Review of Ready & Willing

“Two individuals going after the head position of leader of the pack. Both have valid reasons as to why they should be the Alpha. They must learn to work together and to trust each other. The tension that Selena creates between Ava and Kaden drives the story forward, capturing you at every page. The heat Ava and Kaden exude, wow, hot!! Then add Kaden’s good looks and smooth lines, you’ll swoon!!
Selena has a smooth writing style that sucks you into the story. The characters are filled with emotions, depth, and leave you wanting to know them better. Though this was a quick read, you got a full story. Never did I feel like it was being rushed, or something was missing. “

Get On Top of That Horse
I don’t know about other writers, but when it comes deadline time, things start piling up. Things being laundry, email, chores, administrative tasks, blog posting, other writing. It all moves to the back of the stovetop and collects dust as I plow through the end of the current project.
I’m not proud of this.
But I accept it. And that’s the first step.
The week after a project’s conclusion is the time I get back on top of the horse. I rein in the laundry monster, put my house back to rights and start shoveling my way through my task list. This is my current state.
This week I spent far too much time wrangling email. But the good news, I’m making progress and every little bit helps. Sometimes it feels like those projects on the back burner will never move up. But all it takes it one good day. One day that blazes with progress. One day where I knock items off the to do list and I’m raring to go again.
Thank goodness today was one of those days.

Crazy Outlook
So you probably saw my plea for help today on twitter/facebook. My goals for the day were to clear out my inbox, organize my Works in Progress, work on the plot of the next Cajun Werewolf book and write, write, write.
Well, it’s almost 3 in the afternoon and I’m still futtering (yeah, I made that up.) around in Outlook.
The problem that’s bugging me the most is this:
When I get an email in that I need to respond to, follow up on, or do something about, I click the little red flag to send it to my Task List.
For whatever reason, instead of adding the item once, it adds it 3, 4, sometimes even 6 times to the Task List.
Here’s a screen shot:
Why is it doing this? Someone help! I want to get back to writing books.
Updated to add: For what it’s worth: I’m running Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 machine. My email is through Gmail and hooked up to Outlook.

Review of Stormy Weather Anthology
Debra at Debra’s Book Cafe Said:
“This series has a great amount of hot and steamyness with a lot of great romantic build up and for all those of you who enjoy a heavily erotic paranromal story, I would recommend you give this a try. “

Hot Summer Heroes Blog Hop
The Hot Summer Heroes Blog Hop hosted by: Caris Roane, HD Thomson, Bella Media Management
What makes a hero hot?
To me, a hero is extra hot when he’s as mentally attractive as he is physically. A dash of smarts, a hint of protectiveness, and a side of thoughtfulness all add to the appeal.
What am I giving away?

Review of Stormy Weather Collectors Edition
Lucy Felthouse at Erotica for All said:
“So if you’re looking for a well-written, sexy, romantic paranormal read, then you should definitely check out this book. All the tales are available individually, but if you love werewolf tales then you may as well buy this edition and get the best value for money, and also enjoy all five Deveraux men one after the other. A very enjoyable read.”

I have the best readers
I know, I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again.
I have the best readers. And sometimes you guys are so hilarious.
On Facebook today I was lamenting how sad it is to see athletes who’ve worked so hard fall short of winning or even placing, due to a bad day or injury. I proposed we give out a Copper Medal to anyone who even makes it to the Olympics.
To which fabulous reader Victoria replied: An Olympic participation medal?? Honey, it’s not t-ball.
Hahahaha! Honestly, I laughed until I cried.
That my friends is our quote of the week!
What event are you watching closely? Is your country doing well in the games? Who’s your favorite athlete?

Dislike Button
Today I need a dislike button. There aren’t many things that feel as heartstoppingly awful as losing your work. Word and I are having it out at the moment.
Good-bye 1200 words. I know you were glorious.

Some people rock, some people suck
Came across this video earlier and just had to share. I think everyone’s entitled to their beliefs. But I can’t stand it when people disrespect others, especially on such a painful day. Thank goodness for these bikers.
