Discovering A Simple Love Language

A long time ago,
 I was jealous of the sunrays.
They kissed you
 the way
 I wanted to kiss you.
Later in life, 
I learned
 how to be a sun 
for you.

I learned
that there are myriad ways 
 to plant a seed of love 
in your feelings. 
I learned
that there are myriad ways 
to seed a kiss 
in your heart. 

 I learned 
that there are myriad ways  
to say “I love you” 
without whispering a word.
Now I remember all these 
when I feel the sunrays
touching my cheeks
again.

Welcome To My New Poetry Book

Hello, Friends,

Happy spring!  

My poetry book, Blooming, is officially out and published. It has been a wild, crazy ride, but eventually my book is out at the same time with the coming of spring here in Massachusetts. What a beautiful coincidence!

When I decided to write this poetry collection, I thought that in this world filled with violence and promiscuity, we all need an escape to beauty, purity, and love. Also, we all need small steps to reach these beautiful feelings. Small steps like tiny seeds.

At that moment, the book’s main idea popped up in my mind, seed–grow–bloom.

I focused myself on this promising idea: deep feelings grow from tiny seeds and blossom into beautiful flowers. I worked hard on every poem. I wrote about the themes of love, healing through affection, self-discovery, femininity, beauty, hope, and other awesome blessings of life.

Every chapter is accompanied by elegant, abstract black-and-white illustrations. I hope you will love them as much I do.

This Is How You Can Heal My Heart

Touch my heart 
with the hands of love.
 Only these soft hands know 
how to heal my wounds 
with a weightless caress.
 Only these hands know 
when to seed sunflowers
in my tears.
Save my heart 
with the hands of love. 
One day,
I promise,
I will bloom
only for you.

 

Turn Poetry Into Life

If you want to experience beauty,
turn poetry into life.
There is no other simpler way.

Look at people
with the eyes of your heart,
add a verse of love
here and there,
heal the painful in-betweens
of your life
as you would rewrite a little poem
with empathy and wonder,
seed a hug
in everything you do,
spread your light and purity
over the fields of this world.

There is no other simpler way
to experience beauty.

Turn poetry into life.
This is the miracle
that you can do every day.
Let poetry be alive.

There are so many ways
to see you,
when I merely close my eyes.

There are so many ways
to call your name,
when I close my mouth.

I can hug you
without my arms.

I can kiss you
without my lips.

I can tell you,
“I miss you,”
without any word.

There are so many ways
to set free
all the miracles of love,
when I just open my heart
for you.

that you will enter

through my skin,

under my muscles,

that loves you

from the depths

of my blood,

from the valleys

of my veins,

from the peaks

of my muscles,

from the houses

of my bones,

from the ocean
