to chat!
I also thought I should update what I’m working on. So, for those who don’t know, in addition to being a romance novelist, I also write across many genres, including science fiction. I do have a romance on the back burner that I plan to work on soon, but over the last few months, I’ve been writing a science fiction novel (which is not erotic, but has a central romance).
If you like sci-fi with a bit of romance and would be interested in following along with its progression from manuscript to publication, please feel free to follow me at the following social media links:
Twitter: https://twitter.com/haley_cavanagh
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/haleycavanaghbooks/
The novel is nearly complete, and I have plans to submit it to some prominent publishers. Here’s a teaser and some beautiful character artwork by Bianca Duarte, who also did artwork for my Costa Mesa Series. Enjoy, and I hope to see you all at the book signing!
Premise: A young chief medical officer aboard a science exploration vessel in the future must work to unravel the mystery of a humanoid alien she discovers adrift in space.
Alistair came on over the speaker. “The telemetry from his X-ray and thermal scan readout are out of this world, Sakota. His plasma count is through the roof. I’m seeing sacs where there shouldn’t be sacs and extra musculature walls where there should be protective adipose tissue. I’d like to examine him without the suit, but I’ll take what we can get for now. This is unreal.”
“You’re telling me. So, he’s not an android?”
“Doesn’t look like it. Unless he’s somehow engineered to have two synthetic hearts. The Captain’s here from the bridge, Sakota. She’d like a word when you’re done.”
“Acknowledged.” She secured a slim bio-monitor bracelet on the man’s wrist, and activated it. This way she’d be able to download his progress and uplink the data to her room, even if she had to leave the lab. “Computer, try to revive the patient.”
The vibrations of an electric massage hummed. She studied his face. He had a distinct masculine jaw, stubbled and rugged. Full lips parted beneath the oxygen mask. A straight nose led to closed, long black eyelashes. He groaned, and she took a step back.
“He’s regaining consciousness.”
The intercom chirped. “Sakota, it’s Alistair. Should I send Captain Rutledge in with a few men for protection?”
“No. Hold off. I’ll let you know if I need help.”
“Okay. Just say the word.”
The man opened his eyes, dazed. A sea of glacial blue lit up his eyes, highlighting his smooth, light brown skin. She’d never seen anything like it. He blinked as he adjusted to the light, and stared brazenly at her with a fierce intelligence. He remained still, but followed every twitch of her fingers, and each subtle movement.
They had him strapped and more secure than the airlock seal, but the weight of his gaze stripped her bare, as though he were somehow probing her mind. He lifted his head, and his clear, blue eyes assessed her. She approached and willed her hand not to shake, but it didn’t listen.
“Hi. I’m Sakota Thorell, a medical officer aboard this ship,” she said softly. “I don’t know if you can understand me, but I need to examine you, to make sure you’re all right.” She stopped a foot away from the bed. “I won’t hurt you. I’m just going to feel your pulse for a second, okay?”
He gave a nod identical to the one she’d given him earlier. She repeated her name, and pointed to him. “What are you called? What’s your name?”
He opened his mouth, and she moved closer, eager for his first words. Instead, he watched her lips with obvious attraction. His intriguing eyes caught the light. Despite her disappointment that he couldn’t speak, a rush went through her. Alien or not, he was the most handsome man she’d ever laid eyes on, with the kind of ethereal elegance some upper class privileged men on Earth spent fortunes on plastic surgery trying to achieve.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk, or if you can’t. We’ll get there. Now, I’m going to check you, okay?” She kept her voice gentle, as she might use with a child. She pressed the button to disengage the protective bubble over the med bed, and she shone the retinal scanner in her own eye to show him. “I just need to look at your eye with this.” She motioned with the scope to him. “It won’t hurt, I promise.”
Warm puffs of his breath blew on her neck as she leaned in. She paused, noting the remarkable eight-pointed star-shape of his pupils. It was the one physical difference which set him apart, and only if one were to look very closely. The pupils dilated when hit by the light, and she’d never seen eyes as remarkable.
“You’re doing great,” she soothed. There were so many things she wanted to say. She had so many questions. Where are you from? How did you get here? What do you want? But he appeared to like the caress of her voice. He seemed relaxed, and his breath against her was steady. How long had she been staring into his eyes? Should she push her luck and see if he would let her examine his mouth?
Before she could try, his finger stroked her inner arm. He was still restrained at the wrists, but he could reach her.
She allowed it. He stroked a feathery finger along her forearm, and his eyes did not leave hers. She offered a kind smile. “That’s right. Friend. Sakota. Sa-ko-ta.”
He opened his mouth, and let out a chicken-like squawk. “-Ota,” he said in a throaty, deep voice.
“Good. Very good.”
He titled his head, watching her lips. “Gooood.”
Excited, she lowered the retinal light. “Can you understand me?”
He looked confused but alert. “Me…”
“Okay. That’s a no. Then let me take this opportunity to say, in no uncertain terms, that you’re the stuff of dreams and legends. I’ve waited my whole life for this. Are you watching this Alistair?” she called.

Available at all major retailers for only 99¢
Universal Link: www.books2read.com/loving-her
GoodReads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35890127-loving-her
Blurb:
It’s not just a love story, it’s an obsession…
Noah:
I’ve loved Bree my whole life. We were each other’s firsts when we were young and inexperienced, and I totally screwed up. I disappointed her, causing her to cry and run away. But over the years, I’ve learned, I’ve perfected, and I’ve dreamt of one day getting another shot with the love of my life.
When I finally get the chance never in my wildest dreams did I think Bree was like this. The girl who used to wear yellow sundresses is no longer Bree, she’s Brianna, my new mistress. I’ll do whatever needed for her forgiveness, even go to my knees and grovel.
However, there’s just one thing… I want Bree back, not Brianna. Once I get Bree, Brianna can do to me what she will.
Bree:
Maybe Noah doesn’t realize it, but he’s been mine ever since we were teens. I tried to apologize for disappointing him our first time, but never got the chance.
Now, when he approaches me at the bar, I can only think about all the things I want to do to him and with him. I plan to show him the skills I’ve honed over the years.
Little does he know what’s in store for him because I know his secrets, his desires, his needs. And I plan on giving it all to him.
However, just when I think I’m in control, he turns my world upside down.
Note: All books in the Obsessed series are standalone novellas. It is intended for audiences over 18 years of age since it includes explicit sexual situations, including BDSM.
Excerpt:
Noah:
I’ve loved her my whole life. At least since I can remember, which is all the way back to when she was in kindergarten and I was in first grade. I’d chase her through the backyard and around the jungle gym, trying to catch and kiss her.
If I’d succeed, she’d curl her little fingers into a fist, sock me in the gut, then run and tell her mother.
Yep, I had no game.
And, apparently, I didn’t leave an impression. Because now, at thirty, she’s still avoiding me.
Even though she can’t go very far at the moment since I’m her brother’s Best Man, and she’s the Maid of Honor.
Let me tell you, I hate weddings.
I hate them even more when I’m forced to stand across from her and can’t touch her, drag my fingers through her long, dark hair and run my lips along her delicate neck.
The only time I can touch her is when I escort her up the aisle. I’ve done it twice so far. However, she won’t meet my eyes, she feels stiff on my arm and she’s hardly said two words to me. And now I stand here while the wedding planner drones on and on about what’s expected of us during the ceremony tomorrow.
Yawn.
Look, Ms. Wedding Planner, it’s easy. Put one foot in front of the other, walk (without tripping) up the center aisle (can’t get lost while staying in between the rows of pews and aim for the front of the church), then stand to the side (no picking noses, asses, or adjusting your junk).
Simple.
Oh, and don’t pass out. Otherwise, the video will go viral across cyberspace.
One more thing… the rings. Can’t forget to put the rings in my tux pocket.
Got it.
Yawn again.
It isn’t as if I’m not happy for my buddy, getting married to a great woman (although, not quite as stunning as his sister) who makes him happy, but I’m not thrilled with being a part of it. But I have his back. And I’d love to have his sister on her back.
Again. But in better circumstances.
We lost our virginity together at seventeen in her parents’ pool shed. I was in love with her then, too. Her with me? Not so much.
And in those forty-five seconds of bliss, I fell in love with her even more. I don’t think she thought it was even close to bliss, though. In fact, she had run out of the shed crying while pulling down her sweet yellow sundress.
I was devastated, and that was a major blow to my seventeen-year-old ego.
I’ll admit it, I had a lot to learn.
However, I had to learn it elsewhere since she was no longer game. In fact, she avoided me (just like at this rehearsal).
But I did learn. I was determined to improve, to not make her cry next time. But, unfortunately, there never was a next time.
Eventually, Mrs. Callahan down the street was kind enough to take me under her wing. Teach me the ins and outs of women. Of pleasure. Of discovering what I wanted and what I wanted to give in return.
Mrs. Callahan.
Yeah.
She made me call her that, too. And I did (when I wasn’t calling her Mistress).
I learned.
I perfected.
I dreamt of one day getting another shot with the love of my life.
Now here we stand, across from each other. My eyes on her. Her eyes on everything but me.
I want her.
I need her.
Still.
Even after all these years.
As I stand across from her, I’m mesmerized by her unforgettable, stunning beauty.
I love her.
But I can’t have her.
And that fucking blows.

On the Las Vegas Shootings
When violence, be it direct or indirect, has been committed against your soul, it can send many mixed signals and daggers of fear into your heart. I wanted to write briefly about the tragic shootings in Las Vegas. As a mother, I worry about the future my children will grow up in. I worry what to tell them when something like this happens. As a soldier, I know that not everyone should have a weapon and that we need stricter gun laws. I know that there are veterans who suffer from PTSD, and that can bring horrific consequences if someone is mentally ill. As a writer, there are times while I’m writing novels when I do have to tune out the world so I can concentrate on what I’m doing, but sometimes the world can’t be silenced. Sometimes bad things happen to truly good people, and making sense out of it all is harder than trying to find a paperclip in an overgrown field.
To anyone who has been emotionally scarred by yesterday’s senseless tragedy, here are some things to help:
“In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can’t build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder, which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquility will return again.” ― Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl
“Monsters exist, but they are too few in number to be truly dangerous. More dangerous are the common men, the functionaries ready to believe and to act without asking questions.” – Primo Levi, Holocaust Survivor
“Music saved my life, and music saves me still.” – Alice Herz-Sommer, pianist and Holocaust survivor
I don’t know why tragedies occur. I don’t know why violence happens to innocent, good people.
But I do know a few things about resilience.
Going through hard times does make us stronger as individuals and as people. There is hardship and heartache and loss, yes, but it makes us survivors, and if you can keep the love in your heart and the inherent optimism in your soul, you will persevere and overcome anything.
Hold your loved ones a little closer today. Hug that person who hasn’t been hugged in a long time, and tell someone you love them. Hopefully something will be done about the gun laws in this country. Until they are changed, remember to nurture your soul, love others, and surround yourself with positive thoughts.
My love to all of you.
-R.
