And when I feel like I’m going to drown in guilt, the best thing to do is take action. Nothing takes away the sting of feeling like a worthless bunch of slime like kicking butt and taking names. Particularly when it comes to writing new words. Lots and lots of words.
Knocking things off the to do list feels like the ultimate cure. It feels good to take action. Marking things off my to do list is almost healing. To send off chapters to a critique partner and finish up a critique for her. Progress, it seems, is the answer.
The key, of course, is to keep making progress.
