Have you ever been to Louisiana? Which part? Did you get a chance to visit New Orleans? How about the bayous? Obviously there’s a lot more to the state than one city and a large stretch of ruggedly beautiful wilderness.

But if you’ve ever been, I’d like to hear about your trip. Where did you eat? Where did you stay? Did you see the sights? Did you take a swamp tour? And what about the people? Meet any interesting characters?

Leave me a comment below and tell me all about it. And if you live there…tell me about your favorite haunts.

Lion

I like kick butt, action packed paranormal romance as much (if not more than) the next girl. But my current project, it’s a little different.

Okay, it’s a lot different.

It’s a different breed of paranormal romance. There are no cranky Gods wreaking havoc on poor paranormals, causing problems in innocent humans lives. There are no shoot outs, car chases, or all out brawls.

So you may be wondering, what the hell is it about? And will it be any good?

Well, I’ll leave that up to you to decide but I will tell you…the book I’m working on right now is hard core emotional, super sensual, filled with angst and passion, lessons learned, new beginnings, and finding yourself in a crazy world. Like I said, it’s a new breed of paranormal romance and I can’t wait until it’s unleashed on the world.

Speaking of paranormal romance, what have you been reading lately? Anything you’d recommend?

Some days it’s easier to squash than others.

And when I feel like I’m going to drown in guilt, the best thing to do is take action. Nothing takes away the sting of feeling like a worthless bunch of slime like kicking butt and taking names. Particularly when it comes to writing new words. Lots and lots of words.

Knocking things off the to do list feels like the ultimate cure. It feels good to take action. Marking things off my to do list is almost healing. To send off chapters to a critique partner and finish up a critique for her. Progress, it seems, is the answer.

The key, of course, is to keep making progress.

I have the best fans in the world. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again. I’m so blessed that they love my work and always want more.

But the problem is, every minute I’m not writing these days, I feel guilty.

I feel guilty for watching DWTS when I could be working on a new book.

I feel guilty for relaxing with a cup of coffee or a glass or wine when I could be hammering out  a new plot.

I feel guilty when I’m sick and just not feeling up to writing.

The problem is, I have no idea how to stop feeling guilty. Maybe the feeling will end when my next book comes out. I hope.
