There is something so genuine about this high schooler’s review of The Love of Three Oranges
I just love it and had to share.
The Love of Three OrangesByRyan Yamaguchion December 5, 2013
“The Love of Three Oranges” by Hillary De Piano is described as a “fairy tale on crack.” It consists of many puns and is interactive with the audience. This play is a great investment of time. It’ll sweep you off your feet with laughter and fun for the full hour and a half. You’ll experience many different types of laughs from the big strong hardy laughs to the fun giggles. This play is a must see with...

The Love of Three Oranges at Longwood University review: “It’s like the fourth wall never even existed.”
While I’ve already told you about the factual error in this review, the rest of it is really good and I wanted to share parts of it because it’s really a great review.
I’m going to bold the lines that are my favorite.

Love it! The Love of Three Oranges as training for the slapstick comedy of Mel Brooks
Performing in this piece will also prove useful for the younger set, she explained, because they will become accustomed to extreme slapstick comedy, which will be needed in the school’s spring presentation of ‘Young Frankenstein.’

I just passed my stretch goal of 150,000 words for the year!
Remember how I set a modest goal of 100,000 words for the year for my first year as a mother? Remember how I hit it early? Then remember how I increased it to 150,000 and hit that too?
Oh, sorry, did I not tell you about that last part?
Well, check it:

2014 Writing Goal: Keeping focused on finishing things while still freeing my ideas
I’ve decided to completely overhaul my writing goals for 2014. The reason I originally created this challenge was to get me to write more and, hey, mission accomplished! But while I love the yearly goal instead of a daily one for keeping me writing regularly while still giving me the flexibility to miss a day if needed, I’ve discovered a few big pro...

In celebration of “over-the-top, fruity” wizards with illustrious stage careers
In an October interview with the Guardian, [Damian] Lewis expressed the fears he felt in his 20s if he did not get out of the theatre in time: ‘that I would be one of these slightly over-the-top, fruity actors who would have an illustrious career on stage, but wouldn’t start getting any kind of film work until I was 50 and then start playing wizards.’
