If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?

Right now? Scotland. Because my heart pleasantly aches every time I see pictures of it. And it fuels my imagination.

Hi! You are my favorite author! I was just wondering, would you ever consider starting a workshop (like an online one-maybe through a series of YouTube videos) or blog for teen writers that would help them in their writing/mentor them? Because if so, I’d d

Thank you so much! That is very kind of you to say :)

I have thought about doing something like this. Once I get my third book drafted, I will seriously think about how to go about it. Maybe not YouTube since I don’t have much experience there, but possibly blog posts…

Hi! So, when you’ve been writing a plot for a book, have you ever personally wanted to include a certain plot/scene (say for YOUR reader self), but felt uncertain that OTHER readers would want to read that plot/find it interesting? Sometimes I’m unsure whe

Ah, okay. So this is really easy to do. I know I have felt this way before. I combat it by saying this to myself: “For my first draft, the best thing to do is write for my reader self. Put down all the scenes I want. Don’t worry about other readers right now. No one but me is going to see this draft, and I can 100% indulge myself with it and enjoy the journey.”

The best book you are going to write is the one you want to read. And honestly? All readers have different tastes. As an author, I am unable to please every reader. And that is okay! So try not to allow the expectations of others to creep into your drafting. Now, if there is a scene that eventually needs to go because it’s not furthering the plot, a beta reader can help you find that.
