Reneé
Nicole grew up just north of Raleigh, North Carolina, in the very
small town of Franklinton. Nicole, as her family and friends call
her, is a middle child and the best aunt ever (there’s even a mug
that says so). She has lived in a few different cities throughout the
United States, but for now calls Richmond, Virginia her home. Nicole
graduated from college with a degree in Criminal Justice, and
received her master’s degree in Justice Studies. Since then, she
has worked for over a decade in the criminal justice field.
Specifically, community corrections: first as a state probation and
parole officer, and now as a federal probation officer. Since no one
calls her mom or wife, she holds her ‘auntie’ title with pride.
Nicole spends her nights in front of a computer screen writing about
fictional men who do naughty things that would make anyone blush, and
badass women who both want it and love it.
Nicole’s
love of books developed later in life, after she was dragged into
reading one of the best trilogies of all time. This led her to fall
in love with writing. In particular, the process of using the power
of words and imagination to entertain. She decided to write what she
knows – but with lots and lots of steam. Nicole is excited to
change her career path and provide entertainment to every person who
picks up her book. Criminal Justice degree and author: sounds
about right.
These
days you can find Nicole working as a federal probation officer. A
day job, as some may call it. But it’s not her only day job: she’s
also a certified florist and small business owner of a flower shop,
Petals of Color, with her sister and business partner. Nicole loves
traveling, good rum, good wine, and spending time with her parents,
siblings, and family.

“A what? Like the character in X-Men?”
He gave her a lopsided grin. “No, c’mon. I’ll show you.”
She followed him to the open archway where the living room led into the dining room. He looked around the ceiling, and lifted a hand to knock on the wall partition above them. It made a solid sound. “Here should be perfect. There’s enough space for it below the wainscot.”
“For what?” she asked, confused.
He chuckled, positioned the black rack-like thing on the wall above them, and held it still.
“Oh, it’s a pull-up bar?”
“Yep.”
The loud, electric whirr of the power drill echoed as he fixed the pull-up bar to the wall space above them. She watched his strong legs as he stood on a chair securing the last screws. He yanked on the bar a little to ensure it was in place, and patted the wall. “That ought to do it.” He jumped down from the chair and set the power drill on it. “Want to see it in action?”
He’d need to jump a few feet in order to even hold onto it. “If you can reach that thing and still do pull-ups, be my guest. I’ve got to see this.”
Griffith chuckled and ducked his head as he peeled off his T-shirt. She did her best not to salivate at the sight of his hard body. The man was all muscle, and didn’t have an ounce of fat on him.
“Don’t want to get sweat on it.” He winked at her, balled the shirt up, and set it on the chair. But Sonnet wasn’t listening, her eyes remained glued to his impossible muscles as he jumped up, clutched the bar, and crossed his ankles. He started doing pull-ups.
She folded her arms and stared. Hell, she couldn’t pretend not to, even out of courtesy. Her pussy throbbed, and she clenched her thighs together to soothe the ache. “One,” she joked when he got to ten.
“Hey, shut it, you. These are, ugh, hard to do.”
A small trickle of sweat trailed past the long, faded scars between his shoulders, along the center of his spine, and the crazy image of licking off the droplet filled her brain. “I’ll take your word for it, and let you do all the work.”
“Fine by me,” he grunted and dropped back down. “And that’s how it’s done.”
She held onto his shirt while he grabbed some paper towels and dried off, then chucked them in a nearby bin. She handed him the shirt, though what she really wanted to do was bury her nose in it.

“Pfft. Yeah,” Lee’s drink showed up, and the lady who dropped it off winked at her. The simple flirtation was enough to get Lee’s attention. “You say that because you don’t bother to get close to anyone flesh and blood. You can’t let—”
“Don’t say her name, please.” Sampson downed the imitation vodka with the poor weak burn, which only made him crave the real stuff.
She was there today.
“You can’t run from the past.” Lee’s words were half-hearted, her focus drawn to the roaming waitress.
“Says the woman who never talks about hers.” His accusation got the assassin’s gaze on him.
“There’s a difference between running and talking. I’ve faced all my demons and won. I don’t need to re-hash something with no hold or sway over me. You, on the other hand, get all clammed up at the mere mention of someone who hurt you. You confront those things, or they eat you up inside. This I can speak of with authority.”
Lee pushed her seat back and stood. Sampson sat in awe of this woman’s confident nature, in full possession of every part of herself. He wanted to be the same. To know himself as well as Lee did. To be settled in his skin.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me. The woman who brought our drinks is fatching me with her eyes, and I intend to do something about it. Don’t wait around for me. Head back to Al’s whenever.”
Every port we stop in. Sampson grinned. “Have a good time.”
“Oh, I will.”
Lee winked. With her half-empty vest of knives and swaying ponytail, she moved away without a sound.
Sampson glanced at his glass. It sat empty, like the deepest parts of him. Not an unfamiliar experience as Sampson found himself included by the other members of the crew, but still treated as a kid. Sure, they cared about him, but eager for him to tag along or spend time outside of missions with him not so much. He found himself lonely more often than not, and wishing he had a closer friend, someone more his age.
“Hello, Sampson. Long time.”
His gaze traveled from his glass to the woman who’d propped one knee on the chair Lee had abandoned. Red-brown-blonde hair was down and flowing freely instead of wrapped up in the woman’s usual twin buns, and an odd-colored tunic of the Saturn style hung past her waist but accented her creamy tan skin and gold eyes. This new look, paired with her stance, made her seem more innocent.
But I know better.
Between his blood pounding, the remembrance of her cries of pleasure and the explosive concussion and her betrayal, sounds flooded his ears. She’d stolen from him, his crew. He’d fallen so hard, young, dumb…thinking with his swinging pipe.
Zasha. She was there today.
She’d betrayed them when they’d helped her. Lied to him, his family…for flash.
Sampson fisted the empty glass so tightly it cracked. “Not long enough.”

I’m torn and hope you can help me. Long story short, I’d been having some issues with my stepmother. My dad is NO help just leaving us to fight it out. When everything came to a head I had to leave the house just to get away from her. Things were going pretty good, I found a house with these seven guys that are so sweet. They got me my own special yogurt fridge and take me on hikes through the forest.
My big problem started when my stepmom tried to make up with a fruit bouquet. I forgot about my allergy (I feel so stupid for that), and with one bite of that apple I wound up in a coma. I’m much better now, but along the way to the hospital I was resuscitated by an EMT who’s been blowing up my phone. I don’t even know how he got my number and he keeps asking me out.
Should I go for it? I mean, he did save my life. And that sounds really romantic.

You would do best to steer clear unless your kink is to assure a man after five thrusts that you quite enjoyed his performance.

While I’m uncertain if this is not all a waste of time, I shall proceed. Last year at a company function, which required black-tie and social-climbing socializing, I had the unfortunate experience of meeting a man who enrages me on every level. I would have written off his dismissive tongue and callow demeanor were it not for discovering that my beloved sister is madly in love with his best friend. And this bastard had the audacity to say my sister isn’t good enough for his friend.
To make matters even more infuriating, this man has hired my firm to assist in renovating his summer home by the lake. Every day, I am forced to grit my teeth and get through another eight hours of his curt words and antagonistic gestures. Because my life is one ending tragedy, he’s begun to insist we meet even after work hours to solidify the plans already marked as finalized.
Even when I am not near him, I can hear his grating, snooty voice in my ear and smell his expensive cologne on my clothing. What, short of any illegal activities, can I do to rid myself of this problem?
